Only ever heard good things about this place but had never actually tried it. It turns out its first weekend under new management and we were blown over by the quality of the food. The place provided high chair and they had changing facilities in the bathroom (you may think it’s a standard but it’s not everywhere) The owner/new manager was there ensuring everything went smoothly and they were very accommodating in providing foods that were actually not in the menu (but my toddler is a fussy eater). We ordered beef roast and it was a superb quality meat, and lemon sole. It was a whole fish made as the French make it, with butter and some capers. Divine! We also had a side of cauliflower cheese which was also very tasty. The menu is not very extensive which is absolutely fine, again it’s good to have just a few choices on the list but absolutely smash them. Having said that, going forward it would be nice if they rotate the menu or have some different specials each week so we get to try other things next time.
