They were friendly, helpful and invested in my parents having the best day. The buffet was delicious, there was lots of it and a selection of different foods (burger sliders, fruit platters, chicken strips etc). (원문) I recently visited the hotel ( I didn’t stay ) with family to have a carvery prior to the carnival , I had travelled as I do every year for this special occasion and general stand by the hotel . The hotel is reasonably price and in a great location . We booked a carvery which was really enjoyable but the star of the hotel was a lady called Sandy/Sandie , when it comes to customer service this is a five star ⭐ employee , nothing was to much trouble not just for us but everyone eating , she is friendly attentive and knows what you need before you do , helping the elderly checking customers without being intrusive what a superstar . Unfortunately, our experience was significantly impacted by ongoing filming that we were not informed about prior to our arrival. Upon arrival, we were directed to a back entrance, which felt unprofessional and unwelcoming. We were told to be 'super quiet which immediately created a sense of intrusion. On multiple occasions, we were stopped in hallways and asked to wait for extended periods, disrupting our plans and making us feel like our time was not valued. It would have been much better if the hotel had informed guests beforehand or considered closing during the filming. Treating paying guests as a nuisance is not a good business practice. I see some of the critical reviews but we really enjoyed our short stay. Yes there is plenty of work to keep restoring this beautiful hotel but more the reason to book it. My room was a single room, one night stay and although its décor and furnishing was very much of the 20th century, there were ample USB sockets in the room, adequate tea/coffee etc and the room and ensuite was spotlessly clean, warm and very comfortable. This hotel would benefit from some modernisation, and some interior design input, but it is priced fairly (my opinion) for what it is. The bad bits.....on arrival we ordered drinks on the app, took 18 minutes to arrive after asking a staff member. 2nd drinks ordered on app took 45 minutes! The place was busy but not rammed to capacity with spare tables available. Not sure if they had staff issues but definitely a poor level of service. We had a comfortable night's sleep until 05:30 am where the window cleaner van arrived to clean the down stairs windows and had a full on load conversion with a wetherspoons staff member who was sweeping up outside for 10 minutes which woke us up! We ordered breakfast that was disappointing cold , eggs hard, beans stone cold and coffee luke warm. During our stay there was a customer outside seated intoxicated, constantly swearing and very load (with young kids about) who knew the staff by name who they continually served alcohol to. We witnessed a fight in the outside seating area which the female Manger dealt with. Kids running and jumping on outside tables like an assault course . Staff did nothing and just turned a blind eye and served the parents whilst the kids ran accross 6 table tops

The staff were great/very attentive. Members of our party used the sauna and pool and said it was great. Only downside is the location, it's quite a walk into town (about 30mins but not a problem on a nice day). The evening meal was lovely just could have done with a few more traditional choices for the less adventurous ie burger, pie, lasagne, pizza, fish and chips etc. That said, the food was very tasty and well presented. Food was a mixed bag, neither of us actually liked what we had ordered for dinner, but we swapped our meals with each other and both of us ended up happy and finished them. Breakfast was ok, found the cooked b/fast to be lacking in flavour, and because the table had previously been used and relaid, the milk was empty and it was hard to get the servers attention to replace it. The hotel has a lovely outdoor seating area, which we enjoyed drinks on after a walk along the beach, we also ventured the next day to the national trust site at the far end of the bay. Staff were overall friendly but the arrival welcome was very poor. We were given the key and asked if we needed to be shown to the room or not. When we arrived at the hotel, a coach party had also just arrived so the reception area and coffee shop were a bit crowded, but the guy dealing with the luggage for the coach passengers kindly offered to bring our cases to our room as well, which we were grateful for. Our room was on the 3rd floor (307 I think) and it was compact. There was a double (my mother thought it was bigger than the double she had at home) and a single bed, but if there had been 3 people in the room it would have been a bit of a tight squeeze! Although the metal bed frames gave us some extra storage space for the cases, they did give us some problems because it was easy to stub our toes on the frame. Mum really banged her toes one day and had a lovely bruise to show for it. The room and bathroom were relatively clean when we arrived. I didn't use the shower as I was concerned I would drown the bathroom and get water everywhere - it was basically a shower tray with a curtain. Mum did try it and reported that it was okay but the shower head couldn't be moved, which is what I don't particularly like (but that's my preference). However, mum had requested a walk in shower on the booking form and that's what she got. We had a lovely view of the beach and the pier and overlooked the crazy golf! There are 2 lifts but it's best to allow extra time to get down for meals, etc as they are rather slow. The service lift has 2 doors that you need to pull open and closed yourself, some might find these heavy to move. However it is a bigger lift than the normal lift so guests can get to the bar/reception/dining room more quickly if both lifts are available. There isn't much space outside the dining room to wait so there is no need to arrive on the dot of meal times because you might have to hang around for a few minutes until the staff are ready. There's a good choice on the evening meal menu: mum and I had different things most nights and enjoyed them all. I don't eat cooked breakfast so I found the menu a bit limited in the mornings. However, there is a fantastic view from the dining room window which I think is why it is on the first floor. The waiting staff were pleasant and helpful, despite the way they were spoken to by some of the other guests who decided they didn't want the meal they had chosen when they got it because it wasn't to their liking. Rachel and Linda on reception were lovely and very helpful too. My mum's birthday was on the 4th day of our stay and she made a remark about it being her birthday in passing to Linda when we were handing in the key before heading out. When we got to our table for the evening meal, there was a card and a box of shortbread wrapped up waiting for mum from the staff which we both thought was a thoughtful gesture. The hotel is right on the front, near the pier and Winter Gardens plus if you cut through the shopping centre, it's a short distance to the bus station and a big supermarket. The shopping centre also brings you out on to the main shopping street so that's handy, plus there is a good place to get proper ice cream across the road from the hotel! One downside of the Sandringham is that, unlike other Daish's hotels, there is no lounge to sit in. It would have been nice if there had been a place to sit in comfort and read or relax. It is for this reason, the very slow lifts together with the tight space in our room and around the dining room that I've given the Sandringham 4 stars rather than 5. I think I would stay there again if I ever visit Weston again.

The booking-in experience was chaotic, mis-managed and took over half an hour to resolve whatever issue(s) the staff were experiencing. Eventually, after searching for my room, I opened the door into what I can only describe as an outdated afterthought. The curtains were dirty and missing hooks, the bed was incredibly soft with only one pillow, the tea and coffee making facilities were basic and sadly lacking good, well known brands, the bathroom was small and not overly-clean. I decided to have a drink in the bar before I went out for dinner. Sadly, they had no 'ordinary' gin, only flavoured and they had run out of tonic water. Despite the bed being ridiculously soft, there was very little noise in the room and I had a pretty OK sleep. Breakfast the next day was like something from the Basil Fawlty 'how to' book. I was seated in the restaurant and moved after sitting for five minutes to a different table. I then went to get my breakfast that was buffet style but you could not put your food on your plate yourself instead, you pointed to what you wanted and it was served to your plate. I went back into the restaurant to find, that I had been moved to another table. There wasn't a member of staff to ask, so I sat down and proceeded to tuck into my breakfast. The quality of the food was poor, cash and carry sausages, beans, tinned mushrooms etc. Halfway through my meal, I was asked by another member of staff to move to another table. At this point, I refused and explained why. The restaurant was only 10% occupied at best, so why on earth I had three different tables remains a mystery. Also the hotel itself isn't actually that far away from everything and if your lucky to have one of the front facing rooms, you'll probably get a nice view. So overall a brilliant stay and if my family every come back to Weston super mare, we will hopefully be staying here again but maybe in a different room so I'm not forced to be too close to my dad's snoring. We didn’t let the hotel know when we’d arrive as we didn’t really know. It was a last minute trip as I’d booked something nearby earlier in the day. However when we arrived they were lovely! We were greeted by the owner and he was really ‘normal’ just easy to talk to and easy going. He explained everything re check in and it was great. Bringing the dog cost an additional £10 which was fine. Remote hire is £20 deposit (I assume people pinch them) The room was top floor we were a family of 4. Bunk beds and double bed. Bathroom had a bath with shower over, toilet and basin with brilliant mirror! Views were stunning! So pretty! Entire hotel was clean I didn’t see anything I felt wasn’t clean. I did get a wiff of paint from when I entered at some point in the evening, but I think it was in a locked away room as wasn’t strong and wasn’t in the stairway. Didn’t smell it the next day, but it proves that improvements are going on. We were given a key which fitted our door and the main door, me being me couldn’t get in and dragged my partner down to help only to realise you need to pull the handle harder… so others should be aware, to open a door you are meant to pull a handle 🤦🏻‍♀️ Room was adequate, bathroom looked recently done. Ample toilet paper, soap and towels. - read somewhere linen wasn’t provided.. it was My pet peeve is dirty windows and it’s something I look for, I didn’t find sea side mucky windows they were all really clean! Carpets looked clean and someone had been doing the dusting, even the silk flowers looked fresh and hard to decide if real or not. There was a lift which I didn’t venture in, but my family did.. no complaints. We had no noise, no issues. We met a few doggy guests. But the place did not have a dog smell, which other hotels do. Hot water the entire time didn’t need to wait for it. Water pressure for bath/shower was great! Well stocked bar for your evening tipple and a really nice comfortable bar area. The rooms provided hot drink, tea coffee etc. kettle was clean. Bed side Lamp clean & dust free. Only thing I did notice was the wooden table where the kettle is, has been damaged under the cloth, but it’s wood and water. That is down to poor guests not hotel staff or owners. Hotels cannot be expected to replace everything after each guest. They’d need to charge a lot more to cover that expense. Rest of the furniture was fine. And the water marks are covered. So they might not even be aware it s damaged. There was ample storage if staying longer, a whole full wardrobe with extra bed throw. Bedside table & drawers. Bed throw & matching throw pillows. Decent clean carpet. Black out curtains, which isn’t my preference but definitely my husbands. Safe room which is lockable with a keyless exist. Excellent WiFi! In the morning a breakfast was provided with ample choice. We all had the full English. Which was decent and coined to perfection. They even had earl grey which is not always available. Nothing seemed too much trouble and staff were really on it. Everyone we met were just friendly & the whole 15 hours we had in & around the hotel was lovely. I’d happily recommend this hotel to future guests as it really was just what I wanted & the price was decent especially for the prime location! Left to the pier right to the tidal pool lake thing. Outside of the hotel is fresh & clean with outdoor seating. Dogs are welcome & it really was lovely

(원문) Our first stay here, we did nit realise it was part of the ymca when booking. Not a problem until one of the people in the adjoining building who live in ymca accommodation set off the alarm at 3 50am. All was good thiugh. Our room was at the top and lift out of use so we struggled as we both have arthritis, also a bath no shower which was an issue for the same reason. That said, our room was clean, bed comfy and plenty of tea and coffee choice, milk given to us on check in. Just a few minutes walk to the pier. The host was wonderful and worked her socks off doing everything herself, credit to her ! Breakfast was continental and lots of choice. We will stay again but a room with a view and shower and not at the top.

Great view of the pier & seafront and in the early evening we sat outside drinking tea and watching the sea come in which was a first at Weston for us. Comfortable outdoor table and chairs. Informed by text when room was ready and given access codes. There is a balcony next door and if people were using it you would meet them as the partition isn’t very high this wouldn’t bother us. (원문) Doesn't look much from the outside but beautiful apartments inside. Our only issue with the apartment was that there was no living area. We had a 3 bed with a bathroom and kitchen/diner. It did miss the sofa... especially after a long day out. Apart from that though it was wonderful. It was well decorated, clean and it was quiet. No lift, so if your likely to struggle with suitcases or pushchairs it may not be the place for you.

Our apartment didn't have a lounge, so nowhere to relax, apart from the bedrooms, and minimal kitchen ware.
