Once eventually settled in the ATVs, we took off with no time to waste and drove around the beautiful island and through amazing trails. Although the trails were pretty rocky and steep, the ATVs can handle a lot and I had so much fun navigating everything. The views were even better, especially as we were heading up Mt Popoti which offers a 360 view of Bora Bora! Toiki was very informative about the island's history and why things can be so expensive (hint: imports!). His energy was contagious which made the entire experience even better. He also took us to his family home where I met his amazing mom (or mother in law?) and was able to explore the beautiful grounds, which included a sacred marae and gorgeous views of the area.
