We ordered sort of a Palak paneer, malai kofta, cheese chilli naan, 2 butter naan and mango lassi, I liked the mango lassi and cheese chilli naan it was yummy 😋, but rest of the food were different in taste , in Palak paneer the gravy was not cooked properly, as it has to taste like rich and flavourful but it was not. And in malai kofta the koftas were good but the gravy was something like undercook or what the taste was bland. And I want to quote here that the first butter naan was not fresh in taste and it was cold, hard to chew and the second butter naan was fresh and soft , it was yellow in colour, I think they added the colour into it, but colour was not issue but the taste was. Not authentic at all and does not match the descriptions on the menu. The prawn Konkani was described as a blend of tang and spice but was super sweet and tasted like it was covered in sugar syrup and made for 5 year olds. Tandoori salmon had no tandoor flavour at all. Even when requested, all dishes lacked authentic spice and were too sweet and bland. There are much better Indian restaurants around - we will definitely not be returning or recommending to anyone. We were wondering why a place that used to be hard to get into was half empty on a Saturday evening. After having their food we could see why.

The quality of papdums they used was good too - not the poor quality thick ones often found in NZ. The yogurt dip with cucumbers served with the dish was very satisfying. The place is located in the Sandringham stretch of shops, and thus parking is a bit of a pain to find close by. It isn't a problem if one is willing to walk for 5 mins. The guy running the restaurant - Sammy (spelling?) - is very involved with the place, and ensures that everything is in order. He is friendly, gave good suggestions based on what I wanted, and was a pleasure to interact with.
