Any time of the year is a great time to visit Fellows Riverside Gardens. Take a magical stroll through absolute beauty! Lots of events are planned throughout the year. The evening walk through to see the Jack o lanterns and Christmas lights are a definite highlight. I’ve been there by myself to take some time to reflect and I’ve gone with friends and family to share the beauty. It’s also a great place for photography. The Gardens are closed on Monday so make sure you plan another day.

Absolutely one of the most beautiful venues for a wedding! Our ceremony was held in the rose gardens, and our reception was in the hall on the lower level of the building. The entire staff was so friendly and helpful, and all our guests loved how convenient everything was. There's so many spots around the gardens for photos, and it's large enough that we were able to have 100+ guests attend the ceremony. Inside, we had 200 comfortably. And, last but not least, the food from Inspired by Kravitz was very good! We had ZERO complaints about anything!

It was a fantastic pit stop between Cleveland and Pittsburgh. Good place to stretch your legs, have a snack and learn about the area.
The grounds were partially under construction for expansion to add a children's garden. The regional flora representation is impressive. The only drawback was the lack of clear signage for the perennialsand trees. Many of the signs were for spring bulbs that were out of season.
A curiosity is the sculptures in the top corner beyond the mall. They were beautiful but had no plaques to indicate the artist.

What a wonderful art museum. It’s laid out very well, so it’s easy to navigate and enjoy. They have a broad collection of American art and a surprisingly large amount of pieces from famous artists. The BIAA is a true hidden gem. From an impressive permanent collection, formative visiting exhibits, and a helpful and friendly staff — this museum boasts big city vibes right in the heart of Youngstown. Only 1 hour from Pittsburgh, we got lost in the various galleries for hours and can't wait to return. The icing on the cake was the tasty Looma Cafe that made some kick ass sandwiches.

I decided to stop in with my two granddaughters since I hadn’t seen the center since the renovations. Every inch was amazing. I was especially impressed with the lower level that gives children a fully immersive interactive experience with the natural world around them. The building itself? Nothing short of stunning. I would love to see photos of the place when it was used as a home, though.
I’m puzzled by the low reviews. This is a hands-on nature center—not a selfie tour opportunity. The point is the leave nature as is—not to ruin it by paving trails so you don’t need to watch where you are walking. There are some graded trails for those with actual mobility issues. Who gives a one star because their child trips on a step? For we locals, the Ford Nature Center is yet another reason to be proud of our valley. I am one who learned to love and appreciate nature from the patient and wise Mr. Washington, and I know he would approve!

We are locals, but I’ve never been to this nature center. On a whim I decided to check it out. It was way better than I had even expected, absolutely beautiful, very informative. I learned a lot about Millcreek Park, birds, nature, and some of our local history. The staff was very kind. There is a gift shop, but it does not cost anything to go in and see inside the facility or walk the trails outside. I don’t know how anybody could complain about this place. Mill Creek Park does an excellent job!

The building renovation is very nice. The views through the large glass lookouts to the back are also nice. The inside is basically a gift shop and photos on the walls. The Beaver Creek Wildlife Center is loaded with animals and exhibits and actually a much nicer place for youngsters to interact with nature.

I have been to Mill creek park 2 times now and each time I’ve left feeling refreshed and happy. I started my latest adventure at lanternmans mill parking area and ventured to the suspension bridge to get some photos. I loved seeing the wildlife wondering around the park, squirrels, black squirrels, chipmunks , beautiful birds and even deer. I seen nothing but smiling faces as everyone seemed to have a positive energy from this place. The park was very well maintained and was happy to see there wasn’t a bunch of garbage all over the place. The trail was very easy to walk on, would not have taken a stroller on it though. I made my way back to lanternmans mill to take some more photos, the mill is beautiful and very relaxing to just stare at the waterfall, all in all I can’t wait to come back and spend more time exploring and finding new things. 2 thumbs up from me :)

I walk here quite often. I use the walking path which is super nice. It’s nice to see other people always out as well walking, running, bike riding, etc. No matter what time during the day I go there are always people which is nice because I feel safe. The parking can be an issue but there are two ends you can park at. They also have cameras incase anything was to happen to you or your vehicle which I really appreciate. I constantly see maintenance crews changing trash, blowing leaves off the path, etc. Also the mill creek park police drive through as well which is a relief! I always see a wide variety of wildlife & it is dog friendly!

Refreshing!
On our most recent trip to Ohio as part of our summer road trip (we are from PA) we chose to veer off to let the kids cool off. It was nice knowing that there was a splash pad available at this location. Not only was it a place to cool off, but also one to get absolutely drenched if you wanted to.
The theme of the splash pad appeared to be a garden. There were flowers with sprays of water that came up out of them, and what looked to be tulips in the area that had buckets that would fill and dump when they were completely filled. There were also archways you could run through and mushrooms that poured pools of water.
Restrooms over by the par, three golf course, made it easy to change for the splash park and then out of your wet clothes afterward.
There was a birthday party going on when we arrived so there were a lot of kids to play with. Behind the splash pad was a playground area and some pavilions.
Might I add that the people in this area, at least one that we came across was very honest. Our daughter had left her phone in the restroom and we had been about 45 minutes away when she realized that she had left it so we returned. We called the par 3 and nobody had turned one in and checked the bathrooms and did not find. A few of the family members from the birthday were still sitting socializing and I walked over to ask if they had happened to see a phone that was left in the restroom and one of them handed it over to me. I believe she was waiting to see if someone would show up and she was keeping it safe. You don’t see this a lot today so I was very thankful to her and just wanted to mention that there are some wonderfully honest people out there and that, I thank her over and over again for making my daughters day!
I will definitely return to this area on future visits!

The playground is one my favorites. Esp the mushroom nature one near sand box. The sandbox had dinosaur bones you can dig to... Heard they removed it but not sure if that is accurate. I thought that was an amazing hidden diamond so I hope they didn't remove them. And it was just refilled heavily with more sand.
Splash pad there but not sure if a button to press or not. We were unable to get the water running last time we were there. Not sure if it has button like other parks or if certain times. Wish they had information signs clearly stating.
They looked to have hockey place and volleyball court. Pavilion.
Saw a sign saying pool coming soon. Don't know accuracy of it tho either.

Only complaints were the parents not watching or correcting their children's behaviors. Ex. My son (5) had a much older kid (10+?) that threw sand right in his face and eyes. Another few girls that were putting sand in the water fountain that was already overflowing and backed up. Trash seems to be an issue. Parents not cleaning up after their kids or kids not cleaning up after themselves.
It's such a nice playground and park. It's a shame to see people misuse and abuse it.
People tend to ruin good things... I hope to go back and see it cleaner and parents watching their children better.

The park is beautiful and there are geese everywhere. Unfortunately that means there is also goose poop everywhere!!! So watch your step! There are fun trails to hike but steep steps so beware. There is what looks like an old well at one point down the river at a big rock which is fun to take pictures at. The kids really seem to like the playground and the tennis court area is well maintained. There are restrooms however I did not use them, but my kids said they were nice and clean. There is some type of Nature Center but I've never been in it, and there is a pavilion that you can picnic at. Overall I'd say this place was very fun and my kids enjoyed it too. We'll be back :)

When we drove into Yellow Creek Park we were in awe! Particularly at this time of year. It is beautiful!
Then there are the facilities, everything we needed was there. Refrigerator, microwave, oven, coffee maker, sink, and indoor restrooms!
And the open space with the round tables, fireplace, ceiling beams and large long tables for food or dispaly! It is so inviting! And since it is a little walk to the pavilion, they supply a large and hefty wagon for carting all of your things. The staff are all so friendly and helpful.
Now for the ouside. A wonderful playgroung that all of the kids really enjoyed, as did the paernts! There is even a covered pavilion outside that you can use. And there are trails that a few guests used and they were quite happy to have discovered them.
We had 2 dogs at our gathering and not only were they allowed outside but inside, too!!
You will not regret reserving your gathering at Yellow Creek Park!

Decent park, but with all the space that's there it seems like something else can be added to attract more people in the area. It's kind of relaxing and there's always people walking through for exercise or walking their dogs. They even have a small area with a splash pad. With what looks like an updated kitchen with a new range and fridge. The woodwork throughout the building is all hard wood. It's a great place to hold a private event. If there was central air it probably would have been much better. But my guess is the park wants to keep it all as close to the original as possible and I can't blame them. Street signs looked updated but it didn't help much considering the signs are black and they were all in shaded dense trees so GPS was really the only way to make sure we got there on time.

Mill Creek Park Suspension in Youngstown, Ohio. Very picturesque two span steel link pin suspension bridge. Parking area next to bridge allows you to walk over to this still active structure. I believe it's over 100 years old although it does have some support underneath to carry today's loads but doesn't detract from the appearance. Very nice setting.

This park is small and quiet it is secluded and surrounded by trees also it is located in a very country like setting on the east side of Youngstown that most locals aren't even aware exists. Kids love it and so do adults. It has a swing area, a climbing structure, two slides, covered shelter picnic area with grill and tables, a basketball court, and also has a walking path with exercise equipment along the path. One of the best features at this park is the water play area which is a small pad that allows children to play in the spraying water in the hot days. Wonderful park to visit!!

The course is great. Not too tough, good for beginners but still fun for more advanced players. The Mill Creek Park setting is beautiful.
My issue is that the park needs to better manage play and allow for tee times. The course can get really crowded and if you’re unfortunate enough to arrive after 3 foursomes, you’ll either be there all day or you have to come back another time. If you go on a day when there’s a tournament or a class or some other group activity, you’re not golfing that day. And the park doesn’t communicate these activities so you have no way of knowing if you’ll be able to golf when you arrive.
I love Mill Creek Park and I love the Par 3 course but they have to do something to make it a better experience for ALL golfers.

We rented the rotary room in the Lariccia building and couldn't have had a better experience for my bridal shower. The staff was wonderful to deal with, they set up all tables and chairs for us and we did not have to tear them down. The facility was clean and the kitchen is immaculate! We couldn't get over how nice it was. I would highly recommend renting facilities from boardman park over other local parks in the area!

It feels larger once you are among the dense, tall trees. Impressive playground facilities around the perimeter but inside the woods there are 4 miles of paved and hardpacked trails with a couple of bridges crossing the small stream. A fine small park.

This is a lovely little park that honours and remembers those who passed in the attacks on that dark day 19 years ago now. As someone related to one of the 2,977+ departed, I appreciate all the 9/11 memorials, but especially those in places where you might not exactly associate with the attacks themselves. The Youngstown area is actually where many steel beams were manufactured for the World Trade, and United Flight 93 flew right nearby before turning around and being heroically crashed about 75 miles southeast in Somerset, PA. It was all very respectful, and I’ll forgive them for having NYFD on the large planter instead of FDNY. The “Let’s Roll” urn was especially powerful, with Todd Beamer’s now immortal words which were spoken in the air nearby 19 years ago.
Should also be noted that sharing the same car park is a recycling and rubbish area, with limited hours to reduce dumping, but the park space is open to people 24 hours if they wish. Thank you, cheers.

The tiny pavilion is VERY small, the gas stove did NOT light on its own; we had to use matches, the air conditioner does NOT cool the room, and the electricity does NOT work in the kitchen. Nice neighborhood park with a variety of toys for the kids, basketball rims, splash pad, and plenty of room. They have a place to rent for parties and events. Also have a pavilion and picnic tables, and i believe at least one grill. Not a great deal of parking as everyone parks along the side of the road. First time visiting this playground today and it was hands down the most unique and creative playground I have ever seen! There were so many fun things to do from toddler ages up to older kids. I appreciate how they designed this for children in wheelchairs because they need to feel included and have fun too.
I loved the soft rubber ground around the swings and play areas. The 3 ziplines were the biggest hit for my kids. Overall, even though it was pretty chilly today, they had so much fun and didn't want to leave. The next time we are back in this area, we are definitely returning!
Oh and we loved the Free Little Library Box as well! What a wonderful way to encourage children to want to read a book!

4/23/21 BEWARE THERE ARE NO RESTROOMS OR PORTAPOTIES! some reviews said there was a porta potty on the premises but there is definitely not one here anymore! No businesses or gas stations for Miles! so you better not have to go to the bathroom at any point while you're here!!!! Other than that, this place is great, good atmosphere and tons of things that other playgrounds definitely don't have. This is an extremely unique find and we will definitely be back.

I stop by the skatepark periodically to see my grandkids ride and I discovered something new. I met Shayne Smith, who opened a bike shop inside of the Wedgewood complex. Very nice guy that knew what he was doing and talking about. He not only will work on people's bikes but developed a prototype model with his riding sponsor. I love this park! I’m so grateful to have it near where I live. It is clean, safe (has video surveillance) and there is always upgrades being made. It is a wonderful place to walk dogs and bonus they even have free biodegrade bags for easy clean up after your dog. So on the weekend of Oktoberfest @ Boardman park, my daughter and I tried to walk our dog there but there were too many scary sounds for the pup! I remembered this place and when we arrived I was amazed; I'd never heard anything in local media about the new paved walking trail. This is a great resource in the Woodworth area! You walk around the entire perimeter of the property, even crossing a bridge -with handrails- through a stretch of woods. There were lovely Mums placed throughout to please the eye. Woodward Park is a very neat small Park located off of Western Reserve Road near Poland , Ohio. At least once a week they have free music. Some of the Bands That performed there are paid large sums of money. You get to watch these for free. Near the end of the season they have free corn drinks and hot dogs. It is a very quaint venue and the people enjoy the music.
