We arrived before 11pm but were met outside by bouncers asking for proof of identification. I am quite aware this is now standard and was not an issue initially but did take some time. Inside the Bar we were met with a large group ordering and with two Bar staff attending to them and one other visitor, we had quite a wait before we were served. Once we were acknowledged I asked the Bar Man about the 50% off drinks offer to know if this included all drinks and he said it's no longer available. I asked him what time this offer ended and why that information is not stated outside the Bar on the poster that had caught our eye on the way through. He told me it had ended at 11pm and it was now 11.03pm, that was all. The fact that the offer could not be honoured knowing we were there before 11pm for our drinks as himself and his colleague had seen us walk in before this time is quite sad. When we questioned the way we were being spoken to, one of our group was singled out, pointed at, and told they were not allowed back on the track — and this person was the birthday celebrant!!! The experience left two children in tears and ruined what was meant to be a special family day. As we walked out the briefing room the employer threw a packet of crayons across a room that my child was still stood in!!! I was outraged. The assistant manager showed no empathy or professionalism and did not offer a single apology. A birthday celebration completely ruined by unprofessional, under skilled, rude staff clearly on a power trip and didn’t like being pulled up on their approach.
