We wanted to have some nice indian food while we spent our time in Nerja. We ended up going to this restaurant 2 nights in a row. When we ordered our drinks, they arrived accompanying a complementary starter dish, which was some kind of crispy condiment with different kinds of sauces. The sauces were very flavorful.
There was a wide variety of dishes on the menu, so we decided on having different dishes on each day. Both meals we had were delicious.
Also I would like to point out that the service was quick, even though there were only two people serving the terrace. Nothing but respect for the work they put in, serving the many people that visit this restaurant every day.
When we asked for the bill, we received a shot of liqour on the house of our choice.
Definitely visit this restaurant if you like Indian food and like to be served with outstanding hospitality. I recommend their chicken vindaloo if you like your food spicy!

After being tossed around by the Mediterranean like a sock in a washing machine, we stumbled into Tapas Plaza, half-drowned, salty, and in desperate need of sustenance. What followed was less of a meal and more of a religious experience—one that left our taste buds screaming hallelujah and our mouths questioning all life choices.
First up: the Nasi Goreng. Oh, sweet, spicy, wok-kissed perfection. This wasn’t just fried rice—this was the culinary equivalent of being hugged by a Thai grandmother who also knows kung fu. Every bite was a flavour explosion, and before we knew it, we’d inhaled the lot like two starved seagulls. Naturally, we then ordered the Bami Goreng, because why stop at one life-changing noodle dish when you can have two?
Then came the Chilli Prawns—or as I like to call them, "Satan’s Popcorn." These little demons were so spicy, I’m pretty sure I saw through time. My partner took one bite, turned the colour of a ripe tomato, and whispered, "I think I’m dying." But here’s the thing—they were so good, we kept eating them, like absolute masochists. Tears streamed down our faces. Our lips swelled to Angelina Jolie proportions. Worth it.
And just when we thought Tapas Plaza couldn’t outdo itself, the Chicken Satay Skewers arrived, dressed in a peanut sauce so luxurious it probably pays rent in Mayfair. The crispy onions on top? Chef’s kiss. No, scratch that—chef’s standing ovation.
By the end, we were in a food coma so deep, we could’ve been mistaken for beached whales (fitting, given our earlier sea ordeal). The bill arrived, and honestly, I would’ve sold a kidney to keep eating here.
Final Verdict: If you leave Tapas Plaza without needing a lie-down and a vow to never eat again (until tomorrow), you’ve done it wrong. 10/10, would let the chilli prawns destroy me again.

This place came highly recommended on an FB group I joined, and it did not disappoint. Firstly I'd recommend booking. We were lucky and the friendly helpful staff found us a table even without a booking, but it was obviously a very popular restaurant.
We had a drink at the bar while our table was prepared, a dark rum and coke and a Bacardi and coke. These were probably the largest measures we were served during our stay in Nerja. We were off to a good start.
We started with poppadoms and the pickle tray. The poppadoms were warm, fresh, and crispy, and the accompaniments were excellent. The mango chutney and lime pickle were outstanding.
We did not order starters, just main courses. A Chicken Shashlik, a Chicken Rogan Josh, Pillau Rice, and a plain Naan.
Rogan Josh is my mum's first choice when ordering curries, and she said this was up with the best she'd had. My Shashlick came on a sizzling platter. Large pieces of chicken, charred onion, and red & green peppers. The chicken was juicy and very tasty, although I did nick a bit of my mum's Rogan Josh sauce as I do like some sauce with my Shashlik.
The Naan was perfect with scorched blisters showing it has been traditionally cooked. The pillau rice was also spot on.
The service throughout the meal was brilliant. The waiter and waitress were friendly and knowledgeable about the menu, and our evening was rounded off nicely with a complimentary liqueur.
I would definitely recommend a visit to Taste of India.

What a disappointment! We are not sure what the standard is of people who give this restaurant good reviews. It is an Indian snackbar quality at best. The butter chicken was red and way to sweet. We were lucky to get a table without a reservation, as the restaurant is quite popular. The food was absolutely amazing — we tried the Chicken Methi, Paneer, and Paratha, and everything was bursting with flavor. You could really taste that the dishes were freshly prepared using quality ingredients.

Wow, where do I start? That good I went twice in the week I was there!
I’m a big eater and a massive foodie so I’ve been around and ate ALOT of good and bad food. Japanese being my favourite type of food so standards are always high, Jesus this place delivers! Absolute 10/10. I ate ALOT over my 2 visits and not a crumb was left. This was up there with the BEST Japanese food I have ever had in my life. Every dish was Orgasmic.
My only critique was that we ordered multiple starters and mains but they didn’t all come out together and I like to wait till I receive all my food so this led to one dish being a bit cold but they did offer to reheat apart from that this was a near perfect restaurant.
I hope this review will attract more customers as this restaurant deserves more recognition and it’s honestly criminal that fact it isn’t busier, it should be SO much busier considering the extremely mid level restaurants in the same area that were rammed! GO HERE!

Very bad service - I arrived with my partner around 9:00pm and asked if they have any availability. They said yes, if we wait for a bit, and they sat us by a table. We were waiting for the menu for at least 10 mins and then when we got it and were ready to order we were informed that no sushi is available anymore (no rice). We recently stayed in Nerja January 2025 and spotted this little curry house a couple of hundred yards up the road from the hotel Riu Monica and decided to stop for lunch and were not disappointed. The restaurant was very clean and comfortable and the staff were exceptionally polite and friendly. After being desperate to eat Indian food we landed up here expecting authentic Indian cuisine. However the taste is not at all Indian here. Unfortunately, due to the rain, our outdoor reservation at Som Som — the best Thai restaurant in Nerja — was cancelled. We then tried to book a table at Yuu Talay Thai in Burriana, another superb Thai spot, but it was fully booked (no surprise given their consistently excellent food and service).
We decided instead to try Restaurante LanSang, It was surprising to see so many empty tables throughout the evening — and after dining there, we quickly understood why. The food was very average at best; my pad mee laeng noodles tasted like packet instant noodles, and the house wine was completely undrinkable.
When we mentioned the issue with the wine, the waitress was polite and offered to replace it with a more expensive bottle, which she did promptly. However, we were surprised to find the original, substandard wine still charged on our bill. When we queried this, the manager, “Dave,” appeared for the first time and rather unprofessionally laughed, claiming that someone at our table had “tasted and accepted” the wine — apparently while I was away from the table.
Overall, the experience was disappointing: average food, poor-quality wine, and unprofessional management. With so many great Thai options in Nerja, I would not recommend Restaurante LanSang.

Made reservations and promptly received a callback, where the staff was exceptionally helpful and friendly in assisting with the booking. Stumbled upon this restaurant while walking in Nerja. We are big fans of Thai food and couldn’t resist trying it. The place had a good vibe and nice decor. They have a great patio but the rain did not let us check it out. We definitely did not go wrong. The staff was incredibly nice and attentive. But the food was even better. Just had dinner here after hearing good things about it. We ordered the chicken satay and tempura veg to start, this took a while to come out as did everyone else’s food around us. The tempura veg was full of grease, so much so I couldn’t eat more than 3 pieces. I could tell that the waitresses were under stress due to the busyness so I decided not to complain. The waitress took my almost full plate away and asked no questions, at not one point did anyone ask if the food was okay. We then waited a significant amount of time for the mains to arrive and from my seat I could see the kitchen; I had ordered coconut rice and watched the chef pour cold coconut milk from a tin into a bowl of rice. The waitress proceeded to bring over the rice with our mains. I tried it and it was inedible, rice swimming in cold milk - not how I have ever had coconut rice before. I asked if I could please swap for the jasmine rice which she said was fine and came back promptly. Our mains were absolutely fine in terms of taste but by no means 5* Thai food. When we asked for our bill the coconut rice was still on it, I queried this with the waitress who told me that because I had tried it I had to pay for it but obviously I couldn’t have known it would be inedible without trying it. Amazing Japanese restaurant in Nerja. We actually came here twice because we had such a lovely experience the first time. We got the Tuna to start and then two of the Beef Gyu-Don for mains, all of which were incredible! Honestly one of the best Asian dishes I've had.
