It was a good size and well decorated. Mark was very knowledgeable about local beers and had a decent selection of bottles. I visited this place twice on my visit to Matlock and all the beers were well kept. There was suitable ales for both craft and real ale lovers on tap. Walked past this the first time round - it had the old newsagents sign up still! It was recommended by the guy in the Black Cat Cafe. The decor is fantastic. Beautiful colours, exposed brickwork, great lighting. A real trendy, homely feeling. Just wish I was a local. Lots of local bottles. Great selection on tap. Some craft and some that'll appeal to a more traditional beer drinker. All well kept. Bar keep was spot on.
