From the moment we arrived at the hotel the staff couldn't do enough for us. From the door porter to the all the reception crew, the way we were treated we honestly felt like we were the most important people in the hotel and we were even given a free upgrade to an executive room which was lovely. After giving us an extremely early check in (around 10:30 am) we were taken to our room by one of the porters who insisted on taking our bags for us which was nice. The room was absolutely luxurious, extremely spacious with a huge bed. The huge bathroom was also immaculate. The hotel itself is so luxurious, from the reception area to the bar/restaurant and the amazing Palm Court tea room. Unfortunately we didn't have time to experience the Palm Court as we had other plans but will definitely use it when we return. We used the Bar Prince on a couple of occasions and once again all the staff we encountered were so professional, friendly, polite and immaculately turned out. Over the years years me and my wife have stopped at some lovely hotels around the world but we can honestly say that our experience at the Balmoral was the best we've ever had. We we're so sad when we had to check out but we will definitely be returning to this wonderful hotel in the beautiful city. Beautifully piped and decorated, delicious and very fresh cake. Went down a treat with all our guests. Great value for money (definitely serves 30, and although the slices are very thin theyre still enormous and could honestly be halved even further as the cake was 4 layers). The picture doesnt do justice of just how big this cake actually was!

As you can see from the picture the avocado looked off and the egg looks uncooked and was watery. The staff aswell weren’t very attentive and didn’t ask if the food was good. With getting this we found it quite expensive for what we got. It’s sad because it used to be our favourite spot.
