I love the historic aspects of Casco Viejo. It's very Spaniard in the design with excellent red brick streets. The restaurant itself is in building shared between 3 restaurants. We ordered the Panamanian Grill. This dish came with chicken, pork, steak, and sausage accompanied with petacones and french fries. The duo of dipping sauces to go along with them is ketchup and some sort of chimichurri with mango dip. The french fries were really good, very much of a McDonald's shoestring style of french fry which is always nice because it's hard to just eat one at a time. Salt level was good and fitting for the fries. The petacones were decent, but maybe my least favorite thing from the dish (but, I still enjoyed them). Steak was decent quality and cooked just fine; same goes for the chicken. They give you an on the house petacones fries that come on top of Himalayan salt with some sort of citrus dipping sauce that looks like a queso, but tastes somewhat like mango or pineapple. It was definitely unlike anything I've ever tasted, but in a good way. I had my first Panamanian beer (Balboa) which was nice. It was a little dryer than I was expecting, but I enjoyed it.
