Favourite place to eat in Manchester!
I come here a lot already for both brunch and dinner occasions, so it was my natural first choice when looking for a spot for 15 of us to dine at for our special occasion.
As usual, both the food and the service were absolutely exceptional:
FOOD
We had the group dining menu with a selection of dips and (to die for) homemade pittas to start, then a variety of small plates to follow. For small plates, the portion sizes were great and we were absolutely stuffed by the end - notable faves were the babaghanoush, the skate, the hispi cabbage, and the chocolate dessert drizzled with olive oil.
We also had a member of our group with coeliac disease, so we were delighted to find out almost every item on the menu was gluten free or had a gf alternative.
SERVICE
Leading up to the booking Ines and Callum were fantastic at communicating with us and answering any questions we had about the dinner.
On the night we were served by Kai and Tom who went above and beyond to ensure we had a gorgeous evening. The team were so accommodating including total clarity and care around our dietary requirements and allergen flags, taking care of details to simplify payment for such a large group, and all round bringing warmth and friendliness to make our night so special. Also a special kudos to the chefs and bar staff making such incredible food and delicious cocktails/mocktails. We can't thank you all enough.
We couldn't fault it, and are so grateful for the team for all of the effort and care to ensure we had the best time. We'll definitely be back asap!

Family of 5, had an amazing Saturday brunch here. The extractor fan was broken when we arrived, so a little smokey, but staff were so good and accommodating even with this going on!!
All the food was amazing and there was a really good choice for all. Have to say I tried a bit of the waffle and it was incredible, so light and delicious.

Had a really lovely meal at Evelyn’s, the atmosphere was great and the food was delicious. Everything was full of flavour and really well cooked. The roast was especially tasty, though I wouldn’t have minded a few more veggies and slightly crispier roasties. Still, a fantastic meal overall and definitely a place I’d come back to! I stopped by Evelyn's in Manchester for breakfast and was really glad I did. The space itself feels bright and welcoming, with lots of natural light, green plants dotted around, and simple wooden furniture that gives it a warm, easy-going vibe.

We had dinner with a friend and it was a truly lovely experience.
The food was delicious, beautifully served, and thoughtfully presented. We enjoyed the mushrooms (so flavorful), the cabbage (highlight of the night – incredible how they made cabbage taste this good), picanha meat (excellent quality), and handmade chips.
Service was warm, attentive, and felt very personalised.
The atmosphere struck the perfect balance between relaxing and glamorous in its simplicity.

First of all the atmosphere at Evelyn’s is lovely, the decor is so classy yet relaxed and we had a great evening, but the actual food does just slightly miss the mark.
We got 5 plates + 1 dessert between 2 of us with no drinks, and the bill came to over £80. It’s on the higher side but you’re also paying for the experience of getting to try several different dishes.
Highlights: tuna crudo, sumac chicken, cauliflower, labneh - really good so flavourful I can’t fault these
Half chicken was juicy but soooo bland like it didn’t have enough salt, even the capers themselves were flavourless as if they’d been boiled
Chocolate cremeux was grainy like it had not been emulsified correctly which was a little disappointing.
All in all I would probably return, I’d be intrigued to try the other menu items, each one is so creative. But for the price there are places in Manchester with better quality.

Whenever we enjoy a stay over in Manchester from our home in The Lakes (last night we jumped around to Busted v McFly at the Co-op Live) we head to Evelyn's for brunch. We were served by Phoebe and her service was impeccable. The food here is also really good, that we ate here twice despite only being in Manchester for a short while! I had the Bronx Brunch and it was delicious. Loved loved this restaurant and would seriously recommend it to anybody unsure of what to eat while in Manchester. Before leaving Manchester, I went to Moose Coffee. Their coffee was a bit light for my taste. I tried their Americano—it was okay, not bitter, not overly roasted, with a slight hint of coffee aroma. The Flat White was a bit disappointing, as the milk overpowered the coffee (the coffee does look good on the photo).

The waitress informed us the the extra egg would be charged extra, even though we would not be getting the sausage party and bacon. I ordered the chicken waffle, the mixture of flavours did not really suit my palet and was not very tasty. I have not been for years but it has definitely changed and not for the best. On a positive note dogs are welcome, however, I could not see a water bowl and was not offered one.

Dropped in at Federal a week ago on Sunday before the Pokemon GO Fest kicked off. Came in for my first experience of Eggs Benedict in the city centre and I was not disappointed.
Fast service and freshly prepared food is the standard here, so it's perfect if you're out and about in the centre.
Eggs Benedict and a Latte came in at £16ish, which feels about on par with most across Greater Manchester, feeling better than you're not being ripped off for being in the city itself.

Went here because we wanted a luxurious sweet brunch. We arrived around 12pm on a Thursday and there were no seats upstairs so we were sat in quite a dark corner downstairs beside the kitchen. The coffee was outstanding the mocha was really nice and chocolatey and the cappuccino was delicious. The food was good but I ordered the Shakshouka and it was very dry, there was no tomato sauce to dip the sourdough into and it was mostly just large chunks of relatively undercooked pepper. The poached egg in the middle was also rock solid which I have attached a photo of. The chicken sausages delivered however and seemed high quality. The French toasts were absolutely delicious, but be prepared for sugar overload, the toppings are extremely sweet but the toast itself is also really heavy in sugar. I felt like there could have been more of a balance by making the French toast a little less sweet, it was hard to finish the whole plate. We had one child with us who just wanted plain toasted bread which the restaurant did not have any left, and she didn't like the sourdough so it was a bit of a shame. Quite early to be calling an 86 on an essential item of a breakfast spot!

We’ve been loyal customers of this café for over two years, travelling all the way from Bradford just to enjoy breakfast here. Despite the long drive and often waiting 45 minutes to an hour outside, we never minded — the food and experience were always worth it.
However, our recent visit left us very disappointed. I ordered the smashed avocado toast, which is priced at £12 — not cheap, but we've always been happy to pay for the quality we've received in the past. Unfortunately, this time was completely different.
The portion was shockingly small: one very thin slice of toast with a minimal amount of avocado barely spread across it, a tiny egg, and a few cherry tomatoes. It looked nothing like what we’ve been served before. The hummus — which is listed on the menu — was less than a teaspoon and spread thinly on the plate. There was no salad or garnish, which was usually part of the dish. Presentation was poor and it felt like a rushed job with no attention to detail.

Told the owner I have coeliac, she said there's no gluten in the truffle until I read the label which she then was weird about it for a while when I kept asking about gluten, kept going around my questions to avoid answering me properly then when I pushed for answer said the 'may contain gluten' is only legal purposes. Went to Biskets on Wilmslow Road for breakfast and really enjoyed it. The staff were very friendly and welcoming — special mention to Qamar who was really good and attentive. The food was nice, freshly made, and served quickly.

The Mini Pancakes were magnificent. We ordered the Pistachio Passion variant. They had a nice crust and were soft in the middle. The batter wasn't overly sweet and they were elevated with the sweet Pistachio sauce and Ice-cream.
The French Toast was also very nice. Served with fruit and a scoop of Ice-cream, we enjoyed every bite. The addition of the Maple Syrup was nice. Instead of pouring it over the French Toast, we used it as a pseudo dip.
And finally, the Hazelnut Iced Latte and Mango Matcha drinks were invigorating. They retained the flavour all the way to the end. We've had similar drinks from other places and the flavour usually starts to diminish at the half way point. That wasn't the case here, which is indicative of them not skimping out on the flavours.
The only bad aspect of our visit was the fact that we had to wait outside for a bit before we were seated. Understandable as it was quite busy and there isn't really a waiting area inside.
It did seem a little understaffed as the table was free for about 10 to 15 mins whilst it was being cleaned. Ideally, it should have only taken 5 mins to clear everything. If there was just another server/cleaner, it would have streamlined the service just that little bit.
It wasn't that big of a faux pass, which is why I haven't docked any stars from the experience as a whole. The service whilst we were seated was really good.

Albert’s Schloss in Manchester never disappoints. I visited on 24th August for Sunday lunch with my Nan, Aunt and two friends for a birthday celebration, and, as usual, it was beautiful. The portions are generous, the pork knuckle was so huge it was impossible to finish, and all the accompaniments were cooked to perfection. From start to finish, the food and service were amazing.

Having recently fallen in love with the food, drink, and atmosphere of Bavaria itself, I was lucky enough to stumble across this restaurant in Manchester via Google Maps.
My timing must have been perfect, as the Oktoberfest specials were still running. I must emphasize that this was, without question, the best meal I have ever had at any restaurant, ever.
The moment I approached, the curb appeal filled me with confidence. The place looked as though it had been lifted straight out of Bavaria and perfectly placed in Manchester.
Upon entry, I was blown away. The interior featured a nicely laid-out dining area to the left, a cozy open fire with surrounding seating directly ahead, and large, long wooden tables and benches to the right, all backed by an impressive bar stocked with real German draft beers and a separate cocktail bar to the left. The setting was truly stunning.
I was seated in a booth and immediately ordered the Schweinshaxe—the Crispy Bavarian roasted pork knuckle. The menu described it perfectly: "brined for 12 hours before being rubbed in spices and roasted for 3 hours. Served with braised red cabbage and apple and a rich red wine gravy." I paired it with a real Bavarian Weißbier (wheat beer), it was simply divine.
The pork nuckle was huge and mainly meat which was fork tender and not too fatty, it had the most perfect crackling too. The braised red cabbage and red wine gravy paid beautifully and cut through the richness of the meat, all that for £19.50.
This dish is too good to be seasonal; they absolutely need to add it to the menu all year round!
The staff were brilliant throughout the meal. I was served by Alexandro, who was exceptionally polite and attentive. The combination of incredible food, authentic atmosphere, and excellent service made for an unforgettable dining experience

We visited for a birthday lunch, joined by my wife and daughter. We ordered three drinks – a Long Island Iced Tea, a Virgin Mojito, and a Forest Fruit Sour – all of which were well presented and enjoyable.
For food, we had the Schweinshaxe, Schnitzel Cordon Bleu, and Mushroom & Spinach Mafalde.
The Schweinshaxe came with a side of sauerkraut which was slightly on the sweet side – quite different from what I’ve had in Germany. The crackling was perfectly crisp and the fatty layer underneath was soft and flavourful, but the lean meat was a little overcooked and therefore slightly tough.

The highlight of the meal was definitely the Mushroom & Spinach Mafalde. The pasta had a delightful chewiness, and the sauce was rich, creamy and full of flavour.
Overall, the food was quite good, though the seasoning leaned a little heavy for my taste. The service, however, was excellent – Greg was polite, friendly and had a great sense of humour, and the other male waiter, though he didn’t mention his name, was equally courteous.

Had a fantastic experience here tonight. One of my favourite dishes when I go to Germany is Schweinhaxe. As it is Oktoberfest season, this was on the menu as a special... so I had to didnt I? But what was OUTSTANDING was the service from Afi, my server, who was incredibly friendly and attentive. Great service makes such a difference. I wont hesitate to return when I'm next in Manchester!

I photographed a wedding here last week and it's got to be one of my favourite wedding venues in Manchester. The decor is amazing, the atmosphere is electric. The bar is huge, the food is amazing. The space you have for weddings is great, the area outside the venue is also great for photos as it's so close to the cool store fronts and bars but also inside has some great gems. the rooms are great for getting ready in, the light in the ones I shot were super cool and industrial. I run creative collage workshops here every month and I am always so grateful for the wonderful support from the staff. Emily who helped out today was absolutely fantastic, so friendly and helpful. Just like all the team members who always assist me with setting up the space and promptly serve drinks to workshop guests. I love the soundtrack they play and the interior vibe. Stayed here in a suite at the weekend and I'm in awe! The room was just out of this world. Spacious, very clean and had an industrial vibe. All amenities catered for every need possible. The toiletries were gorgeous (and yes there is a hairdryer too). Easiest check in and out I've ever known.
The ground floor has comfy sofas, booths, bar and restaurant and the ultimate - it's own dj's! Just sat listening to them, drinking and chilling was what was needed. Breakfast was delightful and the monitor just topped the bill. Definitely worth every penny and more.

Ordered vegan burger and fries. Fries were great, burger itself was disgusting. I've tried many a vegan burger but I simply couldn't eat this one despite being hungry. I won't return, save your money and go elsewhere! Serving such poor quality food is unacceptable especially given it's pricing. Ate and drank many times in this unique super stylish spot located a hop skip and a jump to Piccadilly train station and tons of car parking and one of the reasons I met my buddy here for a cappu and a catch up.

Eggs royale with avocado was delicious, albeit served a bit cold. The pancakes were delicious, as well as the pomegranate lemonade.

I’ve visited other Bill’s locations before, but the Spinningfields restaurant is definitely one of the nicest. The atmosphere was brilliant, helped even more by the beautiful Christmas decorations. They even had a fun Christmas game where you could win a bottle of prosecco!

Came here for a chat with friends over drinks so my review is somewhat limited. Really like the space and the decor. None of the faffing about and people being served the wrong dish that I have experienced at similar functions and, indeed, weddings at other establishments.
With the possible exception of the carrots which, to my mind, we're unintentionally undercooked or accidentally al dente, the food was exceptional - really delicious. If Impossible were a standalone restaurant, I would definitely go back.
For entertainment, there was a fire eater performer. Her skills were impressive, but I was worried throughout that she would set the low ceiling above the stage on fire. Seriously. This was a distracting worry.
There was also a DJ. He kept the music at a sensible volume during the meal so that people could hear each other talk. But after the meal, he just blasted it out, with the result that conversation was impossible. And I didn't understand the point of that as tables taking up the entire floor area meant that there was zero space for dancing.
Then, at only three minutes to ten, the music abruptly stopped, the lights came up, and staff told us we had to go up to the public bar upstairs.
The street-level bar looked as you would expect any upmarket bar to look. It was a Friday night and bustling .
Impossible is located just off Deansgate and is adjacent to the Great Northern complex which houses an Odeon cinema multiplex, so if upmarket bars are your thing and you are in that part of Manchester city centre, it is worth checking out. And, some minor criticisms notwithstanding, I would absolutely recommend Impossible for a corporate function that includes a sit-down meal. Their food and service are top notch.

I asked 2 members off staff if it was correct to be charged £50 for a bottle of Prosecco as I was shocked. One said, “I’m so sorry” “it is” and looked embarrassed.

Brunch was booked until 5:30pm, x2 meals only came out at 5:20pm.
Drinks were made on three occasions without alcohol. The glasses provided were dirty and resembled the water glasses you get at Frankie and bennies.

We had to switch a table due to the breeze from the ac, no problem at all. The menu is as rich as it’s flexible – you can shape and tune your meal with dozens of options available. I visited Café North with my sister and we were honestly blown away. The food was absolutely delicious we ordered the Traditional English Breakfast, fluffy pancakes, and French toast with toppings (SO good 😍). The portion sizes were generous, and everything came out hot, fresh, and full of flavour.
We also had their summer fruits with fresh apple & ginger juice and a rich hot chocolate — both were perfect and super refreshing. The drinks alone made the visit worth it!

So this place was def built for instagram, very specific decor, very clean but that’s definitely no crime.

We had the most amazing time at this restaurant last night! Carman and her team were incredible — they looked after our party of four with such warmth and care. From start to finish, the service was flawless and made us feel right at home.
The vibe was absolutely beautiful — it genuinely felt like we’d been whisked away to Sicily. And the food? Unreal. Every dish was packed with flavour, but the pistachio pasta completely stole my heart. I need more of it in my life!

We ordered our food and it came fast, however, the tomato sauce tasted like a prepackaged sauce from a supermarket - underwhelming for £17 a dish. The muscles were lovely though. We had the Full Breakfast and Vertigo Benedict, we were blown away! Both were absolutely delicious and fab portion sizes too.

Staff were kind, friendly and very welcoming, you really have to try whilst your in Manchester, whether your vegan or not!
They also played great 80s bangers so we were in our element, and it wasn't too loud either so we hear each other talk perfectly.

In honesty, the breakfast was mildly behind that at Salford. Unseasoned, the tofu was a bit of a let down. The plate was very cold, which meant the breakfast brunch was soon cold too. Neither here nor Salford give you any spread for the dry sourdough toast. It’s a but dry on its own. It’s a personal thing, but I’d much prefer some granary over the sourdough. I just felt the Salford breakfast was generally ahead on all counts. Not by a lot, it is still excellent. But still.

I was disappointed on Sunday because what I have eaten before in the same store was quiet different. The pancakes were harder and not fluffy at all. Worse, it tasted and smelled like an omelette. Absolutely LOVE this place. I always get the ice cream because so they have so many different and UNIQUE flavours it brings me so much joy, worth every penny. My favourite flavours are mango mochi, lychee berry, and literally so many of the other flavours too. I dragged my Mom to Manchester on a trip because I had to see my first United match at OT. To make up for it, we had a night on the town and ended up at Atlas. This place blew us away. The decor is lovely and the menu has great brunch options. The food was great too! Had the Eggs Cali and chocolate milkshake and pancakes for dessert (although I usually don't order desert but the atmosphere was encouraging), all were tasty and really good. Such fresh food which always hits the spot - the coffee is amazing as well, which just makes everything ten times better. The staff are super lovely, and there’s a huge variety of options for food and drinks, so it’s always difficult to choose. Every dish and drink that I’ve had has always been of the highest quality, it’s fresh and it’s just perfect. I look forward to the next time I come to eat at Dulce Cor.
I went for the Teddy Bear Brunch, and it was a great deal - lots of food and lots of drinks. However, it would’ve been great for a teddy bear to actually be at the table - I could only see one teddy bear far away from my table! 🧸

It's always a gamble to have breakfast on your only day off in a new place but I was not disappointed, thank you to the owners and staff who made my day get off to a restful start.
Wonderful new cafe spot with a fantastic breakfast menu and very lovely flavour combinations. The food is of a good and fresh quality with attention being paid to the small details.
If there was anything I'd suggest to improve it would be that there should be table service because queuing up at the bar is a little beneath the kind of place you have here.

Service is friendly, cafe nicely decorated, good music, comfortable chairs. The food is okay, but coffee really good, also the filtered and flavoured free water. You order at the bar, but the food wasnt delivered at the same time, also took a while and drinks were partly forgotten about and then doubted that we paid and ordered. There was a lot of staff and table cleaned when you were hardly finished and others still eating.
The toilet was in the dark and not very tidy. Overall not bad, but room for improvement, wouldn't agree with the other reviews being amazing.
