Watch the "valleys" of the rolling hills for bigger animals as they like to use the hills as cover. Its is not the most spectacular of all hikes in the area and indeed it lacks some facinating natural things but it is 100% worth going and checking out everything it has to offer. Theres different "levels" of hiking to enjoy there too, if you're just in it for a stroll you can stick to the upper loops on the joe riche side or the grasslands on the Swainson rd side. Or if you need a decent workout go from swainson to joe riche or head north on the service rd to do the highlands trail (I think that's the name). Once a way to the peak opens up then itll be great for the hardcore hikers as well. Day trips only though, not enough trail nor campsites for anything overnight which is a good thing for a local in town hiking trail.
