I will not be returning here, although the food was good, service is a huge turn off. They hardly check on you to fill your drinks, they hardly speak any english, and the best part? They charge you $5.00 if you don't finish your food. I'm a student, and a picky eater. They had covered my sushi in sauce, so much so that I could barely taste the sushi, so I didn't eat it all. The food was also awful. First round of sushi we had actually had rotten, smelly fish. When we asked to return it, they tried to tell us it was fresh until I told her to smell it. Half of the items on the menu, you cannot order since they are only available for dinner (why not have a separate dinner menu?), leaving basic, boring rolls for lunch. When we got our order, all the rolls were over covered in spicy mayo, probably to hide the fact the rolls were boring and had hardly anything but cucumber in them. The presentation was boring and basic, they were laid on a plate and sauce covered it all. The portions of things like teriyaki chicken and unagi fried rice were huge. Way to big for a one person portion, which makes me think they fill you up on cheap fried rice, which hardly had any eel in it. The chicken had lots of fat on it, and was nasty. Even the basic miso soup was watered down to a tasteless liquid. it is almost like they are trying to make up for quality, with quantity, but who wants more gross food? Service was TERRIBLE. There was 9 staff that i counted and only 12 people in the restaurant, thats not even including the staff that could have been in the kitchen. Ive never seen an all you can eat sushi place so empty during the lunch hour, that should have been our first warning sign. Our waitress dropped off our food and never came back. There was a some weird guy in a white t-shirt ( looked like a dish boy) pacing back and forth who didnt take our empty dishes or notice our empty glasses. I think people like it here, only because they have never had good sushi in their life, or they cant travel to a decent restaurant. This place makes Ye's Sushi look amazing, and ye's sushi is not all that good. Heck, even my homemade sushi is way better than this restaurant NEVER AGAIN

The place was almost empty as it was a freezing day. Ordered sushi rolls & sashimi from the dinner menu, only to consistently see that they were either not available or substituted. It took a long time to get the food, yet the guys at the sushi bar were laughing/joking around. Everyone's english is poor. Lead server had rude demeanor as she told us we would have to "wait long time" for our last order. It never came. Two hours later we walked out without getting the final order of food. To top it off i got sick during the night and puked a couple of times. Thankfully the rest of my family was ok, and I ate most of the sashimi, so it must have been the cause for it. This experience was not worth 100 bucks. Save your money and go to YummyYaki. It is by far the best sushi place in the KW area. I will never go here again!
