However, the first 10ft maybe of the beach/water is rocks, so bring your water shoes, which will make the beach much more enjoyable. It does turn to sand once you get out far enough, but seriously bring water shoes. Water was nice. Go to Fort Ticonderoga if you have time and like history, it was very cool.
