So, I swore not to visit this place after a disastrous experience in 2023 January. It was a day after new year, the place was crowded the service was slow and the food was awful. But I decided to give it another chance after a year. I guess I wasn't the only one who had a bad experience before as the restuarant was empty. We were their first customers and we arrived at 8. There were only two other group of customers over the course of the night.
But it's safe to say they've improved a lot from last year. Food was good and service was great. Sad to see a good restuarant struggle for customers.

Anantashram is truly known for its seafood and biryani. We had pre-ordered their Matka Dum Chicken Biryani for 6 people, and it was absolutely amazing – served with raita and packed with flavor. We specially traveled from Margao just to pick up this order, and it was well worth it!
The order was taken instantly over the phone without any prepayment, and it was ready right on time – not a minute of waiting. I also decided to add some veg dishes last minute, and the team quickly prepared them while I enjoyed a chilled beer at the restaurant.
The Matka Biryani quantity was so generous that it easily served 10 people, and we relished every bite. The chicken was perfectly cooked, and the Paneer Makhni was delicious too. They do take a refundable deposit of ₹250 for the matka, which is reasonable. We stopped on way towards our Goa hotel at nearest Petrol station from Goa Airport and we enquired the staff about an authentic Goan Fish Thali dhaba style restaurant. Almost instantly.... 2 staff members and a driver standing nearby recomended "Sheela Bar & Restaurant" and what a gem of find it was. Fresh seafood cooked with basic spices to authentic perfection. Reasonable prices, huge portions and best of all.... Chilled Beer at rock bottom prices. Friendly service with charming smile was an added bonus.
This one's going to be our permanent halt while commuting to & from Goa Airport in future.... Highly Recomended

We ordered Pork Vindaloo, Vegetarian Xacuti, Chicken Cafreal, Prawn Pulav, Goan Bread and Fish Fingers for Kids (as these are non spicy)
Pork Vindaloo was nice and tangy. Other things are quite decent too. But none of them is a wow!!. None of them makes you wanting to come back to Sheela. We particularly didn't like the prawn pulav because there were hardly any prawns in it.
Service was a big let down. Waiting time for rotis, rice was a lot. Worst is that the waiters are not trained, our fish finger plate costing 450, was taken away by waiter with half of fish still left in it, it was meant for kids who eat at thier own speed. A dish costing that much being taken away without even being asked for it totally not acceptable, basic training of courtesy and service has to be given. When we asked for replacement of fish taken away, the head waiter refused. Hence I'm rating the restaurant 1 star for service as they are just not trained

We ordered prawns which was actually stinking.

Dined at the Regency during a one-day stay at La Paz Beacon Hotel, and overall, had a decent experience. I loved the Malai Chicken and Mutton Rogan Josh that I had for lunch - absolutely spot on! The Corn Fritters were a bit too dough-y for my liking. The naan was ok - could have been crispier and with some butter, since I ordered butter naan.
For dinner, I got ordered service - the Club Sandwich was nice. The Fish n Chips wasn't. The dish came with two large slices of kingfish - instead of Basa, which is what I was expecting and what usually is served as Fish n Chips. Maybe the restaurant is better at Indian and Chinese food, not Continental Cuisine, and perhaps it was my mistake for ordering it.
I'd have like to try the Chinese food but didn't have time.

So a friend of mine randomly remembered this place where he had eaten this AMAZING paratha in 2008. Didn't remember anything but the taste of the paratha from back then. We googled the best paratha in Vasco, and this was one of the first places. We saw the photos and narrowed them down because this looked the best.
When my friend had the first bite, he knew this was the place we were looking for! Such is the taste of this place that everyone remembered it after 15-odd years!
The place is generally open very late, till 11 o'clock. There are two sittings, one non-ac on the ground floor and AC on the first floor.
They have takeaways as well, which probably comprise most of their orders. This can mean the service is slow, but that's not the case here. The staff is active, and the small kitchen on the first floor makes getting smaller things out quickly possible. But but, we've seen the waiter get lost and forget which table ordered the fried rice. So that was a meh.
We ordered the classic Aloo Paratha, which they serve hot with curd. We also ordered Matar Paneer because it was too late to eat curd. The paratha was stuffed and was more than enough for one person's meal. The matar paneer tasted really good as well.
Not sure if the AC/non-AC sitting has different prices, but the price was really affordable for the taste and the service in the AC section as well.
Overall, it was a great experience, mainly because of the story my friend had with the place. But kudos to the restaurant for not disappointing!
Would definitely recommend it for lunch/dinner if you like parathas.

Actually I went here for dinner observing good ratings in Google. But, very surprisingly the experience was pathetic.
The food tastes very poor. The quantity is acceptable but not the quality. It was very rich with not properly cooked powder spices which will be a torture for your taste buds as well as digestive system.
It's an absolutely veg dining restaurant. Seating capacity is very good and the place is well crowded during eating hours. The service was fast. Price of the food was also pocket friendly. As usually the location is also very good but without proper parking place.
This time Google reviews and ratings fooled me. As per my recommendation, this place may be avoided as far better multiple options for veg restaurants available nearby.

If the company has a policy of giving ‘Worst Employee of the Company Award’ then Mr Mahesh who is the manager of the store would take it everytime. He can manage to not deliver your pizza three times in a row. Rude, Unprofessional , Not Polite, Carry’s a I don’t care attitude with pride. His staff comes to deliver the pizza at your door step after 1hr 30mins and then tell the customer that the pizza is cold I know your address now so will get you a hot one in 30mins. The other one has the attitude to say that you should have ordered from other store instead of Vasco store so please cancel your order from customers end. The 3rd one delivered the pizza on the app right at 28th min being 4km away from the actual location. The fear of ordering from this place as build up. If you are ordering from here make sure you have enough food and water with you for the waiting period trust me you will need it because
A. The pizza is not reaching you before 1hr 30mins
B. You will spend 30mins giving directions to the delivery person (please note he new here and has joined work just the same day so he has no clue of what Google Map is).
C. You will see the delivery person taking a U-Turn at your location to get you fresh hot pizza.

We hv visited both in the mornings n evenings and its awesome always. Generally shacks on beach give u a scenic view but not so great food. We went to check this place out on the suggestion of a friend. It was a hot day and we were served really good food.
The place deals in mostly Goan food. We tried their chicken thali as well as the fish thali. I found the chicken items to be very spicy but otherwise all other items were good. As far as the fish thali goes the fish was fresh and all the items in the thali were great.
We also tried their masala fresh lime soda which was very refreshing as it was a very hot day. The parking available is not much so you might have to park nearby and walk a little to this place. Prices are not high.
