Went for Mother's Day all you can eat breakfast with most my family.
A great time had, food very good but could taste better as a little bland in parts.
Sadly though, don't like the idea of staff taking plates whilst still eating. Nor telling us to go before 11.15am, when we booked at 9.30am didn't get all our food sorted until after 10am and spent good money there.
We ended up leaving at 11.30am, so a bit disappointed with what they said.
Otherwise, it's a great place, accessible for disabled and has a disabled loo too. And there's a sloping road down to play area, where kids can play whilst watching boats or ducks on canal adjacent to restaurant.

Family meal, Costel was great. We had a variety of meals, chicken tikka, smothered chicken, fish and chips, Korean burger, carvery and breakfasts many times in the past. The steak is fantastic and cooked as you like it and its cooked perfectly every time. The atmosphere is warm, family orientated and the staff are accommodating and friendly. Went for Anastasia concert. This venue is uncovered except balcony so you need to make sure you well covered because you may be cold. I saw people with the blankets and I thought it was a good idea 😂. This place is just few minutes from the train station which makes it very accessible. There were lots of food and drinks places and the waits was not very long. The concert was great and accustic was good. Recommend this place but make sure you cover yourself well in case of rain.

A concert.. Apollo Junction, Cast and Doves. Fabulous concert. Apollo Junction were very good. Cast were my standout. Doves sound odd without their normal lead singer, not helped by the mix that seemed to hide their vocals behind the music.

What a lovely day out! Everything about Piece Hall is stunningly beautiful, we were pleasantly surprised.
There are cafes, bars, shops, museums, concerts, markets and much more.
Everyone who works there was so helpful and friendly.

Let’s start with the customer service which sadly was absolutely terrible, from the queuing system to the till operator there is just no organisation whatsoever. We queued for 20 minutes to get to the front for the guy to ignore us and take telephone orders and shout at the kitchen staff.

The beef steak was super thin, cold and over cooked.
The chicken tenders were also over cooked and ice cold.
As a first time goer I was very underwhelmed by both the food and service

Experience of Frangoz.
It's my second visit to Frangoz. I find this place a cosy warm small two-story restaurant( ground and first floor). They have a wide variety of items listed on their menu. Their staff was humble, polite and nice.
I asked them “What's their speciality? To which they replied “ Our burgers and pizza”.
I decided to have one Peri Peri Chicken Salad and Beefy Fries with Coca-Cola. They told me to sit upstairs. That I thought to be healthy and filling.
The dining place is clean and tidy. The interior colour scheme is warm and warm lighting in it. Their waiter brought the food within 5 minutes with a napkin and spicy sauce.
Food Review.
Waiting time was small. The quality of Beefy Fries and Perri Perri Chicken was amazing. The meat and mice were cooked to perfection. The quality of the vegetables was also great. It seemed saucy but not too much. The flavour is mild and spicy. I pretty much liked it. The cost of food items was 10.88£. I also ordered Coca-Cola for 1.29 £.

I enjoyed both of the items, with zero food wastage.

Went today and was served by the wonderful Megan. Love that the fish and chip shop have been around since 1972. Got a huge portion of fish’n’chips for only £9.95. There is a smaller version for £6.95. Loved thst there were plenty of scraps too. Dry, stale and cold chips, a fish butty costing £7.95 which was so tiny, withered, stale and hard around the edges, it didn’t even cover the teacake!

This is our own experience with this business, and we know different clients will have different experiences — but we always like to leave a review based on the service we received when we ordered or visited.
We recently visited Pearsons, Halifax’s oldest established fish takeaway and restaurant, which is open Monday through Saturday. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted pleasantly by two members of staff who were friendly and welcoming. We asked if we could eat in, and they showed us to a lovely window seat upstairs. The dining area upstairs is spacious, bright, and can comfortably accommodate a good number of diners.
The bathroom facilities upstairs were clean and tidy, although we did notice one small issue — the stall door locks in both the ladies’ and gents’ were a bit stiff and didn’t line up properly, making them tricky to close and reopen. Hopefully, that’s something that can be easily fixed because everything else was spot on.
Our table was set up with all the essentials — plenty of condiments (Heinz products, which we always appreciate — see picture!) and clean cutlery.
Our food arrived promptly, piping hot, and the portion sizes were great. The children absolutely loved their fish and chips with curry sauce, while we went for the Yorkshire fishcake and chips, which were cooked perfectly and really hit the spot.
We enjoyed it so much we forgot to take photos before it was all gone!
Pearsons also has convenient parking at the back in a private car park, and you can pay easily through the RingGo app. It’s also just a short walk to The Piece Hall, so it’s a great spot to grab a bite before or after exploring the area.
All in all, we had a lovely visit — great food, friendly service, and a welcoming atmosphere. We can highly recommend Pearsons if you’re after classic, well-cooked fish and chips in Halifax.

Just received a takeaway mixed kebab from Luigi's. Have always enjoyed them and recommended to many people. Unfortunately, the chicken in the kebab was raw in the middle and the whole thing was cold on delivery. It was almost as if the lad on the till was also cooking, serving, cleaning, taking customer complaints... He didn't have enough hands and there seemed to be no one else around to help him on a busy morning.

We picked it up and a few minutes later realised it was very thin, we checked our order was for an original crust and not a thin crust then called the store, instead of apologising they went from quietly talking very normally to some form of language I couldn’t understand and I had to ask if he was talking to me. Really nice sandwiches and breakfasts, not sure what else is on offer but the staff are friendly and welcoming even if we do disagree whether it is a barm, muffin or a teacake every time I come in to order a muffin. Generally a busy sandwich shop which should tell you everything you need to know. It wouldn't regularly be busy if it weren't any good. Would definitely recommend.

I stumbled across this delightful, well stocked and different from other Health food shops this week whilst having some time to kill! The owner Natalie was so helpful and friendly it was hard not to leave. I had an excellent latte and enjoyed browsing round the shop for gift ideas. Loved the idea of plastic free products and organic fruit and veg. Bought some of their homemade peanut butter which was delicious. I will certainly be visiting again and trying the organic veg box. Well Done Natalie and family for bringing something different to Halifax.
