Interesting piece of Seppeltsfield history. The view is pretty good, although you can get good view from the road nearby as well. As someone with mobility issues it was very hard going as it is a steep walk. It would have been good if they could at least, at a minimum, put a rail for the steps at the start, or even better a rail all the way up. Certainly not accessible for those in wheelchairs. Probably best only to bother if you are able to easily get up steep paths and not worth the effort otherwise. They have a car park there that fits plenty of cars so parking is not a problem. You can see all the way up from there so it is worth driving to at least.

Nothing really to do. Interesting place but you will need to read more about the family to appreciate their role. Has a 15 degree gradient to walk up to the mausoleum, for not much else other than the view. Definitely not for the less mobile to get up and down. Worth a visit for the rows of palm trees along the road

As an area of faith and belief, the mausoleum was fantastic. The grandeur of the crypt is obvious, even before getting there. The road to it is lined with palms and gives it an air of importance.
It's a steep path leading up to it, so don't carry anything heavy!

This mausoleum has been left to rot with the grounds and building allowed to run down. Like the palm trees lining the road, the building is part of the areas history which richly deserves preservation. The building is on a steep hill and will require a good level of health to climb.

Lovely winery with a large back deck and lawn overlooking the vineyards. Our tasting was informative and while nothing stood out it was a lovely experience. There was a food truck o site too was not open when we visited which was too bad because we were both hungry 😋

We made it a point to visit while in Adelaide, because we started our wine journey with wines with Two Hands and it felt special for us! Ariel led us through our wine tasting and she backed up with some history and fun facts of each wine - it was great! Our fav was Ares, two hands down ;) Thanks Ariel! We had kids with us and they gifted them with little activity goodie bags which was really thoughtful and welcoming.

Had a wonderful time at two hands wines. Dropped by for a walk in tasting on a Thursday afternoon. I went with the pride & place tasting flight which included a range of 6 wines.

I recently visited Two Hands with a precious guest. He was very happy to come to the two hands winery in person because he had experienced two hands in Korea.

Easily the best cellar door we visited during 5 days in South Australia. McLaren Vale, Adelaide Hills and the Barossa, this experience was the best. A huge thanks to Nicholas who looked after us, even with an 18month old boy he made us feel welcome and at home. Took time to discuss the wines in detail, answer our questions and share his knowledge.

My wife and I visited SRD on New Years Eve 2024 and were warmly greeted by the team, especially Aiden who gave us really good insight about the history of SRD and their story.
We sampled the Bold Botantical Gin flight. The Savoury Allsorts was very unique and would highly recommend. The Navy Strength was awesome, too, but the Barrel Aged Shiraz Gin was just next level! No wonder it won them 99/100 at the international Gin festival. Well deserved.
Absolutely worth a visit whilst you're in the Barossa and need a little break from the wine!

With the tasting flight, there was a run through & introduction to Seppeltsfield’s bold botanical options, describing the overall tasting notes as well as paring options. I enjoyed the experience as well as the gin, that I left with a bottle of my own. Would definitely drop by for a visit!

We visited the winery for wine tasting on a Monday. Interestingly it was completely empty and felt like we had the winery all to ourselves. The explanation provided by the employee there was detailed and helpful. The cheese in the sides platter requires a separate mention. I would say it is a one time experience.

I recently visited Barossa Valley State for a winetasting and had a wonderful experience. While the restaurant wasn't overly crowded, I found the food prices to be slightly higher than expected with limited menu options.

I visited this winery more for the beautiful gardens. And beautiful the whole place is.
Including the award winning Rose wine, which was a steal at $8 a glass. I bought a couple of bottles.
We sat on a table nestled privately overlooking the lovely gardens. Some people around were eating a fabulous looking platter, but we had just had brunch. I will go back next time for it though.

Our best wine tasting in Australia! We knew Tscharke wines from a tasting in Germany many years ago and wanted to have a look at the winery. We were greeted by Conny, fellow German, who made us feel very welcome. She told us a lot about the history, the production and the wines. We had a very special tasting! Conny took us around and even introduced us to Damian and Liam. The location is awesome (beautiful decorated, nice garden area) as are the wines. We enjoyed every minute and would definitely recommend visiting and tasting!!

It was only the 3 of us there for our tasting, and because of this it felt like a very personal experience. Not only was the wine tasting exceptional, but the atmosphere of the little house/wine tasting room was unparalleled. What fascinated me the most was the certified organic nature of the wines themselves, and the story's that make them. I couldn't recommend our time here more highly. (I might also be the best kept secret in the Barossa - as it’s not listed on tourism experience websites and so I only heard about it from a friend). Wow am I pleased we visited the cellar door on December 27. The customer service was amazing. The place so tastefully and meticulously designed and decorated - like something out of Harry Potter. We were allowed to wander downstairs to the incredibly majestic underground cellar and stroll through the attic past some beautiful artwork before heading to the bar for some wine tasting. We were allowed to sit outside to taste with the most peaceful and calming setting in the valley A looking across the hills and vineyards, it didn’t feel at hot as it does at other wineries in the area. Although I am torn when I think back to the experience as next time I might sit at the bar to absorb all the incredible knowledge of the staff. All delicious wines, I usually try to buy only 1 bottle at each winery that I visit just for the memory, but here I couldn’t resist - I bought 4. Thank you Tscharke’s!! Great memories.

What a stunning winery. Tscharke Wines is worth a visit just for the beautiful cellar door. The excellent wines are just a bonus. The cellar door features an amazing vaulted ceiling, with a beautiful upstairs gallery where you can sit with a bottle or two of their finest and soak in the atmosphere.
Then there is Tscharke's hidden treasure; an amazing underground cellar. Visually stunning, you can book a special tasting of their flagship wines in this space, and I'd love to do that one day.
We sat for a standard tasting and enjoyed their selection of six excellent wines. I particularly liked their Stone Well Grenache and Project Mataro, but their other reds, rosé and a couple of whites were also very good. This place should definitely be on your next Barossa Valley itinerary!

This is a nice little family owned winery, a must visit when you are travelling with children! Something I was surprised with, is that the toilets were very clean and equipped with a baby change table and shower! Fantastic wines, lovely knowledgeable host (Jen). We did the $15 tasting experience but Jen snuck in a couple of extras as they happened to be open and she was feeling generous. Was great to compare wines from different blocks and regions. Really appreciated being snuck inside with the doggos when other visitors left as it was super chilly on the verandah. The dogs were very grateful too (see pic). We purchased a few wines that we will save for special occasions.

We were able to see the back end and insides of the beautifully restored instrument. The huge Barossa Valley quilt and stories of WWI soldiers are fascinating. A must-see in Tanunda.

As one of the owner/operators of Ambler Touring, I love taking our guests into this very special gallery that houses the magnificent Hill and Son Grand Organ that was originally built and housed in the Adelaide Town Hall. It is a magnificent instrument and a wonderful group of volunteers showcase its beauty and sound each Wednesday between 11.30am & 12.15pm. It is open to view during normal gallery open hours (you just won't get to hear it!) The gallery hosts some beautiful exhibitions but also has some extraordinary works on permanent display. OMG, what a find, we went to a concert at Seppeltsfield Winery, and this was the perfect location. The cottage was a mix of modern and rustic, so pretty, the facilities were great, lots of space, and in a quiet location, where all you could hear were birds.
We stumbled on these cottages by accident, solely due to it's proximity to the concert, but will definitely return again. Thanks again for saving us when we had nowhere to stay.

Have stayed here when the main building was a B&B which was fantastic but has now been converted to a cellar door for Greenock Creek Wines and is absolutely perfect for this experience. The beautiful interior is roomy and has a vintage feel with lots of history. Service was professional and very friendly and the wines were beautiful.

Lovely visit. This place was the biggest winery in the Barossa valley. The staff was able to accommodate us for a nice tasting session. We learned a lot interest facts about wine and grapes in this region. Not normally a fan of wine but I found some wine I liked here. The cellar was also a bit of a museum. Lovely team members here helped us through everything. The front of the building faces the valley plain which boasts a superb view!

About an hour's drive from Adelaide, this vineyard is great for wine lovers and even if you are not, you can head over for a detailed explanation on how wines are made and have a wine tasting experience.
What I liked about this Chateau was that during the class where they shared about their wines, every attempt was made to help you appreciate their products, and they even provided coloured notes for you to keep, after their guided tour.

This is absolutely stunning!!!! A must see if you’re in the Barossa. The chateau is beautiful… the hounds are stunning… and the cellar door is opulent.
We opted for a tasting and our host Rachel was fabulous… she explained the wines in detail and gave us a history of the chateau which was fascinating. You absolutely must put this on your list to visit in the Barossa, there are a lot of “commercial” wineries in the Barossa, but this one was an absolute standout for us. Great service and amazing overall experience.

We made a quick stop here and opted for the Explorer Tasting. The staff member looking after us was incredibly generous, expanding the experience to include sparkling, several Shiraz and port options, and even some whites. While the overall style wasn’t exactly to my taste, we did find a couple of reds and a port we really enjoyed and took a bottle or two home. The premises are impressive, and the staff are both knowledgeable and welcoming. Definitely worth a visit.

I highly recommend Hentley Farm winery, one of the better Cellar tasting in the Barossa, you need to book your tasting weeks ahead as they are always busy.
You decide what level of wine you want to try and get comfortable in the original 1850s restored cottage with cheeses, olives, breads and snacks to have while you go through a very good wine selection.
Shirley was our host for the afternoon and she is so passionate and knowledgeable its quite infectious. We tried and bought some of the best wines we have had in a very long time.
If your heading to Adelaide make sure you try to book a tasting at Hentley Farm it's well worth the effort.

Incredible lunch with paired wine experience on Friday. We reserved months ahead of time for 6 of us, and staff were accommodating of multiple dietary restrictions (veg, seafood allergy, no coriander preference).
Exceptional level of service from everyone. All of the food was standout from the fresh vegetables with unreal miso dip (I wish I could buy it in a jar) to the insanely flavoursome broth dish, beef cheeks and dessert, we truly couldn’t pick a favourite as it was all incredible. A couple of us did the wine pairing which I highly recommend as it paired beautifully with the meal.
Highly recommend booking if you are looking for an incredible meal, great wine and fabulous service.

You need to book a slot and allow a couple of hours. Our host (Annie I think - apologies, terrible with names) was so accommodating, personable and knowledgeable. She was very attentive but also gave us time and space to enjoy each tasting and the beautiful snacks that were provided.
The grounds and buildings are something to be admired in themselves! If you only do one tasting while in the Barossa - make it a Hentley Farm tasting!

The wine tasting experience and service was exceptional! We arrived on a quiet Tuesday a couple hours early and the staff were more than accomodating to take us in early. The ambience and decor are wonderful inside with the sound of sparrows chirping outside. This Winery was so good, it ruined it for all the others! Small, intimate winery made traditionally meant every type was smooth, easy to drink, and just delicious. You can absolutely taste the difference between Rockford Wines and other local mass-produced wines. A MUST STOP winery in the Barossa.
Absolutely fantastic, unique and wonderful winery. Kris ran us through a free tasting of their 10 wines. She did a fantastic job and was very knowledgeable, friendly and kind.
The winery itself was beautiful, we were there in May so couldn’t see everything functioning. However, come from on Feb-April and you will see it all in full working order. It’s incredible. The old buildings and autum leaves were INCREIDBLE.
All their wine was delicious and we ended up buying a few bottles!

Had a wine tasting and lovely picnic out on the spacious lawn next to the vines. We had a table with umbrella although there are picnic mats available too if that is what you’d prefer.
Wines were delicious (Shiraz/ Syrah).
The lady serving us was friendly, helpful, engaging and so knowledgeable.
Beautiful cheese and charcuterie plate (for 2 pax) as per my picture. Went really well with our wines.

I lost track of time and didn't realise that some cellar doors are closed as in the case with St Hallett. Nishi who was finishing up at that time, warmly welcomed us with a smile and allowed me to do some wine tasting and happily so. She was informative and obviously enjoy interacting in her job. We’re not wine experts but Val spent the time giving us generous tastings of their whole range, and explaining their range, which was a wonderful experience.

What a lovely wine tasting experience we had at Sieber Wine with our charming hostess and owner Val. The extensive vineyards are about an hours drive from Adelaide and well worth it. Val took us through the vineyards extensive selection with a generous pour! My unusual favourite was the Piper Lili Viognier, which was going to be an excellent pairing with our Tasmanian cheeseboards. The Ernest Shiraz and GSM were stars although we enjoyed most of them. The ability to cellar the reds for a while was a bonus. I found the prices very reasonable after coming from Coonawarra wine region, but don’t let that deter you wine snobs! We had the absolute best experience at Sieber Wines! We were lucky enough to have Val Sieber herself as our host, and what a treat that was. The cellar door is right in her home, which makes it feel so personal and welcoming — you can really tell this is a family-run winery with so much heart.

I'm so glad we got to visit as Val is an absolutely lovely lady who oozes charm and treats you like an old friend whom she hasn't seen for a long time. We were lucky as we were the only ones there and so it was a very intimate tastings experience. She explained the background stories of each of their wines as you tasted them. As well as, a bit of the overall history of the vineyard. The wines themselves are all amazing and varied - the Ernest Shiraz stands out, but so do they ALL! We got help from the local tourist information centre, who were absolutely great, and booked a mini tour buss of the different types of wineries ,you can't go to all of them there's several hundred and it was fantastic fun. But! We also went to cheese factories, Gin distillers, Magge Beers, Dried fruits and so many more.
The tourist information centre was able to book us into all sorts of special events as well, as an example a tea and cheese matching tasting at the Barrossa Valley Cheese Company & more.
There's many types of Stay Facility available as well, from luxury to look after yourself units with full facilities.
Great place, nice people, amazing wines, excellent food and I'm picky when it comes to food.

Steve, who made the whole experience feel personal and inviting. I was referred by another local cellar who highly recommended Heritage for their exceptional Malbec and they weren’t wrong.
The wine was absolutely beautiful smooth, unique. The grapes tasted so fresh and fruity, with just the right balance. Not too acidic, not too dry just pure, aromatic elegance in every sip. You can really tell there’s care and craft behind it.

I have been a customer of Corroboree Dream Art Tanunda for some years now and have found both items I purchased and the customer service of a very high standard. The owner knows her stuff and makes every effort to fully explain the significance of the various artworks and items she sells. I fully appreciate the artwork must be treated in a respectful manner so to honour the artist. Accordingly, I have always followed her request on how to view the artwork and ensure it is not damaged. I have found such request to be both reasonable and easier to follow.
I would recommend this small business to any buyer who is interested in genuine Aboriginal art and prepared to respect the artists.

Could not recommend Schubert any more! Alison took 6 star care of us, she was amazing. The house was modern with a gorgeous farmhouse design, we loved that each bedroom was spacious and had its own ensuite. The in house dinner was such a brilliant way to celebrate kicking off our wine weekend & the chefs from Fino and Appellation were just so outstanding. The food and service was great.
We also drank so much of the Schubert estate wine. Overall we all said we would book again at the same house as it was great.
Don’t hesitate to book this- just do it!

Tasting with The Cutting was a truly memorable experience. Belinda was an absolute delight—so knowledgeable and welcoming. We loved chatting wine with her and learning about the incredible journey she and her family have taken to build their label. The Shiraz and Grenache were both exceptional, showcasing depth and elegance. We were especially drawn to their passion for Cinsault; bringing a straight varietal to the Valley adds a beautiful, lighter expression that clearly resonates—selling out almost immediately on release. We were lucky enough to secure some of the last couple of bottles.

This was our last stop on a day of wine tasting and an absolutely perfect finish to the day. Tom was very down to earth, and it was great to get the wine maker's personal perspective. The wines themselves were the best we'd had all day, and the best I've personally had in the Barossa! It was a very informal process, lots of banter, and great chats, and the final touch of tasting from the barrels and vats just topped it off. 27/10 must visit!

An absolute hidden gem in the heart of Barossa.
Chanced upon Curator Wine Co when we were staying in CABN- Chloe (located on the vineyard).
Of all the wine tastings we did at the Barossa valley, this was by far the most personal and enjoyable. It was so enjoyable that we went twice and brought two other friends along the second time. The wine tasting was done by the wine maker himself (Thomas White) and it was an absolute privilege to hear a passion-forward introduction to a boutique vineyard. The stories of his work and thought processes behind the scenes was my favourite part and they were so inspiring that I found wondering if I could be part of the winemaking experience myself on his vineyard (next vintage maybe?).
Besides tasting the current vintage releases, it was the most amazing experience when Tom brought us directly to his workspace where we sampled wine directly from the barrels that were still being aged.
A common theme of the wines at Curator Wine Co was how perfumed it was on the nose, how rich the flavours were on the palate and how smooth the finish was, without the "reflux burn"(if you get what I mean). We were pleasantly surprised to know that the bottles were 14.5% - 15% alcohol percentage because of how easy to drink the wines were.
Through our conversations, we were glad to know that Tom had plans to export his wines into Singapore. We cannot wait and will definitely be on a lookout for Curator Wine Co when it arrives in Singapore.

We just visited Curator Wine Co during our very short visit in the Barossa Valley. We came across their Cab Sav from our local bottleshop in Maroubra Beach after searching high and low for a good quality Cab Sav from Barossa Valley corked bottle. I went to a conference in Adelaide and couldn't resist making time. Tom was very accommodating and made time for us to meet them and taste their great wines.
