Personally I had a great stay the room was good the staff and the food in the bar was great as usual.
But I don't understand people when they book such places next to a motorway you expect noise especially in those temperatures but still people expect more.
I would like to commend Emma on reception how professionally she dealt with people and those complaints about noise and temperature there is only so much the poor lass can do. from entering reception she made you feel welcome a big asset to the hotel . Yes the bathrooms are dated but for the money the place is good and I will be back.

I came in with friends and iv never been before.. was welcomed by a warm atmosphere.. and by a waiter named Sarah.. very polite and well mannered.. looked after us all. The food was amazing I would highly recommend to friends and family or anyone after some really good food and welcoming atmosphere.. i will be coming again for definite. Went to The Mount for a meal and a catch up with friends, such a lovely pub. The service, food and staff was amazing. The staff made us feel welcome, was really helpful and friendly. Stayed here for 2 nights with Mum.
Hotel is an old Premier inn I belive or suspect as the furniture looks like the very old furnishings.
I think I can say it is in quite bad disrepair.
The bathroom was covered in black mould, rust and limescale to a degree that it couldnt just be surface cleaned.
The chipboard was rotten.
There was evident of a leaking roof in the room.
Never seen a member of staff other than housekeeper on the Saturday who was lovely.
On a very large embankment behind the pub. The hotel is across 3 floors with no lift. The pub is much higher than the hotel very steep steps up the back of pub for breakfast.
As my mum has mobility issues it was a bit of a nightmare, had to drop at front of pub for breakfast, and drive back.
We arrived very late and was advised by staff that couldnt take my care down the small round to hotel. Walked down with case in the pitch black (poorly lit road) and very uneven road however you can actually drive down there.
There was young people loitering withing the grounds, bunch of young people around enterance on the Saturday gling in and out of foyer - these were not staying in the hotel.
There appeared to be people experiencing homelessness there also. Local council often do this when awaiting a more stable living accomodation. There was also people in the bushes surrounding (but on the grounds) smoking cannabis.
I would not stay again
I would not recommend it to anyone in general
I did try to speak to someone however there was only a night porter and when I checked out no member of staff around at all.
I was told there was not another room at all available in hotal
The only saving grace was the house keeper was very helpful and polite. She got us extra pillows and was lovely.
It was a nice warm room also.

We booked a table for 26, hosted a 4 year old birthday party, had food and let all the kids on the play area, I'd just like to say a huge thank you to all the team here. I don't even know how I'm supposed to review this place, stopped in the Premier inn next door ridiculous amounts of times for work and never had a problem. Eaten in the restaurant in the past always just average for the price, but what do you expect from a brewers fayre, you pay for what you get. But, just but they have clearly changed the menu and decided to remove the chefs from the kitchen ( not proper chefs we know but hey ho) and replaced them by, I don't even know what but I wouldn't even call them microwave pushers because what I've just had I can't call food, I can't call it food because there is not actually food there. The so called wings didn't even have meat on. It was just bone coated in sauce. The pizza well photos say it all. You can actually buy better pizzas from Iceland for less than £2 and stick it in the microwave for 4 mins and this whole meal cost me just shy of £20. WOW JUST WOW

Had such a poor experience at this place. It was very noisy and the restaurant seemed more of a playground than the play area. Had to wait 40 minutes. When we asked about food it came like it had been sitting waiting to be brought out. The food was really poor quality. I asked for a salad with my burger what I got was a small amount of lettuce roughly chopped with half a tomato and 5 slices of cucumber. Staff very helpful and friendly but they need training on current offers, pricing etc for meal deals so that they are consistent. Meal deal options should be to the max value allowed, regardless of internal policies, otherwise the companies paying are not getting full value for money as intended for their employees. Every member of staff excelled , a lovely warm welcome and fantastic service from all of them . I chose the mega breakfast , which was exceptional value . Absolutely fantastic. The best breakfast I have ever had even though it was after the cut off for breakfast service by 30 minutes, I called in advace and the Little Kitchen were more than willing to oblige my sons and I.
The bacon was thick cut and perfectly cooked, the sausages were out of this world (all of the meat being from a butcher in Belper I was told), and the fried eggs were cooked to perfection, whites fully cooked, the yolk nice and runny.

Popped in here today after a lovely walk nearby. Glad we did, our first visit here and it didn't disappoint. Friendly helpful staff, dog friendly, coffee was hot and tasty. I left a negative review here 3 years ago and never returned, however a couple of weeks ago I revisited and now that negative is definitely a positive, (deleted the old) very steady service, great service with a smile is how it should be.
The place looks more alive however the decor on the lower end near the stairs always will feel cluttered maybe it’s the combination of tables and an a decor reminding me on a time capsule from the 60s, however it’s much brighter inside that what I remember.

I thought it was very good for the price compared to a lot of garden centres. The savouries were good and the cakes were great. The Americano was good too.

Waited over 20 minutes for soup and toasties which were almost cold on arrival. We were told they ran out of soup so had to open and heat up some more. The soup on menu included croutons, bread and bitter and veggie crisps, none present, when I asked waitress she said well yours is with a sandwich! It was £4.50 extra for the soup. The toasties were cold so not very pleasant, presumably due to the delay in warming the 'homemade' soup.

I was angry and unfortunately I swore within my conversation, which I regret and am sorry for.

Lovely cafe situated on the top floor of Wigan indoor mall. Gets very busy which is testament of the really polite quick efficient service they deliver. I ordered a BLT it’s been a while and it came with extras on side which was unexpected and the price was very reasonable indeed. I ordered a hot drink which is apt at this time of morning for a good decent pick me up for the day ahead.
They also do great take away meal deals which includes a banquette, hot drink and a choice of a little extra.

Placed an order on just eat, an hour and a half later the food still hadn't arrived and it said on the app the courier was waiting at the restaurant. My husband phoned to get an update as they shut at 2pm. They tried to say we had had the order, and then they said the food was still there. They said the food had been sat there for 1 hour and they didn't have a driver, so they asked my husband to go and collect the cold and soggy food. My husband couldn't collect as he couldn't leave me, as im disabled. So my husband said he would like a refund and the person point blank refused to give us our money back.
They guy claimed he had no driver for deliveries, so my husband then asked "why are you taking orders for deliveries then?" And the guy wouldn't answer the question. My husband also asked "if there was an issue with the order or the delivery, then why didn't you contact us instead of just leaving it?" Again the guy would not answer his question.
We have been loyal customers to this cafe and never had any issues or any reasons to complain, so for me to do this shows how horrible the service was. We will not be returning to the cafe and neither will some close family and friends, who also frequent the cafe, as they have also said it was disgusting behaviour.

The food took ages to arrive, the chips were very nice and the sandwich I had was nice, though barely any goat’s cheese in it. My first ever visit to the cafe. Had the good for you breakfast. What a disaster it was... all the surface water on the mushroom was left on the mushroom so my plate filled with boiling hot water. I have been to Asda cafe recently and I couldn’t eat the meal I ordered - it wasn’t good. But today I have come to the Tesco cafe in Wigan and I ordered fries (or chips) and a crispy chicken burger. Cracking little cafe, had the big breakfast and was not disappointed, food hit and well cooked, nice decent sized coffee and sat at a table overlooking the small river/canal to the side.
