영화 미드웨이를 보았다. 샌디에고 간 김에 있다길래 보았다. 엄청 크다. 내부도 해군 항모승조원의 삶을 체험할 수 있게 잘 해놨다. 함교는 인원제한을 걸고 차례로 보내는데 줄도 엄청 길고 배 내부를 돌아다니다 보니 너무너무 지치는 관광지이다. 오 이렇게 사는구나 볼 수 있지만 군에 가고싶지 않게 하는 그런 광광지이다.

일단 굉장히 넓습니다. 관람코스가 잘 짜여져 있어서 배 구석구석을 볼 수 있습니다. 중간중간 주요 장소들마다 자원봉사자 분들이 상주해 계셔서 설명도 들을 수 있습니다. 영상물도 꽤 많아서 다 보고 가려면 시간이 많이 필요합니다.

밀덕에게 매우 좋은 장소. 항공모함의 실내외, 생활상, 탑재기, 콕핏체험 등이 많다. 아이가 있다면 주니어 세일러를 참여해서 뱃지도 받을 수 있음. 그냥 슥 보고가면 2시간 이내로 끝낼 수 있을 듯 하나, 자세히 보고 다니니 4시간도 부족했음.

발보아 파크 한가운데 자리잡고 있는 예쁜 미술관. 학생할인(8불) 받으시면 가볼만한데 동부의 met, moma, 필리 미술관, Barnes, 내셔널 갤러리, mfa 등 유명 미술관에 비하면 아무래도 많이 못 미칩니다.

작품이 그리 많지는 않아요 하지만 한번 둘러보기 괜찮아요
