We enjoyed the experience immensely. The ambiance and atmosphere of the restaurant was very relaxing with soft instrumental music and knives elegantly displayed. I could not feel the flavor or texture of Soba at all, just the sensation of eating noodles with a salty flavor. I guess they don’t know what soba noodles are :(( The entire dish was not unique and tasted like something you could make at home. And the portions were very small as well. The restaurant is stunning with very modern decorations and beautiful interior design. The hotpot portion had great broth flavors and good selection meats, with 6 choices and wagyu beef being one of them. Their takoyaki and aburi/torched sushi was amazing. Did not care for their Fuzzy Wuzzy roll nor Kyu Gaa roll as they were basic rolls you can get any where. Their Jellyfish Salad contained shark fin (see picture), and I was pleasantly surprised because not very many places serve shark fin. The service started off great; everyone was attentive and very fast. The restaurant started getting busy at around 8:30 PM and the service slowed down a little as a result (definitely not their fault, as they were understaffed). We had their desserts, kinako ice cream (vanilla ice cream with condensed milk drizzle, frosted flakes and soy powder), matcha ice cream and their chef's special (matcha tiramisu); all of which were small portioned but very good. My Sashimi plate was very good with about 12 pieces, which also included two marinade Sashimi options in a small bowl Con: Neither my soup or my wife's tea appeared with out asking for it again and again for a spoon. They have a different servers to deliver drinks and food, maybe the source of the missing items. Portion size is on the smaller side . The spicy tuna role was a little too spicy to taste the tuna. The miso soup was a little too much miso paste and hence too salty. The octopus and clam pieces were very small on the Sashimi plate. The ocean view through the forest, a lot of people commenting about, is very limited and I would not report that there is ocean view. Overall a very nice restaurant but in my opinion you can have a equally tasty and satisfying Japanese food experience for much much less than what you pay here. See my other reviews for some examples.

We had one of the combos, some Yam Tempura, a special roll, a salad, miso soup and the gyoza. The food was very good, especially the Yam Tempura and the Pan Fried Gyozas whoch were excellent. The sushi selection in the combo was good (though the plate did not have enough wasabi) while the special roll was interesting but a missed step in my opinion, great taste but way too much in terms of size (both of individual rolls and the dish overall), ended up making my gf feel way too full. Service was competent and polite but hit a small sang at the start, our drinks were very slow to arrive and we had to remind our waiter. Atmosphere is great in this are and the nice sunny day pulls a lot of the weight. That said the restaurant is bright, welcoming and clean. Though the table on the outside looked pretty cheap compared to the interior, understandable but a small knock in such a wealthy area nontheless. Overall price was fair at 34 per person for a lunch in a very upscale neighbourhood. And the food itself was abundant. A couple of mimor missteps but at the same time a very pleasant lunch. Might swing back if I'm in the area in the future
