I have been to Pemberton a few times, but recently we saw another side of the area I never knew existed. Until now Pemberton for me was just an old timber town surrounded by Karri forests. I never knew there were forests of avocado trees, and rolling hills of grape vines. And what a delight to be there in Spring when the clematis are splashing white throughout the region.

Very nice centrally located; most of the bush walls are within 3 km from the visitor centre, nice little play area for the kids and BBQ with iGA nearby to restock supplies. A lot of maps and pamphlets available for self guided.

엄청큰 나무에 철심 을 박아놔서 나무를 오르게 해놓았다. 경고판에 샌들이나 슬리퍼는 안된다? 추천 안한다? 라고 되있던걸로 기억한다.
운동화를 신고 가는걸 추천하고 맨발로 올라가려는건 장말 비추한다... 철심밟고 올라가고 내려가기가 정말 나중에는 무서운거보다 발이 아파서 움직이지를 못한다.
나름 안전하게 만들어 놨고. 아마도 무슨 표를 사야하는걸로 기억한다. 20불정도던가??
그리고 주변애 산책로 같은게 있는데 시간이 있으면 한번 돌아보는것도 추천한다. 한바꾸 도는데 30분 정도 걸렸던걸로 기억한다.
입장료 13불! 53m(아파트 18층 높이!) 펨버튼에 어떤 이유로 오셨든 시간 내서 꼭 오시길! 가능하다면 꼭 올라보세요! 전망대에서 바라보는 호주란! 고즈넉하고 좋은 시간이었습니다. 추천!

The Gloucester Tree is a fascinating place to visit and a big part of WA’s history. I came here early in 2021 when it was still open for climbing — trying to going up that tall karri tree was an unforgettable and slightly nerve-wracking experience!
By mid-2023 it was under maintenance when I came to visit, and now it’s no longer safe to climb. Still, walking around the area is still impressive, surrounded by tall karri trees that make the forest feel so peaceful and majestic. Even without the climb, it’s a great spot to stop, take a walk, and soak in the natural beauty.

Great place / zipline Park is fantastic. Friendly people. We walked to the Gloucester Tree after our lunch at Chefingo's @The Forest Lodge Resort. It's only 1 k walk through the Forest Aboritum. We enjoyed the place and had great food at Chefingo's.

The tree is under construction at the moment. Their wasn't any notifications that we saw and drove out there only to be disappointed. They are going to open but for those that have a similar experience, the Bicentennial tree is still open to the first platform which is still a small thrill.

Once I got my bearings and worked out where everything was I got stuck into the hill climbs. Lots of them too! Well, 1 hill climbed lots of times, so much easier with an e-bike which I don’t have! Yet!!!
I did find lots of tree debris on the trails which made me a bit nervous on the descents, but I still enjoyed them and tried to do them all, except the blacks.

This little gem got some grim reviews of late due to the fact that it was empty and undergoing a massive clean up. Mostly cared for by volunteers this unique pool among the karri trees is likely to get a face lift in the next few years as parties involved our aware of the need for new or renovated toilets etc. It will also soon have a floating Sauna like the one in Lake Derby (Tasmania). Well worth a visit when full (ask the local visitor centre or the nearby caravan park if in doubt). Whether you want to take a photo or dive in. I'll put 5 stars on once the new glamorous toilets are installed (though old the existing ones are always clean in my experience). 😍

We had a lovely morning exploring the Pemberton region with Graeme on a small tour, it was fab having the opportunity to learn about the forest and how it's protected, but also the troubles they are having with looking after and protecting the surroundings.
The tour took us through the Karri forest and up to the sand dunes which was amazing to be able to see, a unique experience for sure.
We then headed out onto the beach and watched the ocean 🪸 🌊 while eating an apple 🍏 from Graeme garden
Finally we headed back into the forest for a spot of lunch.

In the past we have used Pemerton Discovery Tours for Bibbulmun Track drop off and pick up (Tarts on the Track). This trip however, we went on a 1/2 day, 4x4 forest to beach tour and absolutely loved it!! Graeme was a great source of knowledge and the mandarins from his garden that we ate on the beach were delicious as was the lunch we had in the forest on the way back to town. The sand dunes in the forest were a surprise and making sand angels is a must. Would highly recommend this tour when in the region.

My partner and I joined the Beach and Eco Forest Adventure Tour with Pemberton Discovery Tours on the 18th of October, and it was such an incredible experience from start to finish!
Our guide **Graeme** was fantastic — his knowledge of the area was so impressive, right down to the scientific names of the plants and wildflowers! I never realised how many beautiful wildflowers there were until this tour — it completely blew my mind.
The 4WD vehicle was super comfortable, and Graeme’s driving skills were top-notch — smooth, confident, and made the ride so enjoyable. The scenery was absolutely breathtaking, from the majestic forests to the rolling sand dunes and the stunning Yeagarup Beach. The moment the ocean came into view after crossing the dunes — wow, pure magic!
We’ll definitely be back for more adventures — especially the *Black Point Eco Adventure*!

A great tour of the forest, of the dunes and of the beach & river mouth. There was a great friendly bunch of travelers in the tour so that was fun also. Graeme the tour guide did a great job and has so much knowledge to share of the whole district. The tour van was comfy, safe, had good air conditioning and excellent visibility. We had a fantastic time yesterday on the Pemberton Discovery Tour Beach and Forest Eco Adventure. I wasn’t sure what to expect but the different areas of forest, dunes and coast were all utterly beautiful and were all places we couldn’t have got to on our own. Graeme was keen to share his knowledge, but in such a way as for it to be memorable - and he seemed able to do this even while negotiating some amazing off road tracks. It’s an experience I don’t think I’ll ever forget. The photos are a good reminder, but nothing compares to seeing it in person. I’d thoroughly recommend this tour

How good is the Pemberton Discovery Tours! We traversed three types of terrain: an avenue of magnificent Karri Trees on the red road through Warren NP, then to the river and sandy soil where pretty native shrubs grow, and over into the incredible Yeagerup sand dunes and down to Yeagerup Beach where river meets the sea. It's a wild stretch of navy blue ocean (so different to Margaret River) and white sand that seems to go on forever. We were there when the surf was 'calm'. The ride in the 12 seater vehicle is bumpy to say the least, but that's the fun in 4WD driving. My friend sat in the back seat - she's mad as a cut snake. Afterwards, Graeme drove us back to the picnic area where we had our choice of fresh salad rolls, coffee/tea. orange quarters and Gingernut biscuits. There was a nice mix of older and younger people on the tour. Highly recommended.

A half dozen of us took the half-day tour with Pemberton Discovery Tours through the Karri Forest and Yeagarup Dunes to Yeagarup Beach in March 2023.
Wow! The trip was phenomenal and breathtaking. Some of the most spectacular places in southwest WA are inaccessible by regular roads and cars. You need an off-road vehicle with a highly-skilled driver to navigate through sand dunes and rough terrain.
I emphasize that a skilled driver is essential, and Pemberton Discovery Tours guides were certainly skilled. Meanwhile, we saw several people with their own 4 wheel drive vehicles bogged in the soft sand. (Our driver helped a couple of them.)
NOTE: Travelled in March 2023. (A bit delayed getting to this review.)

The food at Hidden River Estate is incredible. We were a little hesitant due to the pricing, but it really was worth it. We ordered the squid ink pasta and fish of the day (which was salmon). All elements of each dish were outstanding (full of complimentary and delicious flavours). For drinks, we tried a different mojito each and they were both nice. The customer service was friendly the view was lovely. Definitely make a booking to reserve your spot as the lunch rush was very busy.
The previous day we also did a wine tasting here (unavailable between 12-2pm). $10 to try 5 wines. The wines were nice, however we didn’t make a purchase as we preferred wines from other wineries in the area.

I’ve been holidaying in Pemberton since I was 5 years old and I’m always amazed at how helpful and welcoming everyone in town is. On my recent visit, Lionel at the General Store went above and beyond—he actually went home to grab his angle grinder to help me out when my bulbar guard bent into my front tyre. A few quick cuts later, I could turn my steering wheel again and was safely back on my way.
That kind of genuine kindness and community spirit is rare, and I’ll definitely be doing all my shopping at the General Store from now on. Thank you Lionel and the team—you’ve made a lifelong customer out of me!

The General Store is iconic Aussie store carrying almost anything you need from clothing to chicken wire, they also do probably the best coffee in town.

Had an amazing family holiday at Pump Hills in early Aug 2025. Despite the rainy weather we had a wonderful time - the cottage is very comfortable with a fireplace to keep warmth (important as we come from tropical Singapore!), animals to keep us occupied - chicken coops, ducks roaming around, horses, cows, alpacas, pigs etc
There is a hayride every morning at 830am, definitely a must go!
Also “digital detox” entertainment is available - board games, DVDs, and just walking around
This place is great if you want to get off the grid for a few days ~ a week, with a full service kitchen & a fridge to prepare your meals. This is definitely not your Hilton; no room service or choice of pillows, but a great way for a country side experience and highly recommended!

Coming to Pumphill was truly a great choice. What a wonderful 3 days spent on the farm experiencing the farm life and enagaging with the animals!
Gwen and the staff were extremely friendly and hospitable, guiding us and helping us settle in when we arrived. The cottage was a pleasant surprise, clean, a fully equipped kitchen, cozy fireplace and furnishings greeted us and made our stay 'home away from home". Restaurants are just nearby if you do not wish to cook. Cooking in the cottage was a breeze as Groceries and essentials were easily available for purchase at nearby supermarkets and inexpensive, so its really convenient and cost saving too!
The morning tractor rides were awesome giving us the opportunity to get up close to the animals! For city dwellers like us, we found this experience with nature truly wonderful.
Hikes, other activities and attractions are also not far from the farm.

Nice property, good location, excellent hayride. The cabins need upkeep. Cabins and kitchen equipment needs a good cleanup. There is no one in the office...office surroundings were full of cobwebs and broken stuff giving a feel of a neglected dump yard ...we had a clogged toilet and took forever to even reach a staff member on the phone ...topping up firewood again took a lot of time as we had to physically go around the farm to track down staff. Lost us a day in only getting this basic stuff done. The hosts were missing. Wish there was better management for this beautiful property.

We recently had 3 nights here. It’s great that the kids get to interact with the animals, the farm setting is beautiful and the tractor rides each morning are a highlight. The kid’s playground and flying fox was also A+
That said, the cabins are in need of an update. I don’t think anything (including carpets) has been updated since the 1980s when they were built.
After checking out of Pump Hill, we checked into a nearby similar mud-cottage business and stayed in for 2 nights. The accommodation was worlds apart - the other accommodation had hot water, was better maintained and just felt like it had been given some TLC, while still retaining its rustic charm.
At Pump Hill we unfortunately had to shower (and try to wash dishes) in tepid water, which isn’t fun in the middle of a Pemberton winter. We didn’t shower the kids at all because it was so unpleasant. The farmhand came on the second afternoon at our request and changed the gas bottles, but this only resulted in a couple of degrees warmer water.
Basically a lovely setting that just needs some $$$ spent on maintenance (and hot water!)

Amazing place to stay, such a fun farm stay. Very friendly animals, and a great playground for the kids. The rooms are great , and the staff very friendly.
Very scenic location, and very tranquil.
We loved the morning hayride, that was a lot of fun .
Also loved all the carrots and apples they give to you to feed the animals.
Only thing to note is that they don't have TV reception, and some modern devices won't work with their TVs... But that's a small gripe, the kids and adults can live without it for a few days. And they have DVDs in the reception area.

Just the best way to get away from the city and reconnect. Cabins are rustic but well appointed, with a fireplace to keep you warm and a fire pit outside for toasting marshmellows. Kids loved the hay ride with farmer Mark every morning. Kids didn't want to leave, and were asking when we could come back. Best of all the TV wasn't turned on once.

Beautiful location, all courses can be done at your own pace. It’s a little challenging in some spots (depends on personal ability/experience etc), but the friendly staff offers support when needed. The harness system and course itself feel very safe and sturdy, without taking away from the serenity of nature. Would definitely visit again when in the area, especially when the cafe opens!

Aerial Adventures is definitely worth a visit in Pemberton. The zip lines are the highlight and you have beautiful views of the trees. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
I do wish there were more courses and a greater variety of challenges available (the challenges are all quite similar to each other). We did the following courses.

Tips:
- Purchase the ultimate pass. We were unsure which pass to get, having tried another company (Treetops Adventures) which has some levels that were very physically challenging. Aerial Adventures courses were not physically challenging. The higher level courses were literally higher up, but not more physically challenging for us. The top level has the best zip lines, so you don’t want to miss out.
- Book the earliest session. This way you are less likely to have to wait for other adventurers to navigate particular sections. We booked the first session and our first run through was awesome (we never had to wait). For our second run through, the courses took more than double the amount of time due to waiting for others to complete each section.

Very good tree top adventure with nice game settings and good instructors. We (6 yrs old) went on a less busy day and even get unlimited times to play. My kid is 112cm and have no issue to play the green games. About 20mins for each green level game (6 yrs old level). In total 2 green games and each game has 2 ropeway. They have a small snack bar and coffee. The car park and the adventure entry is very close.

The adventures lines are set to a different level of experience, and you can start at beginner level and gradually step to the fourth advanced one with a mix of rop lines & zip lines with spectacular aerial views.
The staff is welcoming and well organised to provide all support and further pieces of information.
In addition, a cafè, in front of the adventure park, is available if you want to enjoy some rest after this chilling experience.
As a personal opinion, I would recommend to not go or book during Xmas & Easter holidays to enjoy at the best this experience with your preferred pace, without waiting long waiting times.

Great family fun and extremely friendly staff.
It’s so nice being up in the trees. There are plenty of zip lines and the kids didn’t want to leave.
Due to insurance they have strict age limits. So if your kid is almost 6 or 8 I recommend waiting if you can until they hit the age so they can do the harder routes. Particularly if almost 6 as the 4+ routes while good was for our 5 year old.

Absolutely fantastic. We were the only ones there and it was a free climb with no harnesses, so may not be fun for anyone with a fear of heights. Interesting climb, but not overly difficult, as the poles are quite well placed for an adult climber to feel comfortable. A great experience.

Relatively easy to find and good parking. Cascades is a beautiful walking trail with bathroom facilities at the entrance and a mixed walking path - from stairs and board walk to more soul based tracks with stones / roots and some slippery or muddy areas depending on weather. Take caution depending on your walking ability.
Park access for the day is $17 which I must say seems very high for a 40min loop trail. You might get fortunate enough to see the Pemberton tram cross through the treetops. Pemberton is the best town centre closest to this walk and is a good stop for other items if travelling.
