We flew into Hobart in the afternoon and this was a brilliant way to spend our first evening in Tasmania. 毎週土曜日に開催される朝市です。 ピザカッターやペッパーミル等実用性のある木工細工や革製品、いろいろお土産に最適な物が売っています。

サマランカマーケット合わせで金曜日に ホバートに到着しましたが、正解。 ホバートを訪れるなら、このマーケットに 行かない理由がありません。 端から端まで楽しみました。

土曜日なのでマーケットが開催されてる..という事で港に。確かにかなりの数の露店、そしてお客さんの数、まさに有るくのがたいへん。掘出し物はなさそうですが、大道芸人あり、雰囲気ありで、楽しめました。

ホバート訪問の際は行くべき。とにかく両側にテントが並び、コーヒー、ソーセージ、はちみつ、チョコレート、ラベンダー製品、木工、布製品等々特産品が一堂に集まります。本格的な商売の方もいれば芸術家のような方も。お土産を買うのも一度で済みますよ。

特にこれといった名物が売られているようではありませんでしたが、何となく見ていて雰囲気を楽しめるものでしょう。 ジン、ストーンアクセサリー、絵画、アンティーク？雑貨、軽食の出店が見られました。

昔（10年くらい前）より観光者向けに偏ってきた感があり、ホバート滞在を土曜日に合わせて旅程を組んだ者としては肩すかしを食らった気分です。食べ物はまぁまぁ美味しいですが、シドニーでも食べられそうです。

It wasn't very busy when I got there so there was no waiting to be seated. The place looked cleaned and neat and the staff were friendly enough. I decided I try the Beef Noodle Soup (the advertising worked as that was the main picture...plus it was cold outside and the dish looked warm and inviting). I did have my heart on a their egg custard dumplings but was informed that they didn't have any so I settled for a couple of pork minced dumplings instead. If you plan to go during busier times I'd advise booking ahead as there's only so much seating so you could be standing outside for a table to free up.

It was a Monday evening whilst in Hobart on holiday and apparently, there were not many choices on Mondays near the pier, so we popped in here for a quick drink as it was conveniently located next to the serviced apartment we were staying in. Tap beers were kind of standard ones, but the food menu seemed to be more of our liking compared to other pubs and restaurants open that time, so we decided to stay put and ordered dinner there (we moved from the pub area to the table area). The taste was okay for me but to be honest I liked Emu beer more which I got to taste while I was in Perth.
