Karen is an incredible host! She gave us great suggestions for dinner spots and was very warm and welcoming. We were in the Tailor's Cottage so we could bring our dog. The rooms were well decorated and comfortable. Some room updates could be added i.e. toilet (too low) grab bars in the shower. I was disappointed to see that the old living room was converted to a wine bar. The wine bar was vacant most of the time. We were not allowed to drink our own wine on premises when the bar was open leaving us no alternative but to have wine in one of the 3 guest rooms. Breakfast was adequate but not as fancy as on my previous visit. Karen, the Inn Keeper, was accommodating and arranged for us to have dinner with an Amish family. This was probably the last visit I will make to this B&B and will look for new accomodations on a future trip to the area.

The spot where the water comes out needs descaled and when I went to stretch my arms behind me my hand went into a spider web. Not quite what I had in mind for a romantic get away with my wife. We went to bed after trying to comfortably sit on the super small couch in the living room - it was like you had to sit up super straight in order to sit next to each other . No space to lounge about . The bed was an embarrassment. It was dented in on one side . Very uncomfortable and the sheets were not comfortable either . I was actually in pain from sleeping there and my wife was also. Overall, it seemed to us that the place was not really kept up with. The room not being ready for anyone to be there. Spider webs showing us no one is cleaning it regularly. The dust accumulated under the bed with the sheets sitting there in all that dust pointed to the same thing. The coffee basket with one k cup and one tea bag and two creamers and two sugar substitutes - no one had been in before us to clean and prepare the room. We left early and gave the room key to my aunt who was appalled and disgusted by what she saw. We felt kinda bad for leaving earlier than what she paid for but it simply was not comfortable at all. I will start off with the grounds and buildings being beautiful and decorated nicely. My husband and I have two wonderful tours with Lisa and Cathi, and were blown away by how gorgeous the venue is. On the other hand, the staff from our wedding definitely did not have any organization or knowledge of how to execute our service. We paid for the Chocolate River with 5 dipping items, and only 3 were put out for our guests. We also paid for the sparkler send off and we were never provided with them. We were not offered a refund for the unprovided service/items. Cathi did offer us to stay another night down the road which was appreciated, However after staying the night of our wedding we would never do so again. The room itself was beautiful, however the mattress was very old and sunken down in the middle - not to mention extremely uncomfortable and you couldn't even blink without the bed creaking. We hardly got a wink of sleep that night. The breakfast the next morning was mediocre and not what you would expect from such a “luxury” venue. Reflecting back on my wedding day almost 2 years later I would say that I would not recommend booking a wedding at Cameron, or honestly even paying the price to stay there. My husband and I are quite disappointed with our overall experience and believe that we significantly overpaid for what was intended to be a luxury wedding venue.

The mansion is beautiful. Our friends stayed in the mansion and we were in rm 12 in the carriage house. We found the rooms chilly and were disappointed there were no individual thermostats in our rooms to regulate the heat to our comfort level. The heat in rm 12 did cycle on at times. The ceiling heater in the bathroom which would have helped warm things up made a loud, grinding noise when turned on and was obviously out of order. Our friends in the mansion could have used a space heater as the temps went down into the 30's but they were comfortable for sleeping. Our first morning breakfast was excellent. The girls were ready for guests at 8AM and had many options on offer for our hot breakfast. They were very accommodating and pleasant. Our next morning breakfast was a totally different experience. At 8 AM nothing was set out, a gal showed up and said they weren't ready. She didn't seem to know what to do. Finally another girl showed up. Someone apparently overslept. Eventually coffee was made but the pump wasn't assembled correctly, so it needed one of the gals to put a piece in there so it would work. When I asked for milk, they said it would be coming because someone had to run out to get milk as they were out. We were offered hot breakfast items however French toast and sausage were not available as they hadnt been restocked. We were told that they could do eggs anyway, along with bacon and toast. After we placed our order, the girl came back to us and said that only scrambled eggs, bacon and toast were on offer. It was a frustrating experience for all of us as the day before had been perfect; well staffed, well stocked with all items available and well organized. I could not understand why if they were providing toast why they couldn't make French toast. As there was no management on hand, I emailed Greystone when we got home. I had a brief email in response several days later saying my email was shown to the manager and would I accept a partial refund which I said was a nice gesture along with asking them if they happened to find a bottle of perfume in our room and to please let me know. That was the last I heard from them. Disappointing.

Homemade fresh cookies mid day. Fresh scones or muffins with breakfast. Breakfasts were amazing . There are so many games or books to choose from if you like that. I found this B&B on Google maps and it was a great experience. The owners are lovely and the rooms were decorated in a fun way and the historical house was cool to see. The house is decorated so cute, and is immaculately clean. We were the only people staying, which was really quite lovely. Our room was spacious and quite comfy!However, and this is the only negative I can say for our entire experience. I got about three hours total of sleep, our room was located in the front of the inn and the traffic on the main road was quite loud all night. I’m not sure if it’s a trucking route, but you could hear some of the trucks coming from half a mile away. I would absolutely stay here again, and recommend it to anyone, but if you’re a light sleeper I would opt for either the guest house or a room towards the back of the inn. Breakfast was exquisite, and was a great start to our day. We didn’t even need to eat again until dinner time. Overall, great stay, minus the lack of sleep.

The inn itself is charming, and there was some history in the guest book in our room. The hosts keep the place immaculate and are very accommodating. We stayed in the empire room and I thoroughly enjoyed sitting on our private balcony looking at the magnolia trees preparing to blossom. We had a comfortable bed with nice bedding. Both 2 night stays. Where do I start.... This place was perfect. Much better (and reasonable) than your usual hotel. I stayed in the Empire Room both times. Some of the beds had pine needles under the last set of sheets, also there was a gritty substance on the sheets like carpet fresh. We stayed at The Apple Bin Inn while in "Amish Country" and absolutely loved it! The location is fantastic; there are a ton of great attractions and restaurants within a mile or two. Our room was immaculate, and felt like home.
