Having made a reservation at mid noon there weren’t too many people when we arrived, the seatings were comfortable being at good distance to each other too. Ordered 6 Maldon rock oysters to start with and they were really fresh, tender without being overly salty. For mains we had the grilled monkfish from the seasonal special menu, steamed panache with a good selection of seafood (very good value for money too!) and the Rye fish stew which was my favourite during my meal. There were two other complaints from customers whilst we were there with food being returned. When asked how the food was, we gave our honest opinion, however, there was no offer of a good well gesture of reducing the overall bill as this would perhaps made us think again about giving it another go.
