The energy of the whole venue was next level; the servers were all enthusiascally polite, the owner, Finn, was such an engaging personality, it became clear to me how and why he made such a success of his restaurant!!! He is THE man and his chef and staff are a reflection of his discerning taste. Everything, from the decor, glasses, dishes, etc. was impeccable 👌. (원문) We had spent nearly 3 hours driving to Bendigo for a Saturday meeting. It was late by the time we finished and we were both hungry and in need of lunch. A quick Google search showed that this place was still open though it was just before 3:00pm. Too many places stop serving lunch by 2:00pm. We dropped by and were welcomed. We opted for the 2 course lunch menu with a glass of excellent Coonawarra Cabernet Merlot (included). The prawns and steak tartare were excellent and we shared it. The steak was divine and cooked to perfection. I enjoyed the home made béarnaise though the steak was so good that it wasn’t needed. My husband enjoyed his home made chimichurri sauce. We were too full to have dessert. We will definitely be back next time we visit Bendigo.

The food - we chose a set menu - dumplings, pork belly, porterhouse and Asian greens. I will say the meals were amazing. Flavoursome, cooked to perfection. Vege dumpling and prawn dumpling arrived shortly after drinks, soft and well flavoured- a great start. Pork Belly was timed well to arrive - this dish was well thought out - and perfectly balanced. A rare steak done rare - although 40 min after the other two courses was a disappointment. Minor improvement would be to have enough sauce to cater for the steak, flavour combination was well matched though - tender juice of steak combined with crunch of Asian greens combined well.
