한국인을 위해 공유한다. 캔디에서 사실 보고 경험할 만한 것이 많이 없기에 툭툭 대절해서 다녀왔다. 배낭여행객 입장에서는 입장료가 너무 비쌌다.2025.7.3. 부가세가 무려18% 포함해서 3540(한화 16,000)이고 천천히 둘러보는데 2시간여 걸렸고 평일이여서 한적해서 그나마 좋았다. 스리랑카에서 의외로 단체 여행 중국인들이 많다. 때문에 중국인들 주변은 항상 번잡하고 시끄럽다. 캔디에서 몇 일 쉬는 여행객이라면 가볼 만한 곳이지만 하루정도 머물고 다른 곳으로 이동하는 한국인은 굳이 안가도 될 수준.

스리랑카 캔디 근처 페라데이아에 위치한 식물원으로 초기 영국에 의해 세워졌으나 지금은 왕립 식물원이라고 합니다. 다양한 열대 식물을 볼 수 있어 좋은 경험을 했습니다. 대부분 평지고 큰 나무그늘이 있어 산책하기 좋은 곳입니다. 스리랑카 젊은 연인들 데이트 장소로도 유명합니다.

2023.08.30 이런 저런 이유로 식물원 내부의 기념품점에서 시간을 보냈습니다. 다음에 시간 여유를 갖고 식물원 관람도 코끼리열차(?) 타고 해보고 싶습니다. 기념품 점에서 산 옷도 열심히 입고 있으며 팬던트도 잘 사용하고 있습니다.
