First time I have been here for a while as I do not live in the area, but we received a top class service from the moment we walked in, guided to our table and was tended to by four different very smartly dressed staff members during our 1-hour stay, all ensuring we were having a good experience. I came here with a group on a Wednesday evening. My first visit. They had a deal on for about £15. The food was absolutely fantastic! I tried lots of different dishes from my friends as well. I particularly loved their coconut rice, Korma, Chicken Pathia and samosas. Will be back! Superb.

Love the food and the new decor. Owner is great and very friendly. A new decor inside. Has been upgraded again. A sign of a well run business when they invest in the structure.
Food hasn't changed which was great. Chicken dhansak, fish special, bindhi bhaji and cheese with chilli naan.

I visited the restaurant early on a Monday evening with my wife. Despite the restaurant being quiet due to how early it was, the staff still maintained a nice ambience until it started to fill.
Our waiter Imran was very friendly and attentative, the restaurant was spotless and the food was superb. We both wanted to try new dishes and after explaining what we wanted from our meal, our waiter Imran recommended both of our dishes which were both spot on and delicious.
Every course and dish was fresh and very tasty and the experience has left us looking forward to a return visit.

If I could give 0 stars I would. The food was bland with overcooked lamb. Very dry. All the none of the food is fresh it’s all frozen and heated up or cooked (like an air fryer). The hygiene… the food came out on a dirty trolly. The manager has very poor customer service skills and insinuated the restaurant caters for a specific demographic of people instead of the authentic cuisine. I’ve come here before around 3 years ago and had a great time. It’s a shame to see the restaurant go down hill.

Lovely, friendly staff who were welcoming and attentive. They even decorated our table with banners and sprinkles which just made it that bit more special.
Food was out of this world - Amazing. Doggy bag was even an option for our left overs.

DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY PEOPLE!

Wow. Whole experience was fantastic. Richard and staff were really lovely and welcoming. Food was amazing. We went for lunch but ordered off the main menu which came out piping hot and was the best Chinese we have tasted. We got most of it boxed up to take home for dinner as ordered a few dishes to try. Ordered chicken chow mein, egg fried rice, satay chicken, barbecue ribs in sauce, Chinese duck and sweet and sour chicken Hong Kong style. The chicken was juicy, the ribs fell off the bone, all the food was really enjoyable. This will definitely be our new go to Chinese and recommend it to anyone who loves a Chinese. The restaurant was very clean was lovely sitting in there but they also do takeaway.

An Honest Review
I wanted to share an honest review after visiting this restaurant for my mum’s birthday especially since it’s been getting so much hype on social media. Honestly, I have no idea why, particularly on Instagram. Sadly, our experience didn’t live up to the expectations at all.
The food was incredibly bland and lacked any real flavour. I’m genuinely confused as to why this place is so highly recommended because, truthfully, it had no flavour whatsoever. The chicken curry was completely tasteless, the sweet & sour chicken was overcooked, and the beef in black bean sauce was so chewy it bordered on leathery. The chicken chow mein? Just plain noodles with zero seasoning or depth. Portion sizes were small especially the rice dishes and absolutely not worth the price. The only thing nice were the prawn crackers, which honestly says a lot.
To top it off, the tiger prawn appetiser has to be pre-ordered and costs £25 for a single portion the same as paying for one person at Cosmo, where you can help yourself as many times as you like.
Honestly, the social media hype oversells this place massively. Do not fall into the trap the misrepresentation of this restaurant online is honestly wild. We definitely got caught up in the buzz and wanted to see for ourselves what the fuss was about, but it simply wasn’t worth it.
The only saving grace was the service the staff were genuinely lovely and attentive, and that’s the only reason this isn’t a one-star review. Unfortunately, the food, value, and overall experience left us so disappointed that we won’t be returning.

Should wait till you leave the table. I dinned with 4 others and we each paid our own however when working out the bill we were being over charged by £10.00. My grandson had special curry with rice and tap water. £65.00. Total bill. The food tasted very bland. All white table cloths, no music no ambience. Over rated restaurant and over priced. Many thanks to the team at Blue Orchid for keeping my coat safely when I left it behind! The restaurant is run well with the service, staff was friendly and the place was clean. However I have to be honest that we didn't think the food was overly great - the crispy chilli beef was more on the chewy side and the seafood soup had some unmixed gelatin which was not pleasant to find. Popped in here last weekend with the other-half, picked it at random over the other Indians on the road but so glad we did! Absolutely blown away by the food! This may well be the best Indian I've ever had, the classics are all there on the menu, but the Chef's signature and the Razza specials were great to see on the Menu.
Started with a couple of papadums and was instantly impressed with just the sauces on offer! We shared a mixed platter off of the charcoal pit starters, and a crispy fried seafood off of the street food starters, both utterly delicious but we probably could have gotten away with just sharing the one, as the portion sizes definitely aren't to be sneered at! I had the Murgh Masala for mains, with my other-half having the lamb Acharie, with a pilau rice each and a pershwari naan to share. Absolutely amazing, genuinely some of the nicest food I've had, let alone curries/indian food. Both of us struggled to finish our meals, but only due to the portion sizes!
The usual drink fare is available, cobra beer, decent wine list, but you're definitely not coming here for the drinks, but you HAVE to come here for the food!
Staff also all helpful, happy and welcoming, the place is perfectly laid out, well presented and modern, but for how good the food is they could get away with the place being a tip and I'd still be back!

I visited this evening with my husband and daughter (7 years old). Firstly, we liked the decor - the very unique lamps on each table looked great and my daughter loved the coloured lights option! The restaurant has a very welcoming atmosphere. Both of the owners took the time to come to speak to us which was lovely. And both of the waiting staff who served us were very friendly and attentive. The lovely waitress even offered to pack up our leftover food, which was a kind gesture.
There were lots of drinks available - we went for a couple of the mocktails and both enjoyed them. The poppadom chutneys were very nice and different to the usual ones. For Starters, we chose the vegetarian platter - there were lots of options and they were all very tasty. The portion was very generous - I was stuffed after finishing my share of the starter! We went for 2 different paneer dishes and bombay aloo for the main course with jeera and the pulao rice. All were cooked to perfection - we especially enjoyed the bombay aloo - it had a lovely kick to it. As mentioned, the portions are very generous, so we were really full and therefore, did not try any of the desserts. There were some lovely dessert options however.
Delhi Live gets thumbs ups from me and my family and we would definitely dine there again.

The food is delicious with reasonable price- however when we were dinning in , one person at our table had meat allergy and were served meat samosas when we originally ordered vegetarian option.
When ordering online- three deliveries been lost handed over to the different address , when calling the restaurant we been explained that the driver been trying to call the door as well as the number but no one answered, refunds been never issued although requested.
Food never arrives on time and you have to wait for 1.5-2 hours after placing an order. Perhaps they treat you nice if you’re a Bengali.
As I said food is delicious. Just make sure you collect to save you the stress of not getting your order on time or not getting it at all.

Came here for a quiet dinner with husband and the front of house and waiter were exceptionally helpful and customer service was excellent. Beautiful decor and clean facilities. I didn't want to leave! The quality of food was amazing for the price and also quick food service. Compliments to the chef. The prawn bhuna curry we ordered was a bit too sweet for our liking though and the manager kindly took it off our bill as we couldn't eat it. The complimentary sauces were nice especially the red one which we literally poured on our plates lol. Where do i even begin! This place is amazing, i’ve been coming here for over a decade now with family and told all my mates about it too. Its now actually become a tradition when friends come down, the first thing we say is Bollywoods?

Firstly food was delivered cold considering the restaurant is 3minutes from my home this was my first disappointment, but I have a microwave and didn’t want to be a complainer.. then I dish and taste the food which was most certainly not what I had ordered a hour before hand my food was bland flavourless and filled with lemon and had a sweet sauce the dish was meant to be spicy I called the restaurant to ask them to correct this as I had spent almost £50 and I was verbally attacked being told this was their own ‘version’ of the curry and if I want it to be spicy I should eat the separate chilli’s provided absolutely disgusting customer service I will never order from here again and will go above and beyond to be sure everyone local is well aware of this un authentic flavourless establishment. We got 1 small thin stick of kofta meat 1 cube of chicken, 1 chicken leg 1 piece of lamb( if you could call it that) 1 cube of lamb and 1 prawn! I like the idea of unlimited Chinese food which this restaurant offers. Parking is free and available outside the restaurant which is quite convenient and our window table overlook part of the golf course. Me and my partner ordered our starters (twice), had a course of roast duck and pancake before tucking in to our mains. All the dishes we had were tasty, rightly portioned and nicely presented. The waitresses are friendly from start to finish and they made good recommendations for food selection. There is also an outdoor seating area which can be really nice during the summer or warm evenings. I would recommend this place and will definitely revisit in the future.

We were there for a wedding reception, and were seated in the main bar area of this golf club, overlooking one of the fairways.
As the name implies, it is Asian based, so we had a Chinese buffet and it was excellent. It was brought in just before serving so it was fresh and vibrant. Everyone thought the food was excellent.
Adjacent to the bar is a proper dining area. This room was absolutely full, so obviously the restaurant has a great reputation.
Well worth the visit, though I would imagine booking is essential, particularly at weekends.

It's a pricey all you can eat. 22 quid per person including service charges for food which is typical of a Chinese all you can eat. A bit oily, sweet and average flavour. Three stars because I liked a couple of things out of the 6 or 7 varieties we ordered on the table. Staff was pushy and a little bit impolite. I've heard this place was very good. However, now having eaten here I found that my expectations were let down. On arrival no one guided us to a table we sat down where we wanted, we weren't sure where to sit no tables were layed, being Monday lunchtime may have had something to do with it? It wasn't busy there were two other tables occupied . No service was forthcoming so after, what felt like an iternity, we asked for the menu, when the waitress finally gave us the menu she took our drinks order. A smile doesn't cost anything. The starters didn't take too long to arrive as did the main course, but still the table wasn't layed.
Having said that, the service did improve and we got the odd smile from the waitress, the food was average I've eaten better and I've defiantly eaten a lot worse. Taking the price into account it wasn't too bad overall, evey restaurant deserves a second chance so I would eat here again. It may have squeezed four stars out of me if the service was better. Watch out for the stacks of chairs restricting the lift access.

Foods lovely, lovely views and staff were efficient and polite but... we had a table booked for 2 a long awaited for date night without kids, was sat in the corner between 2 open balcony doors where people were outside smoking. The restaurant has a set price of £19.90 sun-thu, £21.90 Fri & sat, for adults, cheaper for kids. I ordered the duck which was a bit dry, the cucumber that came with it was limp and could tell it wasn't fresh. The ribs had no meat on them. The beef in black bean sauce was tasteless. Came here the second time after 8 years and could not be more happy with the food. We ordered Beef Hor Fun, Wonton noodles and Fried rice with mushroom. All 3 dishes were in big portion (may be it's big for me as I'm Asian) and so tasty! The beef was tender, wontons were big ones and the soup was so nice. Asked for chili oil (which is legit spicy and smell good) and there was no extra charge. The waiter was very kind and polite, always said Thank you whenever we interacted with him. Where do I begin, did mention no onion but they had to sprinkle some on every dish. When I spoke to the man he arrogantly grab the dish off the table went to the kitchen and came out few minutes later. Seems he just picked them and served us again. We decided to try again, under new management and as the light of India.
It has a lovely feeling , and all the staff very warm and welcoming.
The food was lovely, really hot and tasty.

Disgusting! Been a customer for years. Ordered takeaway, asked twice on the phone if the driver accepted a card machine as it stated on website. Tony has never accepted card over the phone as it costs the business. Old fashioned, but asked to clarify the website comment.He said yes.

This has always been our favourite place for an Indian. yeah..they make mistakes because they're human but they always try to rectify it when mentioned to them. they have ALWAYS gone above and beyond to make us feel welcome and to ensure they get it right. we went for Christmas day dinner and they went out of their way to make sure my family had an excellent time and a great meal. they do not sell alcohol but we were told to bring our own..which obviously brought the bill right down. the cost of the meal was exactly the same as any other day in the year. there were 6 adults and a hungry 7 year old. it came to £141...for Christmas dinner !!! im doing this every year, im just hoping they're open for Christmas 2024 because they can rely on our custom. thank you guys. this was the best Christmas dinner ever (i hate roast dinners)
for the record, we always make a point of trying other places to see which is best. there are other places nearby that do meal deals and cheaper stuff. but the flavours this restaurant serves has not been bettered elsewhere (apart from one place in north yorkshire a couple of years ago but its a bit far for a local)

Its such a shame that this place has fallen in standard of food and customer service. We ordered as usual via Ubereats and after waiting an hour we were told the driver was on his way. A further 40 minutes the driver arrives and offers a whimsical apology .

Not sure what happened. Place used to be great on a weekly basis for the last couple years however the last 4 orders have been a shambles.
4 times in a row there were missing items from the order. They did always go back and get them, however it sometimes took over an hour and we had to chase by phone.

The red curry is one of the best I've had. Really flavoursome and a good portion. Could do with a bit more chicken pieces but the curry was 10/10.

I personally thought the food here was terrific, i ordered a special fried rice and satay chiken. The rice was impeccable, the satay was a tiny bit dry for me but nevertheless it was throughly enjoyed. The peanut sauce and this wierd chiilie sauce thing was absolutely fab. The special fried rice here is exceptional - definitely one of the best I've tried and the main reason I'd return. The portions are generous across all dishes, which adds great value.

So happy to find a traditional "English curry house" not too far from home. I love this style of restaurant and cooking and would say, it's been around so long, it's probably authentic in its own way. Our first visit was vastly different form our last visit this evening. The meat on the mixed kebab starter was hard and blackened, not cooked, but thoroughly cremated!
The waiter then argued with me over the meat, inspecting it and shuffling the pieces of burnt meat, around my plate with a fork in front of me, then returned later saying that the chef required 'proof' of the inedible meal, after they had taken our plates back to the kitchen! I paid £51 for a meal I could not eat. I won't be making that mistake again!
We ordered mushroom bahji's (one course) and received bowls of greasy mushrooms onions and peppers in a liquid sauce, not resembling anything like a typical bahji. Usually a cornflour base fried fritter-like onion snack.
They are offering a five (5) course meal for £13.95, which I thought was reasonable, until I realised they include popadoms and nan bread as separate courses.
It seems like they've only smartened up the restaurant, although they've still not addressing the overall quality of the food served. They simply haven't really improved, where it counts most!
I'm not surprised they only received two stars from the food standards agency in 2017! and doesn't seem like much has improved since.

My key favourite dish is a tandoori mixed grill and this had a charred and completely burnt prawn that was inedible, the chicken leg and thigh piece was also burnt black down one side. As mentioned we tried to call them to rectify but they care only about the money not the bad reviews they will get. No problem! All my friends and family will put their reviews. Ordered for takeaway delivery. Portion size is good, food is cooked through and hot. Ordered staple foods: Chicken Fried Rice (extra chicken), Spring Rolls and Chinese Curry Sauce. It unfortunately does not taste like typical Chinese takeaway food. Was so happy when I found Chop Suey Centre - I went for the chicken and prawn sweet and sour with egg fried rice. Unbelievable!!! The food is nice, but can be very expensive. £7 for a large special fried rice and it isn't even in a big container. I think this will force me to cook at home and stop giving away my money. Have been using Nishan for over 20 years. Recently ordered two mains and rice and couple of sides. It can only assume it’s change hands. Only one main and rice turned up. New Season is one of my favourite Chinese takeaways — a hidden gem in an unexpected place! My regular order is special fried rice (no pork), salt & pepper chicken or wings, curry sauce, and prawn toast. They always deliver tasty, fresh food that hits the spot every time.
The chicken is halal, which is a big plus, and the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. Their service is consistently great, and the food never disappoints. Can’t recommend them enough!

I honestly wish I had listened to the reviews before ordering. The food here was extremely disappointing. The chicken korma was far too sweet and full of shredded coconut nothing like a proper korma should be. The lamb curry had only a few small pieces of meat, and the rest was just a thick mix of onions and tomatoes with barely any flavour.
Even the naan bread was awful thick, soggy, and completely tasteless. The only thing that was even halfway decent were the popadoms. Everything else was a letdown.
This was easily the worst Indian meal I’ve ever had. The quality and taste were all terrible. Don’t waste your money here there are plenty of better Indian restaurants nearby that actually care about their food and customers.

The curry in a hurry for me and the kids, it comes with 5 pieces of chicken, good size and I always call and tell them no chilli powder/spice for the kids. On the local community pages this place gets many good reviews, Google has many good reviews, so for my missus birthday we thought we'd give it a go for a family feast, I spent £75 via just eat and I'll be honest it wasn't the best Chinese experiences we've ever had, half the family didn't eat what was on their plate and those that did have been complaining.
Me , i ate everything on my plate, because I paid for it and I hate waste,I've usually got a cast iron belly, but I've been burping it up for hours now.

Definitely a hidden gem in Romford, they offer some authentic Filipino cuisines. Their chicken nachos is a must order, absolutely delicious!

We were excited to try Tilaw for the first time and even traveled an hour to get there. Since it was our first visit we were confused at first because the door sign said “Closed” which made us hesitate even though we could see staff and guests inside. So I went near the door to ask and we went it. My husband asked me "is this how Filipino restaurant operates?" since the girl working there was not welcoming the moment we enter. Still we tried to enjoy our date.
The food itself was very good the crispy pork belly definitely satisfied my cravings! Unfortunately there was no soup available that day. I also had to ask the staff if one of the dishes contained pork since my husband doesn’t eat it, but she seemed unsure. It turned out to be sweet and sour fish. I understand she might have been tired but as front-of-house staff a warm welcome, a smile, and clearer communication would have made the experience much better.
Overall, the food was enjoyable but desserts were served quite late. Hopefully next time the service experience matches the quality of the dishes. Thank you for the great food!

We woke up so early since we live in London to try their Saturday breakfast buffet in Romford. The price was £12.49 which was really good and affordable. And oh man the price was super worth it because the food that were on the buffet were so tasty!
The beef tapa was delightful. The longganisa was really good too. The hotdog which looks like Tender Juicy hotdog was surprisingly very good. It was as if you were eating the real TJ hotdog. The pork tocino was also flavourful, like it was marinated and seasoned well! Generally, our experience was amazingly pleasant with their breakfast buffet.
One thing I could say for improvement is that maybe do not advertise food that will not be there on the buffet. I remember the ads said they were meant to have Champorado but it was not actually there when we ate. But otherwise, hands down to the chef who made and cooked all the food.
Will surely recommend this and come back again! 😁

The food here is more for the Asain palette. Most English people are used to Indian food in restaurants, which has been adapted to our palette. I recently ordered the vegetable biryani from chief asia, and unfortunately, I found pieces of chicken in my dish. We had our Sunday lunch there recently, ordered halwa puri and aalu k parathay. The ambiance was good, chowlay tasted nice but halwa needs a little more flavour. And thankfully the puris were not rubbery. The staff was helpful and the lady (one of the chef) was really nice. The shop has just been opened so I would love to go again there as Romford really needs a good place for halwa puri and some seriously good pakistani food. Overall a good experience and the price was quite reasonable.
