The moment we walked in, we were greeted by 2 friendly people in the clubhouse and we had a nice chat about the course and facilities (driving range, restaurant etc). We then went in for lunch before the round (we were about 15mins before it opned, but the amazing server sat us down and got us a drink while the kitchen got ready to open. Food was perfect, an amazing clubhouse sandwhich! We then wenbt to the driving range and forgot our ball ticket codes, but another employee saw us right away and zoomed back to get us some! We played the desert course which has amazing views, a couple blind shots, and some wide open fairways. A good mix of a little bit of a challenge and straightforward shots. (I didnt find it that hard as some people have said, and I'm a 28 handicap!). Course is in great shape, with very fast greens! Make sure you respect the signs to stay out of the enviromentally sensitive areas. Was an amazing experience from start to finish. Worst pace of play I have experienced, especially brutal in the heat. For what was charged for green fees I expected much better. On total the round played over 5 hours. They mentioned that they had a big storm pass through and the range nets came down, so only could hit irons about 200 - no drivers at the range, but totally understandable. Had a couple fallen limbs of trees and branches on the course, but again, not a big deal and I'm sure they'll have it cleaned up by next year.
