Staff was really welcoming, let them know I came from Youngstown around 2.5 hour drive to play with my buddy and was his birthday and they were awesome. Carts are fantastic, love not having to use a range finder when playing due to the incredible break down of the hole and even the green reading map gps in cart. I will 100% be back as soon as possible. This course is definitely not easy, lots of water and great bunker placement as well. If you have not been, it is a MUST PLAY course in Ohio.

Could not recommend enough! The location is stunning. We loved having the ceremony outside with the pergola behind us and you can see the lake. We initially worked with Lisa who went to a different venue, and we had loved Lisa so Keri had big shoes to fill :) But she did it with ease! Challenge came from hazards mainly all the trees. In depth review This course is one six public courses in Columbus. As someone from Northeast Ohio, Summit county specifically, I’ve realized just how spoiled we are with quality public courses. However, I will say, Champions gives some of the best courses in our area a run for their money. This course offers some significantly challenging holes while complementing the difficulty with some truly stunning views. While this course didn’t have much water there were a fair amount of trees and sand bunkers. Most of the courses played on downhill slopes. There were also several doglegs that presented opportunities to go off the tee with clubs other than driver. On course play alone I would recommend champions but they also come equipped with a newly renovated clubhouse, patio, driving range, and chipping and putting green. The clubhouse staff were cordial but not overlay friendly. Thea starter gave great tips and explanations for the cart path rules. Recommendations to the course staff: The only issue I had with the course was that they had 2 holes with grounds under repair that took up about 30 yards of the fairway. But they did provide signs that let you know how far to get to that area and how far to clear. My issue was that they just hosted the USGA Junior tournament and that had to be an issue for those players.Also, I don’t think that any course should be charging the full amount while there’s major repairs going on. If I don’t get the full experience then there should be some sort of discount. That’s just my humble opinion. This is more common practice at courses in northeast Ohio. Overall: I would go back to see the course fully repaired and hope there isn’t a ton wind.

The few times I've gotten lucky and played the front with minimal waiting, the course ended up squeezing new foursomes between groups off the back nine which causes a complete log jam. This has happened multiple times. The price is absurd considering the condition of the course and how boring the layout is. Most holes are flat and dead straight with parallel holes running next to them. The greens always have dozens of unfixed pitch marks. The only reason they can charge the prices they do is their location and lack of public courses inside of 270. They even charge full price when the greens aren't even playable (see photo of a literal lake on one of the greens.) It would have been nice to be told the course was in this condition when I was in the pro shop. The range they have is irons only and nothing like hitting off a fairway. If you are looking for a public course around Columbus that has better conditions and is much better value, I'd recommend The Ridge, Darby Creek, Mentel Memorial, or Champions over Raymond Memorial. Update 8/2023: Course is still terribly managed. Played on a Saturday afternoon and the round took 6 hours.

Are we serious? You’re going to make me pay $53 for this pathetic course, then try to overcharge me for a hot dog???? I then went to the pro shop to ask if the back 9 is any nicer. They said no and that their irrigation system was broke for 3 weeks, so that’s why it was dried out. Bull crap. 3 weeks wouldn’t do this to a course. Don’t even get me started on the sand traps.
