What's really nice is they have this little historical display and part of it tells the story of the duff; so yeah, a must read while waiting for your food. The cinnamon roll was very nice, but not above and beyond all other cinnamon rolls. The buns are really like mini-tacos and the shell is this soft, white, dough, very similar to what you'd get in a Chinese dim-sum bun. So it's a puffy, spongy thing that they curl and put the filling in. These were very tasty. I'd recommend getting at least one per person. They have different flavors, but were told the jerk chicken were best and they did not disappoint. We then dug into the duff. This was very tasty, again, seemingly made of the same white, puffy dough as the buns with chunks of guava in the bottom. But this isn't wrapped, this is a unit unto itself. They have different fillings, too, but the guava is the famous one. It is then generously covered in the sauce which is rich and sweet and makes the whole thing delicious. Reading some of the reviews before we went I was not sure what to expect. I’m happy to say they were no foundation to those reviews. We had one of our best holidays ever at Royal Bahamian. The room was fantastic, with turndown every evening. Refreshments in the room were regularly replenished as were the toiletries. The food was excellent and the service was always great. I have to give a special thanks to our butlers Johnny, Taya and Sanchez. They definitely went above and beyond during our stay. We celebrated my wife’s birthday and our wedding anniversary while on resort and they truly looked after us. We arrived 24 hours after a tropical storm had hit the island and so somethings weren’t quite as they should be, it would be wrong to say much more but considering everything, all the staff were working tirelessly to bring the resort back to tiptop condition. The aftermath of the storm meant that we couldn’t use the resort jetty to get to and from the offshore island. No worries. As always Sandals adapt and overcome. Once the island opened back up we visited 3 times and were absolutely blown away with it. The offshore island had a completely different feel/vibe to it. More like a European stylish beach club. The atmosphere, the music made it a delightful place to spend the day. The food at Aralia House offshore Grill was excellent. Again, special mention to all the staff at the restaurant including Jadine, Tasha, Susan and Shrine. Great people that made our time on the island that little bit special. They also charge ur card $800 when u check in which I didn’t see it state that anywhere on the website. So pretty much u pay what u pay when u book it online plus the extra $1000+ fees due at check in. They say you get it back but end up charging it all to ur card after u leave. Personally not worth it, u can stay at a hotel for cheaper you don’t need the restaurants and water park. I will give it a 6/10 if I had to rate it! I’d like to say again the staff is top tier every single one of them! We only had one bad experience with Frank and Lola’s staff two ladies and one gentleman were super rude. Very unlike everyone else at the resort.
