YHA Nelson helped me make the most of my time. There were plenty of wash/drier units (but I still recommend you start your laundry asap because everyone seems to do laundry last minute.) There were plenty of bathrooms, plenty of showers, two large kitchens fully stocked with pots and pans had i chosen to cook, a big dining area with an outdoor patio. Everything is cleaned regularly. Staff is super helpful when booking tickets, and they gave me 100% of their attention when i needed their help. They totally anticipated my needs and were so helpful. These days it's awesome to have live reception at a hostel. My second visit i came in late and amazingly they were still there and I didn't have to worry about messing around with booking online. I stayed in a private room which was awesome, perfect when my pack exploded and I had to reorganize everything. My second stay I stayed in the women's dorm full of other angel hikers, all quiet and respectful. I highly recommend this place.
