The museum is vast so you could spend hours there but, as entry is free, I quite often just pop in to spend a few minutes in a lunch break or when waiting for the train (it is just next to Exeter Central Station). It is worth noting that there are lockers at the museum where you can leave your belongings while you walk round which is great for those who are passing by and perhaps have more bags etc that they would like! (원문) On a recent visit to Exeter we were running a little early for a restaurant reservation and went into Exeter Castle Fine Art to browse. We were welcomed by Chris Hawkins who courteously and expertly led us round the gallery. He was incredibly knowledgeable about all of the artists and the works, happily spending time with us, answering questions and sharing his obvious love of art and for the gallery. At no point did we feel that we were being "sold" to or pressured into buying anything, the visit was a joy from start to finish. I was very drawn to a limited edition called "Loch Lonely" by Lawrence Coulson which I have subsequently purchased through Chris who has been so helpful. I would not hesitate to recommend.
