Might have just been the location of our room, but a thick smokey smell filled the room at night, from the charcoal burning in the heaters in the bar next door. Room was bright in the mornings (blackout curtains weren't effective). The bathrooms were neat and clean but could use a facelift. Not a huge fan of climbing in a bath to use the shower. Overall a fantastic few days at the hotel. Great location and good value for money FOOD-Breakfast was great. Lots of options, very good scrambled eggs and good bacon for a buffet. Plenty of fresh fruit and yogurts. The restaurant was good with great pizza and good selection of drinks. Didn't get down to the pub (ball and chain) but had live music and looked nice. LOCATION- Fantastic. So close to everything. POOLS- 2 Pools, one was freezing and the other was cool but good. Lots of towels and lovely set up.

We requested a refund at the end of the meal and the waiter was happy to accommodate, but all in all, a huge slide in quality and service standards. Parking was free which was an added bonus and lastly the same staff member (working the morning of the 11/01/25) came and gave our child a little present when leaving . So nice and wasn’t expected! The rooms are exactly what are described when booking, suited my needs perfectly for the week + the extra couple of days that I needed to book in after arriving at the hotel. All staff were super friendly, helpful and accomodating, couldn’t rate them any higher! Were an absolutely fantastic bunch of people and more than happy to help out when needed! Brilliant location in the heart of Fremantle, 5 minute walk to the cbd with restaurants, supermarkets, cafes and restaurants super close by, perfect location to easily explore what the town has to offer and the added restaurant/ bar attached to the hotel is a fantastic bonus. Rooms and facilities were comfortable and user friendly, perfect place to crash after a big day of getting out and about! I was 2 rooms down from the hotel guest in question causing a commotion in the previous review, the hotel manager and staff promptly addressed complaints about this guest once they were made aware of the seriousness of the disturbance to everyone and acted by asking the gentleman to remove himself from the property. The manager handled the situation extremely well and professionally by putting all the hotel guests stay and comfortability as the top priority, couldn’t commend his actions any higher as people can be quite unpredictable and intimidating, so thankyou for looking out for everyone and tackling it head on! Unfortunately all it takes is one spoilt apple to ruin the bunch in any situation or circumstance and I did not see it as a bad reflection on the hotel! The only issue we had was our apartment stunk of cigarette smoke and even though they were quick to try and rectify it with cleaning spray and a couple of bottles of wine to apologise, We stayed for four nights and the smell was still really bad till we left. Overall we enjoyed our stay, the location is great in the centre of Fremantle and Richard, the manager, was very helpful and attentive. However the apartment was lacking some basic essentials that in the age of Airbnb travelers like myself who stay in a lot of different places, come to expect. These being: - a complete, functional kitchen. Overall it was undersupplied like the person who stocked it hasn’t actually cooked in it. There were no paper towels, a lot of basic cooking utensils were missing, a coffee machine but no coffee, no dishwashing liquid. We also found someone’s hairbrush behind the curtain so whoever cleans the place is not very thorough. - Lastly the pool lights were out on the edge of the pool, which being in this type of business, we know this is a safety violation.
