Blackbird Bakery created all of the baked goods for our dessert bar at our wedding - they helped us determine quantities, sizes of platters we would need to rent, and were able to deliver to the venue. I have celiac disease and Heidi, the owner, was very clear that they are not a dedicated gluten free facility. She talked me through their cross-contamination prevention protocols, they have dedicated prep space, kitchen utensils, mixing bowls, etc. I appreciated the thoughtful warning, and as I have eaten there many, many times without getting sick, I felt safe ordering for our wedding. We were able to have a delicious selection of pies, their famous Italian cream cake, cookies, and cupcakes - including some non-gluten free vegan cupcakes for our vegan guests. We were able to go in for a "tasting" of sorts and look through their wedding book of previous events - where we had some cookies and a mezzaluna so I could taste their GF pie crust. If you have a chance, I highly recommend ordering an Italian cream cake or GF pie custom - it will blow your mind! Thank you again Heidi and the Blackbird Team!

Great food overall and nice atmosphere, scones are nice and savory, the cheesecake really surprised me as being a really good mix of not to sweet and also very filling, I personally found the cinnamon roll too sweet but my partner liked it. This bakery is so cozy, but they are a machine in the best way. Being right next to the ferry, you can tell they train their staff for busy days, even on weekdays. I went on a Thursday for my birthday and the line was out the door, and yet I was helped in 5 minutes. I was so impressed and the staff still had individual reactions with everyone. Remember all of our specifications for our coffees too, even among all the bustle of the crowd. The pastries were absolutely delicious and the coffee was great. We left with an adorable tumbler too!

I would not recommend this for the drinks or food.
I ordered to-go except the cinnamon roll, my coffee came in a mug. My coffee wasn’t hot. I orders a white chocolate mocha. So I sat outside to drink it. It tasted funny, or off, and when I got to the bottom I saw why - the chocolate hadn’t been mixed or melted.
The cinnamon roll was cream cheese frosting, which I hate so I don’t care for it. But it also had RAISINS in it. Ugh! That should’ve been said somewhere in the description of them.
Overall, this was very overpriced, the coffee wasn’t hot a big let down. If it weren’t so busy I would’ve given it back and got a refund or asked for the coffee to be re-made. Honestly it was gross.
And I REALLY wanted to like it because I’d heard good things about this place. I would skip and go elsewhere if I return.

This was the best coffee I’ve had thus far in my time in Seattle. The space was very packed when we arrived. We managed to find seats on the inside, but there are also seats on the patio too. We didn’t get any of the baked goods though they looked good! If you are a coffee person and interested in going to Bainbridge, I’d definitely make this a stop for a visit to the Seattle area.

We ordered a 16 oz latte for here. I watched the shot run over and how the milk boiled in the steamer. 😶 so it tasted like .. boiled milk. We kindly asked them to redo it.

Pleasantly surprised by the food quality at this cafe. I'm not one to even go to cafes for lunch but the woman who owns the shop next door recommended it, and specifically the French fries, so my friend and I decided to try it out.

My husband and I love really excellent coffee and it's HERE (unfortunately he's turned me into a coffee snob after he worked as a barista)! We wandered in here after a disappointing venture into a different shop for coffee. The breakfast food is great and fairly priced for the area, they serve Stamp Act Coffee who we'd never heard of but after inspecting the beans they had for sale we were really excited for our coffees! They also have housemade syrups and a friendly but curated shop vibe. We arrived on Bainbridge around Noon on a midsummer Saturday to find the town overflowing with tourists like us. We were hungry and low on Caffeine but all the places on Winslow Way had lines out the door. Luckily, just a block down the hill we found this gem with ample room. We "rolled" here in to Carly's on our rented E-Bikes to get some juice of our own. It's a wonderful spot on the corner located within the nursery really. You can sit amongst the vines sipping that latte if ya choose to hang around. There's a nice little back patio just off the street that has 3 small tables, to rest those weary legs. A couple more tables nearby on the grass within the nursery as well. We enjoyed the Americano's, but I must say, we were a tad disappointed with the pre-made vendor breakfast sandwiches. This quietly tucked away shop on Winslow is a perfect place to indulge yourself. The choices are plenty. No matter what you get it's tasty up here. I was fascinated by the waterfall wall of chocolate. Based on the store owner's recommendation, I did pick a desert wine - Black Heron Syrah dessert wine. It was full bodied with bursting taste of berries. Its perfect with ice cream or cheesecake.

Food was really tasty. This place nails the bacon - crispy and hot off the griddle. The French toast and the Potatoes Deluxe were our favorite things on the menu. WOW! I try to eat organic, GF and dairy free if possible. I can’t believe how good this very nutritious, clean meal was- AT A GAS STATION! I asked if they could make the pulled pork sandwich a lettuce wrap and they offered to make it a salad on arugula. We were visiting Bainbridge Island for the day and, after having a late dinner, realized that Town and Centre Grocery was one of the few places that still opened.
The store was beautifully laid out with spacious aisles and well-stocked and well-organized shelves. I got the sense that the store was clean and have excellent staff taking care of it.

Here for a two night sisters weekend getaway and had a mostly fantastic stay! We stayed in Room 6 which was gorgeous and comfortable with a great view from the balcony over the bay. Staff were super responsive and friendly with any questions we had, including a problem with our electronic lock not working (they had a back up key). Everything was very clean and well maintained in the room and bathroom. Enjoyed the shower and the deep soaking tub, though remember to bring your own bath salts. Super thoughtful touches like a USB hub on one side of the bed and a water filtration system for refilling our water bottles at one of the sinks. The fireplace worked great and the chairs in front of it were cozy to sit in and read, though a bit dark. The room itself was very quiet and the bed comfy, though the mattress definitely had divots from long use.
The only downsides were noise out of the control of the Inn. 8:45 pm Saturday night some awful live music somewhere nearby kicked in and kept at it until 10 pm. Not a problem if you’re not trying to relax quietly in the room at that time. There was also a deep thrum that never let up but was really only noticeable when trying to fall asleep, like a deep electrical generator noise somewhere nearby.
Otherwise, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the comfortable and lovely room, perfect for us to hang out in after a day shopping or exploring island. The frozen yogurt place at the bottom of the steps was delightful, we went both afternoons we were there. We tried the breakfast place at the Marketplace our second morning and while it was limited, it was tasty and convenient. Easy short drive to downtown Bainbridge for lots of other options, or up to Via Rosa for lunch and dinner. If returned, maybe a spot further back in the complex in one of the Garden rooms to see if that would reduce the noise of being on the Main Street? Loved the close access to the beach and easy parking!

The room and garden were lovely, but I was upgraded to a far more expensive room than I booked without giving approval. I emailed them once I realized why my charge was so much more than I expected, and then called a couple days later and left a message for the manager. No response. Information on this place is a bit astroturfed. Yes there is a pool and a gym but they're a part of the overall apartment complex. Yes there is a cafe but it's a part of the street vendors. Yes you can see the water but you have to walk down the streets through the shops to get to it. Little things are off like no way to access soap for the soaking tub since it's secured to the shower. Truly a "5-Star" Inn! We stayed here for Valentines weekend and we could not have been more impressed! The pictures on their site do not do these beautiful rooms justice. We stayed in the "Garden Building" in a king suite that opened right out to the garden with a soothing waterfall fountain outside of our patio. Every detail of this place was so thoughtfully executed from the colors to the furniture and bed and bedding. It was SO cozy with the gas fireplace and we really did feel so comfortable during our stay. It is located right off of a cute little cove of the ocean and some of the rooms have water views. This was by far our most favorite place we have ever stayed and we will 100% be back again!! It is about 10 minutes outside of Winslow but really doesn't feel like a drive at all.

Our first time to the island and we stayed here. The rooms were amazing - very clean, very tastefully furnished, almost felt like home away from home. The only knock was the TV channel selection was very limited but might have been an issue with cable carrier. Anyway who cares, we went out to eat and came back and just hung out. I have had storyville coffee at the Pike Place location before and enjoyed it, but this location really didn't hit the spot for me. I tasted both of the housemade alternative milks, date-sweetened almond and coconut-hemp, and both were really bad. The almond would have been fine without the date, but it really ruined the taste of the coffee. Storyville from Seattle is an artisan coffee company that I highly recommend. On their website they bill themselves as America’s # roaster and their mission of ending human trafficking and to Love Everybody is one I can definitely support. When I made my order it was promptly packed and shipped off. I like the style of their packaging, especially the fact that my beans were literally roasted just 2 days before I ordered them. Upon grinding them and brewing my coffee I was treated to an aroma that was notably more pleasing than the competition. Their customer service is also top notch.
