The Villa family opened their restaurant’s doors in 1975 in one of Old Town’s original buildings dating back to 1785. An authentic and comfortable restaurant with welcoming staff and servers. We popped in for an early and quiet dinner before the evening rush. Tasty and well prepared burgers cooked to your liking. A friend whom visited previously says the margaritas are very well prepared. The only disappointment was that the fries weren’t cooked extra crisp by request. We enjoyed the Black n’ Bleu burger & the Green Chile- Cheeseburger. Overall a nice visit to one of Old Town’s time endured establishments.

The food was amazing and the staff and atmosphere were just as wonderful. Went here on a Friday night a few weeks ago. I are reservations ahead of time to avoid a wait but it didn’t sound like it was too bad either way. The atmosphere was very pleasant. For as busy as it was you wouldn’t know it as the area is set up nicely and maintains a fairly quiet noise level. The server was amazing. She not only gave me great service but even wrote me a list of fun things to do in the area. I will definitely be going back here again and highly recommend.
Also according to the manager I spoke to their beef is sourced through local farms in the area and they buy it by the slab with someone staffed to make the cuts. Even better!

My husband and I hadn’t been to Antiquity since before Covid and went last night for our wedding anniversary. The food was spectacular, atmosphere was perfect with having our own little space to be together even though the place was packed (as it should be) and service was top notch. From bread and wine to dessert and coffee we had a fantastic experience. The special salad with candied pecans, bacon, berries and pear vinaigrette was killer! Hands down one of the best culinary experiences I've had. I asked a local for a recommendation and she said this place. They took me without a reservation and sat me immediately. Shawn was my server and he was spectacular. I had the carpaccio to start and it melted in my mouth. They serve it with fired capers and spring mix greens. The salad that came with the entree was fresh and came with the most amazing olive oil blue cheese dressing. The 8oz filet was cooked perfectly rare was like eating meat butter. Just an absolutely perfect experience, that was a total accident. Steve and his staff are top notch. Awesome find.

Absolutely delightful and delicious. It is one to add to your list for sure. I would highly recommend a reservation. Service was great and Steve, who greeted us up on entry was a pleasure! While we stopped in without a reservation and assuming we would not be able to get in, he was able to make it happen! We started with Oysters Rockefeller, followed by two of the specials (veal schnitzel and green Chile tenderloin in an Alfredo sauce), and key lime pie for dessert. It was all amazing and a highlight of our trip!

The service was great. We had the cutest and sweetest waitress. Her name was Faith. My husband and I shared a steak meal. The steak was cooked to perfection. Everything was wonderful. Don't mistake the rating; I will be back to Monte Carlo Steakhouse. I just don't want you thinking it Ruth's Chris. It felt like "Roadhouse". To be on Route 66, right at the Rio Grande, this place HAS to have stories. I was there almost as soon as it opened and was glad to see March Madness on multiple screens. I wanted to try out this Steakhouse long before the days that it ended up on the Food Network shows. It is probably the epitome of a hole in the wall Steakhouse. Excellent steaks, no fuss sides and a very friendly dining staff. You also can't bet the idea that the eclectic decor is authentic and not something fabricated for a chain restaurant. I tried the prime rib special but actually liked the wife's ribeye steak better!

I have gone to the Monte Carlo steak house for well over 2 decades. Today I went and was completely and utterly disappointed! I ordered the surf and turf (steak. Cooked medium) and the wife ordered the burger (rare) and fries. Unfortunately both of our meals arrived cold...nothing worse than cold fries and a cold baked potato except an over cooked (well-done) cold steak and a cold burger cooked to medium instead of rare...no frills just lettuce...no tomatoes, pickles or onions.

Underwhelming. Asked for a ribeye medium well and I'm pretty sure it's a new york strip cut and it's fully cooked and really dry, the Manager did take off the up charge though. Looking at the pictures when ordering online the Cobb salad looked amazing, when it arrived there was barely a layer of lettuce, blue cheese crumbles, some bacon, egg and little chicken ($19). The fried zucchini tasted like just fried breadcrumbs (the zucchini is so thin). The carne asada potato skins were ok. Tried this place out for the 1st time because we wanted to try a new restaurant. The ambience is chill and relaxing. This is a great place to have a date night. They offer wine (pretty big selection) and cocktails. They had a pretty good selection on their menu and the waiter let us.know that it does change dependent on the season. We liked that because we can have different options when we go again. I usually get a picture of the menu to post, however, if it changes it would be worthless so just go and find out. I do recommend giving this place a try. The food was absolutely wonderful! I had the Cowboy Rib eye with Marrow and my wife had the fettuccine with lamb. Let me tell you, they don't skimp on the portions. Yes the dishes can be a bit pricey BUT we had left overs for 2 meals after so I would say it's worth it. We would go back and order the same thing because it was so good. Seasoning was on point and presentation was great. Every employee we encountered was very welcoming. Our waiter was very knowledgeable about the menu and offered recommendations when asked. I can say we will definitely return and are eager to try some of their other options and we have also recommended family members to go as well. The restaurant is kind of hidden but so glad we discovered it. It's located across the street from Old Town so you can probably walk across the street for a stroll or some shopping after. Roll by and try it out for yourselves. I recommend giving them a call if possible to make a reservation because the restaurant isn't that big so there could be a wait.

Looking for a GREAT place to eat? Head to Seared. Just had a dinner that was absolutely magical. We stparted with duck confidence egg rolls. There were full of delicious shreds of tender duck, accompanied by a green chile oil that was out of this world. Next course, a cream of mushroom soup. It was super rich, super thick and full of mushrooms. We ordered The Farm, which was a plate of lamb, duck and ell tenderloin. The elk was so tender, It literally melted in my mouth. The red chile demi-glace was so delicious! The plate was served with sweet potatoes and bacon and pomegranate. I could hqve eaten an entire bathtub full of those sweet potatoes. My husband ordered the special, beef wellington. The pastry was crisp, the mushroom tempanade waa divines! Definitely gives Gordon Ramaey a run for his moneu! We also ordered mashed potatoes and green chile risotto. Desert...German chocolate cake. It was so moist and the slice was huge. Needless to say, we had plenty of leftovers. The wine list is plentiful and the chocolate martini literally tasted like a chocolate milkshake. One of the absolute best meals ever! Thank you Seared. Our server waa Ramon and he GREAT! Went for the beef Wellington special they have every last weekend of the month. It was totally worth the trip. We also got the stuffed squash blossoms appetizer and 14 oz cowboy ribeye served with a marrow bone. Which were all delicious. For dessert we chose the deconstructed pecan cobbler, which in my opinion was not that good. The texture of the pecans seemed wrong, like they were raw and soaked in bourbon.

Seared Bistro is one one those restaurants where you arrive and go "wait, is this the right place?" Located in what I would describe as the remains is a 90s strip mall, located south of Central, you would now expect the quality of food from such an unassuming location.
The charcuterie was next level and my beef filet was very tasty, however as a mild nitpick, for the price the plating left something to be desired.
For better or worse we only ever saw our server a couple times, and the room itself had a musky smell I couldn't place.
All in all the food was great, the location quirky but comfortable and the servers a bit harder to find than I'd have liked. Stop in and check it out sometime.

7/25/25- This was my first time dining at this restaurant. What a find! The staff was friendly, attentive, and professional. The atmosphere was warm, inviting, and clean. There was plenty of parking in front of the restaurant and to the side. The menu had a wide it range of options including some vegetarian. It was hard to decide. Our table had ordered an appetizer of deep fried asparagus, the salmon and filet oscar for the entree. It was absolutely fantastic! I will likely order the salmon next time. The salads we're delicious and fresh. The meal was so good we could not possibly leave without trying a dessert, the german chocolate cake. This restaurant comes highly recommended and I will look forward to eating here again.
9/6/25- Sat in the bar area and it greatly added to our experience. Our bartender Jacob made excellent drinks and was one of the best weight servers I have ever experienced. The food was excellent, the atmosphere was inviting, the staff was friendly and professional, and the restaurant clean. I highly recommend this restaurant!

The porterhouse pork chop was very good with a portion larger than I can eat in one sitting. The vegetables swimming in onion ju was off putting. I prefer my vegetables so I can tell what they are, not hidden under a lake of brown juice. When I would cut a piece of meat, it would disappear in the lake of juice. This place was freaking amazing! The waiter Christopher was so knowledgeable & knew what wines to pair with what foods. He even brought out a Falanghi, Fuedi Di San Gregorio which was different wine for me to sample & it was perfect for me. I had the Farm, which was Duck, Lamb & Pork Belly, while Gerald had a Cowboy Ribeye. I have never had a poached pear simmered in Brandy for 4 hours with a scoop of ice cream, paired with a Chateau Laribotte before. At first the wine is sweet, but after your take a bite of pear & ice cream the wine is tart. Seared Bistro also gives you sherbet & a personalized birthday card for your birthday.
This place is a must try!

I came here because all the good reviews on fb and google, my friends warned me about this place but didn't want to believe them. Service was superb since arrival, amosphere was ok, very loud for such a small place. All the food looked so delicious but unfortunately was extremely salty to the point we couldnt eat it and took all home to try to fix it, we werent the only one who thought this since we heard the other tables making the same comments...Weird enough none of us told the server or manager. Will never come back to this place, way too expensive to get inedible food.

Interior is kinda out of date, but has that old diner feel.
The service was great, and the food came out quickly.
I was happy with the taste of the food. Kinda felt that the enchiladas were overlooked though. Seemed like they were just filled with a little cheese.

This lovely little restaurant has existed for decades for a very good reason. Their food is simply divine! I have been coming here ever since I was a young pup, and have made some good memories here over a wonderful meal. The atmosphere is cozy and quaint, like any good little dive joint you might come across on your journeys.
The menu is varied and offers a little bit of everything: New Mexican, American and more. It's hard to pick a favorite dish for me. One dish that stood out in particular for me was the Mexican Polish Sausage entrée, which I highly recommend.

This place is a classic Route 66 place that has been an Albuquerque for years. They serve a variety of food choices from everything New Mexican to steak and Greek. They are old school on their plates. Their cheese enchiladas are my favorite. Definitely check out The Grill on San Mateo. I just can't say enough about it..My hubby really wanted some of their fried mushrooms we had seen in a review. They didn't disappoint, and neither did the rest of the food. We followed the stars, once we figured it out, to order at the counter. After ordering we went to get our drinks and were told we could pick up chips and salsa, before sitting down, so we did. The mushrooms we're brought out to us at our table and were absolutely amazing. We had to go to the counter to pick up our burgers, and prepare them as we liked at the fixing station. Burgers were sure tasty, as were the fries. The cooking is done over a large charcoal grill. Can't beat that flavor. I actually got to go back and see the grill where they cooked. The place was busy. Everyone was so happy and helpful. Seemed like just good down to earth people. It was great to see. I missed the guys posing when I took the pictures. They definitely have two new customers. We want to try a steak next time. We could smell them cooking when we were there and they looked wonderful. Oh, and on a Wednesday night, there was live music. Wish we had had more time to enjoy it. For those that prefer a natural landscape, Embers highlights the natural beauty of Isleta with rooftop seating options. This was the first time for us going to Vernon's speakeasy, as I've lived in this town for 6 years and have not gone there, yet they're only a mile and a half away from my house. I took this occasion for my significant others birthday as he's never been there to dine in. The entire experience was elevating! The staff.. absolutely astonishingly wonderful! Everyone was very attentive, the atmosphere and ambience was superb! Now on to the food.. my boyfriend got the elk filet and I got the salmon. The elk was seasoned in the most beautiful way and it was so tender that it was like butter! Every dish that we had from our appetizers, to the complimentary birthday cake which was carefully crafted and handmade by the pastry chef, absolutely incredible! Our taste buds were in heaven!! There was music being played live, and I really loved the door man! He was a hoot!

Before you are allowed to enter the restaurant there is someone at the door that asks you what is your password you received, and the time of your reservation. Then the man behind door is keeping everything in order (Babe Ruth) style (lol). Then he opens the door and someone is there to greet you and walk you to your table. The scenery is elegant, private section for each guest, the customer service is superb and the food is great. I will be returning soon.

The atmosphere and ambience were great. Very romantic setting. The food was excellent and I had a great wine pairing that made it exquisite. But nothing topped the service. Our sever was very knowledgeable in everything they had. His team made sure we were well taken care of and enjoyed every minute of the evening. Fully recommend this experience and I will return many many more times.
