(원문) Hard to know where to begin with a place like this. From the first glimpses of the cove on the approach to the views from the limestone pavement at the top, every step is a feast for the senses. Before you head straight for the top check out the glade at the base of the cove first. Almost surreal in it's beauty, it is the sort of place you never really want to leave, and in a sense I never will having carried a bit of it away with me in memory. Every step up towards the top provides sweeping vistas of the surrounding countryside to enjoy. Not the easiest of walks, had to take advantage of several opportunities to rest on the way. The reward for your efforts though is worth it. An otherworldly landscape of limestone slabs and the deep fissures between them. Mind your footing as you cross but make sure you fully explore everything (views and all) that the top has to offer. An absolute must see destination in its own right. I found it extremely difficult at times despite taking regular rest breaks. A lot of people turned back halfway through and we wondered why. The map does not match the trail which I found very unhelpful, there are numbers at certain points of the trail as you go along. I would suggest finishing at 8 or if you want to see the last waterfall 10. There is an ice cream van but it's another 10/15 mins after the last waterfall and is over a bridge with a steep decline and incline. Overall I'm chuffed we managed to do it in just over 3hrs but I wouldn't do it again. There is a toilet block and plenty of parking but the price seems a bit steep at £22 for 2 adults.

The house is as fine and authentic as any grand Elizabethan house that you can imagine. Well preserved and looked after, steeped in history and a real maze of corridors, rooms, staircases and more. The farm also is staffed by a real good bunch and the farm is easy to get around and explore. The cobbles however may prove difficult for some but in truth aren't that bad and add to the original character of the farm. The landscape also makes for aesthetic viewing and walking, a real Capability Brown piece. The let down is that whilst the house and farm is payable, albeit good value, the wider estate is free access and whilst that is a benefit to most, you had the same old few who like to destroy or degrade all that is beautiful by rising off road bikes through the estate. Plenty of playgrounds for the young ones and parking is affordable (£4 for 12 hours). A treasure that we need to preserve for future generations and a great day out.

There is new management and a new team and a major refurbishment. All the staff were brilliant and the facilities were lovely and good value for money. So when the waitress (young girl) finished serving, we asked her if we could order a roast, she said you can only have that inside and not outside, she said she will check for us.. The young girl told us that we could have roasts but not beef as there was none left, I said that fine as we don't eat beef anyway.. She brought a different menu as it was different to the one that was given by the guy behind the bar.. We ordered 2 Chorizos, 1 cauliflower cheese for starters , 2 Chicken roasts and 2 pork roasts, 1 hunters chicken, 1 sticky toffee pudding and 2 raspberry tarts to share.
