Didn’t enjoy the cafe as the vibes was very unfriendly and unwelcoming by this older waitress. Looked like she’s not happy working there ! A younger waitress later refilled our glasses of water was nice . Definately not recommending this place to others and won’t go back again !! Last time I went to Castlemaine we had lunch at the Mill at the German restaurant . They were so friendly and welcoming . Later today we went and had afternoon tea there and the owner is so friendly ! Wish we had lunch there rather then this cafe !! Ruined our day trip to Castlemaine with this bad experience ! FYI we have so much better cafes and amazing food in Melbourne ! This cafes food was average compared to Melbourne !! Addition : Just saw a review by a Asian customer complaining about racism towards her by this restaurant . I also felt the waitress was racist . The owner states he’s South American and Iam shocked that this is allowed in his restaurant ! My husband is Latin American and my daughter who was with me is half Latino !! Iam Indian and hence my daughter looks more Indian then Latino !( My husband wasn’t with us on the day ) I am awaiting a response from the manager .
