We enjoy the fact you can sit in or outside. They serve coffee from a local business which is great to see. I will be looking at their gym and swimming membership as well as this is something that they offer too. I’ve not stayed in the chalets but they look functional and ideal for families and probably couples too. You can walk, run or cycle around the grounds. It used to be a golf course, which I had played over the years. It’s much better now !! Loads of wildlife using it and the paths are nicely laid out. This place is worth a visit for probably everyone and make your mind up after. I suspect you will go back.

I would have also preferred if the restaurant on site to stay open longer for example stay open to 7pm instead of last order 4:30pm. I also experienced the log cabin heating not working for a day and a half which was slightly cold but not too bad honestly. I really enjoyed my stay however these small things could improve will definitely be back thanks! We had lunch in the cafe then the kids had a fab time in the soft play. The cafe had a lovely selection of meals which were tasty and big portions. The cabin was kitted out with all essentials and was very comfortable. The bed was soft and the heating was adjustable. This had a steam sauna shower. The downside is the actual centre where the check-in, cafe, spa is located is very much like a holiday camp, very noisy and staff had basic customer service skills. This brought down the experience of staying here. The greys were at a luxury standard, where the facility was lower grade, with an 80’s holiday camp feel, and if there is a spa there I wouldn’t use it. Felt geared towards kids and families. Also avoided the hot tub due to the strong chlorine smell, perhaps they could consider salt water treatment for these. Overall nice cabins and some with better locations and views than others.

Huge spacious lodge with wood burning hot tub. The Whitekirk Hill site had so many amazing facilities such as the playbarn, the orangery, pool, spa and wild cairns which was amazing for our family holiday. Location and premises are beautiful! The only reason not to give 5 star is because when we arrived at our lodge one of the main bedrooms was locked. The hot tub wasn't working properly the whole weekend either which was a shame and we had to have someone come to look at it twice.
