Love this cute restaurant at a small town of San Luis Obispo. Love their outdoor patio. Dog friendly restaurant. Fusion food, dishes that we ordered all of them are good. Staffs are nice. We actually came back twice while visiting there. Price decent. We walked to the restaurant since it’s a distance walk from our hotel. We made rsvp the 2nd time. First time was walking in and lucky they had a table available. So they do take walk in. They can get pack though. It’s very cute town also. Can walk around after for digestions.

Visited midday on Sunday and ordered from a limited 3-5 pm menu. The food arrived quick and every one of the food items were very well prepared and the shrimp spring rolls were remarkably fresh. Similarly, the lavender and the elderflower cocktails were tasty, thought too heavy on the ice and unexpectedly, served in thick water glasses, which stole from the experience. An absolutely delightful place to have lunch. Outdoors..and amazing patio with giant oak tree spreading its branches over diners.
I ordered a BLT and the minute I bit in it, my tastebuds danced, for the tomato reminded me of my Mom's incredible tomatoes at our Wisconsin home.

We were looking for a place to eat in SLO that allowed dogs. Novo has a massive deck overlooking a creek. We sat at the edge of the restaurant right by a bridge and a footpath. Our host, Christopher was so knowledgeable with items on the menu and sensitive to my gluten allergies; double checking on items to make sure they were safe for me to enjoy. He came back to check on us multiple times as did other waiters to refill our water glasses. The Nada Colada mocktail was to die for. Be prepared to eat art as every dish had the appearance of a masterpiece, which I appreciate. I gave 4/5 stars on food as I do feel the flavors could be elevated on some dishes such as the cauliflower soup and coconut pie. We will be back and are delighted that our furr babies can join us out on the patio. Views of creekside made for a fine dining experience.

We ordered the highly praised Spanish seafood saffron rice. I have been in customer service since I was 12 and have worked as a waitress, at an elite and high end clothing store and a nurse for 42 years in total and feel I know a lot about what excellent customer service should be (and I rarely see it in the world today). The place was almost full, so got a high-seating table inside, which we really liked.
We ordered the Del Mar Paella right away before placing order for other items— freshly made Paella takes some time to cook.
We ordered their Tuna Ceviche and Gambas Al Ajillo (shrimp) per server’s recommendation. Both small plate items were absolutely delicious. Special mention for their homemade taco chips.
One of us tried their Paper Plane cocktail, and liked it.
Paella arrived just as we were finishing the small plates. We had opted for the saffron rice instead of squid ink rice. The Paella was one of the best we have tried out across many places. I reached out to them, and they seemed truly concerned to figure out what went wrong on that day, at that time, which I appreciate, hence the update. They encouraged me to give them another try. Absolutely amazing! Great little spot right by the Mission and near all the downtown shops. The outdoor seating is super cute but we sat inside because it was a bit chilly. Food was amazing, I loved all the street tacos. The goat cheese and toast was also a stand out. Drinks were great. My wife and I recently visited Taste Craft Eatery before a comedy show at the Fremont, and it was a delightful experience from start to finish.

It wasn’t busy when we went, we went on a Saturday night around 8pm. Seating was quick and service staff were friendly. Food was great and the portions were perfect. There's no kids menu and the only thing your kids can really purchase are a side of fries, a tiny side of mac & cheese that really has no flavor according to my daughter and myself or a plain burger now mind you all of those things to cost for just two items would be $17 for your child. Honestly, this is more of a PSA then a review - Old Slo is not just one of the most reliably tasty restaurants downtown it is also an EXCELLENT spot to host a party!
We were on the hunt to find a spot to host our group of about 80 for our Wedding Welcome party in downtown SLO and was met with some exorbitantly expensive quotes and honestly impressionable communication. So we had the idea to reach out to Old Slo and I'm so glad we did.
It had everything we were looking for - downtown location, fresh food, private area, easy beer/wine hosting, and no weirdly inflated prices (hello wedding tax). The back room of Old Slo can be rented out and can comfortably fit 60 people (we obviously spilled over to the outside and the front room, worked great). That room is also beautiful, the big windows looking onto the creek, couches and plenty of seating. The staff was excellent, they were incredibly gracious and staggered the catering trays so it was always warm.
The food was SO good. It worked out really well for our guests with dietary restrictions too! Even if you don't need to rent the space, I still absolutely recommend them for catering.
Kevin (Catering Manager) was the MVP. His communication was great and perfectly estimated the food quantities. He is also just a really nice person that was lovely to work with.

A friend and I were enjoying the Thursday Night Market when we happened upon Old Slo BBQ giving out free samples of tri tip, pulled pork & ribs. Trying the tri tip, I was pleasantly surprised about the flavor and the texture of the meat, which was quite tender. We ordered the crab cakes, oysters, and pork dumplings as starters and they were phenomenal. Our server Nicole was an absolute delight. Her and the rest of staff assisting her were so kind! She was so pleasant and knowledgeable and want to highlight her warmth!

We had reservations for 10/18/25 at 7:30 PM and arrived early, around 7:15. The hostess told us it would be just a couple of minutes and that she’d come get us when our table was ready. Ten minutes later, when we went back to check in at 7:26, the same hostess greeted us with a confused “How can I help you?” — which threw us off, considering we had just spoken moments before.
Once seated, it took a while before our server came by. We ordered drinks and fries while we waited — the fries were good, and the drink (a Perfect Margarita) was decent. We then ordered two steaks: one medium and one medium-well.
Over an hour later, we still hadn’t received our food. At that point, we decided to ask for the check and just leave. The waiter was understanding and comped our drinks and fries, which we appreciated, but the overall experience left a bad taste in our mouths.
It genuinely felt like there was some favoritism in who got served — as if locals or regulars took priority. We’re not from the area, and it definitely showed. We’ve had far better service at restaurants charging the same price for a steak.

We came here on a hot day because my daughter wanted lemonade and I wanted a healthy version, plus lunch. We found a great lemonade with only 3 ingredients, plus got a yummy lunch. First thing you do is you order and pay and get a buzzer, then you go find a table for you and your group. We arrived there around 12pm for 2 people and noticed a line forming, luckily it moved quickly. We ordered 2 of their specialty pizzas, the Carnitas and the Butter Chicken, both personal sizes. An institution for downtown pizza woodstocks has been here essentially my whole life. Their pizza is really solid, and their unique flavors like the siracha-cha are offerings worth going out of the way for sometimes. The sauce is savory and their topping ratios are on point, although they do have a fairly bready crust (great if you love to dip them like me). The dine in experience is very buzzy and has good drinks at good prices. That all being said, their prices have always been on the high end, and kind of never stopped going without adding value. They have a very limited rewards program, and about a year ago halved the size of their dip cups (50 cent charge) on takeout orders. These are less of an issue dining in, but it's made me turn to other pizza places like Palo Mesa and My Friend Mike's when I want a great pizza out of the big chain pizza bubble. Places like that also offer unique toppings, and do it for a little less cash than woodstocks. You won't go wrong with woodstocks pizza, but for the price there's better takeout options IMHO. For lunch, we got the beef and salmon burgers with the recommended signature pairing which were both delicious and nicely made. The salmon with the avocado and red onion was both refreshing and not overcooked. The beef was soft and tasty, with the cheese and bell pepper as a nice addition.

Usually, I never leave reviews, but after multiple visits, I felt I had to share my experience. My sister, who has special needs, loves milkshakes, so that’s usually what we come for. Unfortunately, every time I order one, the employee’s attitude instantly changes.
The girl who helped us today started off polite, but as soon as I ordered the first milkshake her demeanor completely shifted. When the milkshakes were ready, she placed them on the counter without whipped cream or lids. When I politely asked for whipped cream, she asked if we wanted it on both shakes which seemed unnecessary since it’s usually included. She didn’t offer to give us the milkshake lids so we chose to do it with the coffee lids one of them had little to no whipped cream so the lid worked, but the other milkshake spilled, that’s when I asked for the milkshake lids, she told me they didn’t have any and that they only carried the coffee ones, even though I could clearly see some right behind her. Only after that she turned around and gave us the lids.
There was no “thank you” or “goodbye” just an overall cold and uncomfortable experience. It’s disappointing that even when you treat staff with kindness and patience, they can’t offer basic courtesy in return. I hope management addresses this, because experiences like this make customers feel unwelcome for no reason.

This is my favorite Scout location. Plenty of parking in the plaza and the surrounding area. There are lots of good things in the surrounding plaza and across the street too. This location is very close to the campus and is almost always busy. There lots of space inside and out and the staff is very friendly and can handle the high volume. We got a cheddar and bacon scone , blueberry muffin, matcha Latte, woodlands latte. The cheddar scone was awesome and the muffin was good as well. Matcha was good but slightly milky in flavor. The Almond milk latte I got was their Homemade woodlands flavor. It was a mix of maple , citrus and Douglas Fir. Like as in the tree. I know it sounds crazy, but it was actually subtle and pleasant. I enjoyed the flavor all the way to the bottom of the cup. I also went there another day for a winter seasonal and got the maple and sea salt latte which was great as well. This is my most favorite location and will keep coming back for more.

Located in the same plaza as rite aid, near campus many students come here and visit to study with hipster vibes in the background.
Their drinks are amazing with cool latte art on it. Would recommend the honey lavender latte or if you’re feeling not coffee their honey tea bowl is also really good.

Went today and tried some stuff. Out of what we got, they had a great hot vanilla latte and hot chocolate. For real, the hot chocolate...get it. You won't regret it.
The pastry selection was amazing. Tons of selection and they can heat the pastry . I loved the morning bun. Perfectly flaky, a slight chew to the dough, and tossed in a cinnamon sugar mix. Not too sweet in my opinion. The savory chives scone was also really good, I was pleasantly surprised.
I would definitely go again. There are a ton of seats and the natural light from all the windows is beautiful. It gets really busy around 9am. So for those who want to work and chill, get there early. They open 6:30am-6:30pm.

This restaurant definitely surpassed all of our expectations! It was amazing! All the food was so fresh and flavorful and the owner/chef and his wife who sat us and served our meals were so sweet and welcoming. She took the time to explain the different dishes and asked what our preferences were - whether we liked sweet or savory, spicy or mild and depending on our answers gave us suggestions on what to order. Definitely recommend the Oasis sampler appetizer which was delicious. One of our favorite things was the lentil soup that was SO flavorful and wonderful! My husband got the whole fish which was the local rock fish and said it was amazing! A couple of us had the lamb kabobs that were so tender and flavorful. We were so full we couldn’t eat dessert BUT we took some home-made baklava and their home- made ice cream to go and ate it later! Those were absolutely fantastic!! You really need to eat here. What a delight to see a choice of local fresh caught whole fish- so I had rock cod- and was super stoaked to get a nice sized fish (head removed- but that's ok). This place had a young educated staff. I was visiting from out of town. I had a lot of questions in hopes I could get what I make at home. They had tumeric, almonds, kale, greens protien, carrots, & most of the berries I wanted & a banana. I think it was a freesyle for them. I did have to substitute my cherry juice with mango juice. It was a nice experience and the drink was great. The staff was fast and friendly & the place was very clean. They also had prepared salidscand other types of healthy on the go healthy meals.
