Very grateful that the Stimpson family descendants and local Whatcom Cty agencies had the foresight and generosity to establish this for the public to enjoy for free. Well worth the investment. We realize dog owners aren't happy that dogs aren't allowed, but we found it a refreshing experience to be able to walk and not see poop bags discarded or loose dogs on the narrow trails. This is the only park we know of where dogs aren't allowed. I think this helps control the traffic here and why it looks so good. This is our favorite hiking spot now... Very relaxing and not stressful like so many other trails here.For those with neuro-divergent family members, it is a nice trail/hiking experience. Highly recommend.
