성당 내부도 내부지만 옆의 공원이 쭉 걸으며 둘러보기에 좋았어요. 이끼랑 담쟁이덩굴에 녹빛이 된 성당이랑 벽이 주는 오래 되고 비밀스런 분위기가 있습니다.
웅장함과 최고의 고딕양식이라는 점에 놀랐지만 더 놀란건..성당안에 카페가 있다는 점과 수많은 사람들의 휴식장소라는 점에 더 놀랐다

생각보다 크고 웅장하고 직원분들도 친절함 캐리어를 끌고갔는데 공항도아니고 캐리어는 누가안훔쳐가겠지하고 입구에뒀는데 관람도중 경비원분이 오셔서 여기에두면 안된다고 따로보관해놨다고하셔서 감사했음.
시간을 잘 맞추면 찬송 연습하는 걸 볼 수 있음.
소리가 너무 아름다워 홀린 듯이 이끌려 가게 됩니다.

I was quite shocked in regards to this modern cathedral. I loved it! A circular building with a central alter and chapels around the sides of the structure. And then there's the amazing cript which is also a must see and so different to the cathedral above it

Amazing modern space with a strong sense of the sacred. Arrived late in the day so just people gathering for the evening Mass. Lighting and colours were very striking. Convenient car park with life made this very accessible. No shop or cafe due to refurbishment. Toilets were available and nicely kept.

Stunning with really friendly helpful staff, I was there when they had a fair with lots of stalls and it was such a nice atmosphere with bar and seating outside, there were great things on offer. We headed to St Luke's Bombed out Church - What a serene place. The building itself was beautiful, surrounded by wonderful trees + nature. The statue of the English Soldier + German Soldier - both with their own country uniforms BUT exactly the same face - should absolutely make you stop and think - we're not so very different from each other really are we?
These statues commemorating the shaking of hands - before their Christmas Day truce - engaging in a game of football - simply just young ordinary men before again the horrors of war continued.
The grounds are inviting, peaceful, serene with music playing and the opportunity to order food and drinks. A friendly place where people meet for lunch - take a break from sightseeing - just to BE. It's lovely and maybe we all feel that spirit of connection through ' The Handshake ' ENJOY

I have been going to this church for a number of years and I have enquired about house groups for around 6 times online, and nearly every time I have asked to join a house group I got ignored,
even when I ask in person I am told someone will get back to me but no one ever did.
Eventually there were about 2 occasions when someone there got back to me about this, however I still feel ignored.
Their services are good but I feel they somewhat lack certain social skills even though they are friendly.
Again they are very similar to the other church review I did last time as they are mainly only interested in Christians.

An old and a new cemetery around. Very peaceful and quiet place, regardless of the heavy traffic on the roads nearby. Great place for a walk, a little spiritual retreat or a prayer.
Feeling very lucky as the church was open at the time of my visit so I could do a little video of the interior, too.

Where you can hear the word of God and make friends at the same time. They served a drink, pastry, and everyone chatted before the start of the service. I've just finished photographing my first wedding at this church and what a church it is. From the outside it's unassuming but stepping inside and you'd be mistaken for being in Rome or Florence. It has to be seen to be believed. Which is easier said than done as the Church is only open once a week for mass on Sunday evening. The church serves as diocese for the students of Liverpool University. If you get the chance to visit this Church for what ever reason you will not be disappointed.

As an architectural ecclesiologist I am fascinated by the entire building. I had a meal at The Abbey Hotel across the road and saw the church through the window. I came back next night to view the church properly and I was surprised by the warmth of the building itself and the people who care for it. Due to covid arrangements will be needed to enter the building again but if you can please pay it a visit as it is the most beautiful architecture I have seen as an ecclesiologist.

Revd John Charles Ryle (10 May 1816 – 10 June 1900) was an English evangelical Anglican bishop. He was the first Anglican bishop of Liverpool.
He married three times but his first two wives died young.
The first marriage was on 29 October 1845, to Matilda Charlotte Louisa, daughter of John Pemberton Plumptre, of Fredville, Kent.
The second, in March 1850, was to Jessy, daughter of John Walker of Crawfordton, Dumfriesshire. The third, on 24 October 1861, was to Henrietta, daughter of Lieutenant-colonel William Legh Clowes of Broughton Old Hall, Lancashire.

When Scriptures say that the Lord will give His people Shepherds after His heart, He sure meant it and Glory Worship Church has embodied this Scripture over the years. Before coming to the UK, a major concern for me was the Church I would become a part of. Amidst the plethora of choices to make in this regard, the Lord led me to GWC. Instead of just a Church, He gave me more. He blessed me with a family, a support system, a community, a home, enamored in the word of truth, heartfelt worship and prayers. Over the years and still counting, I have experienced dimensions of growth, I have tasted and I have seen that the Lord is good! If you doubt it, why not prayerfully try it?

The first of two iron framed churches I visited. It dates from 1813-1814. it was a joint venture by J.M. Gandy who produced original designs, Thomas Rickman who redesigned the building and John Cragg a local iron founder who produced the components. Apart from the stone walls the entire building is iron. Most stained glass was blown out in WW2, the east window is a post war replacement by Shrigley & Hunt.

Many viewers have been expressed their admire for this building before me.
I only can agree with them… this magnificent church has 4 different faces. The first from the St Domingo Road… nice little entrance with tall trees… inviting little garden (well looked after!). The two opposite sites of the church I would call the sunny side or the “sunrise” - the left hand from the road, meanwhile the right side is the “sunset”.
Interesting enough that the ‘other side’ Northumberland Terrace supported to be the main entrance. From that red gate there’s a stunning little view over the city.
At the time of my visit the church was closed but it didn’t matter as it was a wonderful experience, anyway.
The St George’s flag is terrible missed from the top to invite and unite the people with their believes.

What a beautiful church - and I don't just mean the building - but rather the wonderful, vicar I met there on 8 July 2016 when photographing a beautiful couple's wedding. Most vicars make my job as a wedding photographer very difficult, but he was full of smiles and happiness, giving me freedom to document the couple's emotions during their wedding ceremony. We had our Wedding here in May 2018. My Mum & Dad were married here and I was Christened here. This church holds lots of lovely memories for me. The Vicar Sara and her congregation were brilliant in helping us in the planning of the big day. Some of the congregation I have known from childhood. To be honest I would love to be able to move my mother's cremated remains from this garden and put somewhere accessible. My husband and I were chaperoned this morning whilst we took flowers for my mother's birthday so that the gate could be locked. A lady waited with us until we finished our visit, not by the gate but next to us. So no little chat etc ... am shocked really and upset. I thought the issues had been resolved with the departure of Father Sergio but apparently not! I wish this was the church of my early year's, full to the door and welcoming.

Well.where do i Start. What an Amazing priest Sergio is. I was at mass on Sunday morning with my family from Sligo in Ireland. What a Wonderful Welcome we received into this Beautiful Church by Sergio.
What a Fabulous cermon. I was hanging on to every word. My mind never wondered off once. Sergio is a wonderful priest to have in this lovely welcoming parish. It was great to the lovely community photos of there trips on the walls for visitors to see.
I have to say there is a wonderful community volunteering support in this parish.
I will look forward to our visit again.😀😀.
