This was the first place we looked at for a venue and it was absolutely stunning, we had no doubts at all about having our wedding at The Monastery. Working with Chloe over the year prior we felt that the team worked with us to help make our day what we wanted rather than a fixed checklist. One of a small number of old industrial powerhouse buildings still standing. Has been re-purposed into a multi events venue. The team have done a great job in preserving some of the charm of the old building. Most of the action seems to happen in the ground and lower ground floors.... not sure what (if anything) is in the upper floors. The venue is a nice space. Fine to walk around, good large toilets and pretty fresh for a century year old building. Nice to see these types of things preserved. Being an older building it's not quite as accessible as newer constructions. Entrance a bit tight and some pinch points around. Also the location is a bit far from most things, and a little walk from the tram stop. No much car parking around that area either Worth a visit if an event on you are keen to see.

We had our ceremony in the Brindley room, drinks reception on the balcony and our wedding breakfast and evening party in the Merchant room. (원문) The venue is a really lovely place and attended for a 65th birthday party which was excellent. We were met warmly with the receptionist and she showed us to our room. The room was very impressive. At the end of the event, a member of staff, named Nathan, remained until us stragglers got a move on and he remained friendly and courteous. A credit to staff who overall were really lovely and ensured everything went smoothly for Maria and guests. Tired by the night's event, ready for shower and bed. Liam, our host for the night, was exceptional from bring the vibes from the very beginning of the night while decorating all the way until the end of the night. Helena was amazing in helping to organise the event up to the day. Any events coming up I will definitely be hosting here, and recommending to everyone I know. There was around 15 of us. We were taken to the upstairs bar, which we had to ourselves, and our host with the most was Calun. It was a brilliant afternoon, with plenty of cocktails made and drunk, silly games, some which involved chilli vodka shots if you weren't quick enough to respond. We all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, and the plates of nachos with all the trimmings were a surprise and welcome bonus to soak up some of the alcohol consumed. Our host Calun was absolutely brilliant. He was funny, knowledgeable, at times very patient (15 drunk women to deal with!!!), and he made the whole experience very enjoyable, so thank you very much 😁

Its the first time here and didnt know what to expect. I would go again and recommend to others. The only down side is, its quite pricey. The afternoon tea was a xmas present that Ive just got round to using.
