The blue line does run directly behind the house and you can hear it. That being said, it did not bother us or hinder our ability to get a good night of sleep. 2. You can hear other guests moving around. As advertised, this is an older home that is now functioning as a bed and breakfast. There are old, wooden floors that creak when people walk, and on occasion, we could hear other guests as they moved and up and down the halls. Again, this did not bother us, keep us awake, etc. 3. The staff is friendly and helpful, but they are not always available. They are often somewhere working around the Inn and you have to track them down. You have no choice but to sit with nothing to lean against or lay down. There are ample pillows but they are all flat. The bathroom is large, but the vanity is too small to hold any of your personal toiletries. The shower is large with a bench to sit on, but there is no where hang your wet towels. Most importantly, there is no climate control in the rooms. It is poorly designed from a hospitality point of view. We had to put towels on the air conditioning vents because it was too cool in our room. We called the front desk the first time to complain and the gentleman agreed to raise the temperature. That lasted about an hour before the cooling system kicked in again and we had the same problem. After calling a second time, the man finally offered to bring us vent covers, but at that point we were already undressed and ready for bed. This is a known problem that is mentioned in other reviews. The so called Continental breakfast was adequate but nothing that would merit the price paid for staying there. We spent over 400 dollars to sleep in a tiny room with our clothes on and eat frozen croissants from Costco Wholesale Club. Chicago is filled with much better choices at this price, so keep looking and pass on this one.

The master bath had an amazing shower with steam. We appreciated the location, which was close enough to everything; we walked to many great restaurants and a concert at The Rivera. The staff was wonderful and helpful. They offered lots of great recommendations for food and activities. The beds are soft and the master bed was a bit too "broken in" for our likes. The room was very quiet and relaxing. The only other criticism I have is that the bathroom with the tub wasn't working properly, we could get the tub to fill up. We parked in a garage in the back, which was super nice. The lobby is very inviting and cozy, snacks and drinks are available. I do wish an iron and ironing board were.available, but the washer and dryer in the room made up for it. Overall, I highly recommend and want to stay here again.
