Saw some advertising about some specials and new management so thought why not give it a try. We went on the Wednesday night which is now a new special grill night with some cheap options, $20 sirloin steak, $15 rump steak and $15 chicken breast. I ordered the sirloin and the choices of sauce was mushroom or pepper and so I asked to pay extra and have both which was not a problem and I must say both were obviously made in house and were both delicious. The steak was perfectly cooked and the chips were crunchy and tasty. The small side salad was fresh and crispy and was enough as it was all quite filling and very good value for $20. Husband had the same with mushroom gravy which he said had some noticeable garlic in it and he was impressed with the flavour and as he is the 'gravy guru' that is a huge compliment. The son had the rump and although slightly overcooked was still very tender and tasty. It was obvious the meat is of high quality. Still short on staff as is most of the restaurants in Kalbarri, so drinks were slow to come but apologies were made without us saying anything. Very nice new management eager to please. If you don't like your dinner on a cutting board they will even put it on a plate for you if you ask. So if you haven't been for a while or had some bad experience in the last 12 months, I highly recommend that you give them another go, we're glad we did.

The waffles were half cooked and tasted like egg. The staff lacked enthusiasm and were unproffessional. And the place was pretty run down. The icecream selection was bare (about 7 flavours with no labels) and it looked dirty in the cooler- there was chunks of icecream on the bottom of the cooler. We ordered a waffle bowl to share and it took 15 minutes to come out when there was no one else in the shop.
