Last week, I visited Vesta Wood-Fired and had an amazing experience. Even though I arrived close to closing time, the staff was incredibly friendly and quickly got us a table. I tried the Old Fashioned cocktail, calamari with roasted pepper, and a margherita pizza. Husband and I had cocktails then a glass of wine each, shared eggplant rollatini app, meatballs app, and 2 12 inch pizzas, took home a slice of cheesecake. $125. Very reasonable with very large portions for the apps.
Rollatini was very good, meatballs came with a dollop of ricotta. Ring of Fire pizza had a great kick. Nunzio pizza was great. We enjoyed the slice of cheesecake in our pjs.

Pros:
From the moment you enter the staff is friendly and you see they're trying to ensure a great experience. I think they even had someone opening the door at the entrance. The waiter was nice, attentive and other staff or the manger was aware of the room. Refills came swiftly and more importantly the food was delicious. It is a beautiful place inside and outside to take some nice photos. The lighting provides a relaxing feeland they played some good music, I think I shazamed one song! It's easy to find in a nice corner location.

Horse racing can be a very good time and the Meadowlands race track can provide that! I've been there a handful of times for live racing and in terms of driving there, parking, and entering there has never been congestion. If you do go for one of their event like the hambletonian except some lines and wait. The track itself, seating and the venue is awesome! You can make it a great time for family, friends or kids. Just know that there will be an environment there of habitual betters and people who do off track betting. There is a subculture for that. We went to go watch UFC on the 2nd floor. Forgot the name of the bar... when ypu go in the main entrance, go up the elevator and past the window seating to the velvet ropes. They got this big blue-lit room with a bunch of huge projected screens. The drinks were $25 each (what do you expect from the Meadowlands?), but we weren't there to get lit. We were there for the UFC. Anyhow, if you have the time and some extra cash, it's a lit different than your average sports bar.

Not only that, they were accommodating enough to make adjustments to it for me (capers and truffle oil)! It was perfect! Although the Almond Joy waffles is on their dessert menu, I personally categorize this as a breakfast item. Although we aren’t on the same page with its placement on the menu, we are definitely in agreement with its appearance and taste. I was screaming with joy as I consumed the chocolate covered coconut candies with chocolate ice cream!

After watching KingSchratz video on this place and the best Meatballs in NJ award I came here to try it out. The meatball parm was huge with a nice crispy bread and the meatballs were very juicy and tender (they will melt in your mouth) their sauce is also really good but my only complaint about the sandwich is there is too much cheese. I also got a margarita slice which was pretty good the sauce was good and the basil had a nice kick however it was a little burnt. Overall the meatballs were excellent but not the best I’ve ever had. I would highly recommend PizzAmore.

My daughter wasn't feeling the greatest and was hungry for some chicken noodle soup, which we didn't think we'd find anywhere this late in the evening. So, we decided on Italian. Ralphs had many owners over the years. This current owner who I believe has owned for a couple of years has brought back the Ralphs I remember. Their pizza was delicious and so was the salad that we ordered it's a BYOB and it's a quiet atmosphere a nice place to gather with your friends. I highly recommend it. All the Chipotle's I've been too have the same look, feel, and their setup seems identical to me. Just grab and go. The burrito bowl is my favorite. Even though I only go at off-peak times, it's happened to me 3 times in the past year alone. As a taco lover from CA, I reluctantly tried this place again as it was convenient. I should have listened to my inner voice yelling "NOOOOOOO! IT SUCKED BEFORE ITS GOING TO SUCK AGAIN!". But of course I didn't listen. This however brought up memories of my first visit. Empty store, waited 20 minutes for four tacos. I was told that it only order two of each protien for the four tacos and not add another. The reason I order multiple meats so that I can figure out what the taqueria is good at. My go to are always al pastor and chorizo, a barbacoa or carne asada, they don't have barbacoa and the steak will cost more so I stuck with the chorizo and Al pastor. The drink machine is down and although I normally wouldn't let that get to me The whole experience was off.
So after 15 minutes I get the tacos and honestly the chorizo had decent flavor but was dry. chorizo is usually so fatty and delicious that dry is rarely a descriptive adjective that I would use. So two of those moistened up with the salsa which is good they were okay.
This brings me to the al pastor or steak I couldn't figure out what it was and if they got my order wrong. Parts of it were porky which led me to believe that it was all pastor but there was no sweet heat no fruit really nothing it was just roasted pork. Then I got to the last taco and I'm not sure if it was pork jerky or beef jerky All of which was dry. That seems to be a theme for the proteins that I've personally eaten there is that they were dry to the point that that drink machine would be necessary.
Not sure if management reads this but I would look into food quality cook times order speed and try to make some changes. For this area I'm going to stick with casa de los tacos in Secaucus.

Not sure what happened to this place. It used to be my go to spot for tacos but it’s been terrible the past few times. They’ve definitely changed cooks, the orders are always late and then to get food given out this way is unacceptable. Their chorizo tacos looked like a mess and bad flavor. Good place for tacos. The prices are okay, not great. It’s cheaper to get tacos on taco Tuesdays. I believe they have other specials going on throughout the week. The staff isn’t the most friendly or well mannered. There can be a wait here sometimes and sometimes it is long. You can smell the bathrooms from the fountain machine. The bathrooms are not clean and equipped with all needed materials either. Overall, food is good but the owner needs to improve on a few things.

Once in a while for who knows what reason I will succumb to my inner voice when I’m hungry to order pizza fast food… and I usually get reminded after the first bite why I shouldn’t, but I always seem to forget that the experience was subpar. I ordered the stuffed crust pizza half anchovy and half onion and I also ordered to Alfredo meat bowl as well. The best part and I use that term very liberally was the crust with the mozzarella the rest of the pizza was soggy bottomed and kinda unappetizing. The second course was the Alfredo bowl which I honestly could not eat . Papa John’s should discontinue the bowls al together.it was $40 bucks for the two. Barely any anchovies…I believe I saw 2-3 little dried anchovies. But the guy behind the counter was super cordial and was tolerant of our language barrier because speaking English can get very annoying to many.
