Great course. Greens rolled smooth but had a little disease look on surface. Rough is to high because when you hit into it it's hard to find your ball. No need for rough to be that high unless your playing some big time tournament there. Holds up open play for members and guests.

An excellent challenging golf club. Beautifully maintained. Lightning fast elevated greens surrounded by sand traps on every hole. Fairways are wide enough on most holes, but better bring your straight game or you will find yourself among the well established trees. If you get the invite to play, don't pass it up.

It's a nice course with great greens. There are some challenging holes. Overall, it's worth the trip if you get the chance to play it.
A couple holes take some local knowledge, or a ride up to the landing area in order to play them correctly and not get yourself in trouble.

So I was expecting more but it was still fun!
Took my kids to the merry go round museum while on vacation. I always try to go non traditional museums or zoos when we are on a get away.
So first we tried to go on a Tuesday but they were closed (google said they were open 😑) so we came back on Wednesday. They open at 11am, we go there a little after. It was almost $40 for a family of 4. You get 1 free ticket for the carousel per person… if you want more rides it’s a $1.
When you walk in you can see all kinds of animals from the carousels some are over 100 years old! The volunteers working there are friendly and kind. Another fun thing they have an available is a scavenger hunt. I really recommend doing that, it’s a great excuse to really look at every exhibit and get your moneys worth. Plus if you complete it you get a prize from the gift shop.
They also have a little station where people are making new pieces by hand. If your a nerd like me it’s cool to get a glimpse of the process..
Also it’s not advertised well, but this is a 2 for 1 museum. They have a “cedar point” museum inside as well, it’s like a small room and hallway but still cool.
Even tho I expected more especially for the price my kids had fun and we spent about a hour and half enjoying ourselves!

This place is amazing! Our daughter loves carousels and this place was incredible. So much history, beautiful horses, and we stayed here for hours. It is very affordable and we would highly recommend. There is a cedar point museum inside as well. We enjoyed it here and will return!

It was nice to find that there's more to Sandusky than just Cedar Point. This was such an adorable find! While the Carousel museum is comprised of one larger room and a smaller one off the side for the Cedar Point History Museum, there is so much to look at. They have carousel animals and pieces all along the outer area around a rideable carousel in the middle of the room. They'll give you a ride ticket when you enter and extra rides are $1. Take some time and read the information screens and signs they have posted to learn more about the animals you see. The even have a woodworker come in on the weekend that you can watch!

The nostalgia is alive at the Merry-Go-Round Museum. There is a rideable carousel in the center of the showroom floor and it’s included with admission. The outstanding, varied collection of iconic, bizarre, peculiar, and familiar figures will provide a lot of conversations and laughs with friends and strangers.
As soon a you walk through the door, you are greeted with dozens of carousel figures that look like almost every animal imaginable. The front counter resembles a circus tent. The staff is super nice and welcoming.
The museum is self-guided with no time limit. Take in every detail of the decades of history around you. You’ll find more than a few curiosities. Since it’s a museum, there are a few displays to help inform you of the long and surprising history of merry-go-rounds.
This doubles as a museum for Cedar Point amusement park, which is included with your admission as well. Dozens of glass cases filled with a hundred years of park history. There are shirts, buttons, photos, pins, mugs, and many more items to view. There are banners and old park posters so you can take a visual walk through history. The end of this area is filled with art inspired by the park.
Lastly, there is a case dedicated to Sandusky’s own Miss America 1963, Jacquelyn Mayer. Pieces of memorabilia from her big win, news articles, and photos to bring you back to her crowning moment.
All-in-all, this was a neat couple of hours. The Merry-Go-Round Museum is exactly what it needs to be. Go for fun, go to learn, or go to realize just how bizarre the makers of carousels can get.

My husband and I just held both our wedding ceremony and reception here at the Lyman Harbor on 6/27/2020 in the middle of this pandemic. The venue was amazing at making us and our guests feel safe by spreading out the dining tables throughout the entire ballroom, supplying hand sanitizer by the bar, and serving our guests as they walked through the buffet. The space is beautiful being right on Lake Erie. The food was delicious and the chef was very accommodating to all our tastes and preferences. The staff was very friendly and helpful with taking care of serving and cleaning needs. Lea Ann, the owner, was so easy to work with and helped to make our vision come true amidst all the changes to state health regulations. She deserves an award for putting up with all the emails and phone calls received to pull this off. Thank you to the ownership and staff at the Lyman Harbor for making our wedding the most memorable moment in our lives, so far!

Nice docks with power witch was really cool and the food was great. We stayed over night and all the staff was vary accommoding. Had a band outside and night club that was open till 2:30 am after the band was done. There was so much stuff for the kids to do they had a blast. Dog friendly for boaters then travel with there pups like we do. Great place we will be going back for sure.

Sweet little Buffet right on the water. the couple running the place was very attentive as was the staff. $12 breakfast buffet with custom-made egg dishes and Bloody Mary bar for five bucks a drink. My daughter's wedding reception was held at Lyman Harbor on August 30, 2014. Everything was great. The staff, bartenders, maintenance crew, helpers, were very cooperative. Any questions we had, they were quick to respond. Food was very good. Prime Rib done right, Chicken Parmesan, etc. was delicious. There's a variety of rooms to serve any event. All of our guests enjoyed the evening.

We held our daughter's wedding reception at Lyman Harbor in May. The view of the harbor from the room was absolutely beautiful. The staff was excellent and helpful in every way possible including the planning before the event. They set the room up to meet are needs perfectly including our own centerpieces and other individual touches. The food was very good and enjoyed by all. We received many compliments from our guests. Went with the family and when we first pulled in we were concerned because the parking lot was pretty empty. Had to wander down hallways past empty ballrooms before reaching a completely empty dining room. Food was adequate. Dining room windows needed cleaned from so much bird poop. Great views of Cedar Point though. Started to pick up with customers as we were finishing up but still wasn't busy for a Friday evening. Perhaps having better signage or someone stationed there at the door by the parking lot directing customers where to go would make things a little better?

Greta, the banquets coordinator, helped us plan the entire day and made sure all of our questions were answered throughout the planning process. When the weather took a turn and it poured down rain right before the ceremony was supposed to start, Greta and the staff quickly transitioned and created a beautiful indoor wedding space within minutes. The bartenders and wait staff made sure all of the guests were comfortable throughout the night and the chef was able to accommodate various dietary restrictions for our buffet dinner. The views were gorgeous and SYC was truly a perfect venue for such a special event!

An amazing getaway. It’s great for kids and adults, I wish they had more to do but for the price it’s enjoyable for everyone, we had an issue one time with an adult running into our child on the skating rink and was extremely rude but other than that it’s a fun experience lots of games, they offer food like pizza and drinks, the 3d golf is awesome, the dark ride is fun. Had a great experience here! Needed something to do for a few hours before our resort check-in and this fit the need perfectly! We interacted with the manager a lot. They have a lot to offer here, a little of everything for indoor entertainment. There was an arcade, roller skating, mini golf, and so much more. It was clean and not too crowded. It would be great for a fun date or for a birthday party. Mini golf got a little backed up but we still enjoyed it, they give you 3-D glasses which is a whole new challenging experience for mini golf. Worth the stop for some fun.

We come here every time we come to Sandusky to take the kids to Great Wolf Lodge. It's only a few minutes down the road and you can easily kill a couple of hours here. The kids will love it. They have skating/rollerblading, a haunted house, play area, bounce area, arcade, mini golf, etc.

The place is very nice and clean, and extremely friendly staff. While we were not there for long, we enjoyed our experience very much. We did the 7D Dark Ride and the Haunted House. The 7D Dark Ride was fun and I enjoyed the shooting aspect (it reminded me of Fortnite). The Haunted House scared me so damn bad. I genuinely was tweaking out the entire time, especially the end with the claustrophobic bit. Definitely scary even for a 20 year old like myself. I was greatly surprised…Previous posts were pretty much spot on. Perfectly cooked (requested rare) Midwest Ribeye with chef’s potatoes and Asparagus. The server missed my salad until the end. I wish the bartender had been a little more attentive to my empty glass both times, but other than that it was a great experience.
I think the ambience and choices of seating is phenomenal. I chose to sit at the bar as it was the middle of the dinner rim and I was a single. I’d love to bring my lovely lady here. Outdoor seating in the couches is especially exceptional, the upper outside deck is equally appealing.

Our party of Nine did not have anything less than great food. From Tomahawk Steak to Prime Rib Friday specials, all were cooked to their culinary perfection. Plenty to say about this golf course but not enough time. I drove 21/2 hrs. to get there and right from the moment I entered the drive I saw the beautiful hotel and convention center then on to the golf course parking lot. I parked and was greeted by a gentleman bringing me a cart right to my car. Very pleasant to talk with and really liked the service. I spoke with the young man who checked me in and got me pointed in the right direction being new to this course. Everyone I encountered was very polite and helpful. Great service. The pro shop is on the smaller side but very clean and well organized. They do have a pub but I did not have the time to try the food. The course is an excellent track with a nice layout. Tight fairways with most lined by trees and in great condition. The rough was even pretty much anywhere I hit it. Not overly deep but just enough to make you think about hitting out of it. Water does come into play on several holes. The creek runs through several of them and is beautiful! The greens have some pretty good undulations to them and are in very nice condition. There was only one that had any kind of blemish on it.
Being honest and fair the back 9 was a little on the rough side. There was a note on the door stating that it was cart path only on holes 12-18. It looked like they had some pretty heavy rains or something and some damage due to sitting water. The grounds crew was hard at work mowing, rolling and raking the bunkers. The cart paths are a mixture of paved and gravel some of which are a little rough. Non of the things I have mentioned kept me from playing a full 18 holes. I had a great time here and would definitely recommend this course to anyone wanting a challenge.

An amazing track! Beautiful layout with large greens that are very well protected by bunkers and water. Fairways are a little tight. Very friendly starter and bag attendants. The only negative thing was that the course was ober saturated without any rain in the last couple weeks. Got no roll in the fairways and it was hard to hit irons out of the wet fairways. Would definitely recommend playing here!

This is a very well maintained golf course with plush fairways and large greens. Our group did lose a number of balls here as there is a lot of unplayable area if you have a misdirected ball. The back nine is much tougher then the front nine and our scores reflected that.
The cart trail needs work as there are many areas that are in disrepair.

I enjoy visiting different county fairs and this was a first for me at the Erie County Fair. Enjoyed all of the animals and the very friendly people there, especially the lady who greeted us when we walked in. Admission was by donation or free that day which was a nice surprise. This is a pretty small fair compared to others ive gone to, much smaller than Geauga, Medina, Cuyahoga county's fairs. Plenty of food and animals, not so many rides. We had a nice time, heard some good music too.

Wow. I am very happy to have found this beautiful and fun place. Most of the staff were very friendly and welcoming. They had story time in the lobby at check in so our kids were occupied it was super interactive and cute. This place is big with plenty to accommodate any age. . There is mini golf , bowling , arcade games & restaurants/ cafes. The coffee is Starbucks so that was a huge bonus for me. After 11 pm games were half off at mini golf & bowling. The waterpark itself was so much better than a few other ones I’ve went to recently. The water was pretty warm but not bath water warm. There was tons of life guards! They were all paying attention at all times. Supervisors everywhere watching and keeping an eye out. It was very impressive. Everyone we met was nice. Almost every slide was useable and all the areas were fun. The water coaster was a hit for our family. The lady who does the cooking in the cafe restaurant was very nice and friendly. The pizza was hot and fresh. There was just so much to do. It’s awesome that the waterpark is open long hours and useable for your whole next day. I absolutely would go back. We normally stay at Hotel Breakers, but couldn't during the total solar eclipse event, so we stayed here. This is a great hotel for families with kids 4-12. They offer a bunch of activities (water park, bowling, mini golf, crafting, escape room), it's close to the park, and the themes are fun. They even gave us a packet of stuff we could do (scavenger hunt, activity book, coloring sheets, etc.). We thought the food was good for the breakfast buffet and so was the pizza at the other store. The water park was fun, including the water rollercoaster, but our 2.5-year-old didn't appreciate the area as much as my husband and I did, which is why I think slightly older kids would enjoy this more. You can get snacks there and alcoholic beverages if that's something you want. The towels they have for free are tiny, but we just took as many as we needed. They had plenty there.
I would go here again when our daughter is older & either early in the season or off season. I would do 5 stars, but the hotel room beds need an update. It was clear they were old and ran hot easily.
I love the convenience of Hotel Breakers with the park and beach plus the accommodations, but this option is very nice and fun. I enjoyed it!

The main elevators for the rooms leave much more to be desired. ( They are small and very dated inside, and caused a horrid wait time to travel to your designated floor. )

From our arrival walking in till we left the hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean along with the bathrooms. The water park was awesome. Very kid friendly. The wave pool was a blast and the toddler area was a plus. Lifeguards we’re on point and seem to be very focused on there jobs +++. The amenities and staff at this location are wonderful. We were in town for a tournament and it was so nice to have everything on property. The waterpark is beautiful and well maintained. I give this water park three stars. Solely based on half of the water slides were closed!!! That's not cool at all. Especially when you're paying a lot to stay her for a few nights. Cast away bay is definitely family friendly. I thought it was cool when we arrived, two employees put on a cool little show with music.. the energy was awesome. Involved kids to dance!! The beds in the rooms were ok. Cast away had a recent renovation but they didn't upgrade the beds at all. Over all mediocre at best. The arcade is fun and super-sized. Other activities to do with the family included, golf, bowling and an escape room! Plenty to do! Honestly, Kalahari or Great Wolf Lodge is the way to go if you want to go to a water park. I don't know if we would come back based on the slides not being up and running.

I had not had professional photos taken in almost 2 decades so I was not looking forward to this experience, but Jamie and Lindsey made made this so fun, easy and relaxed that the shoot just felt totally natural. Jamie had tips for outfits that would photograph well, came to the location I had in mind, had great ideas and poses (I had no idea what to do with my hands!). The Oak at Millsite Farm was the perfect place to have our wedding, and we could not be happier with how everything went!
We first visited the property in December, a time when Ohio is not very colorful. That did not stop us from immediately knowing that this venue was going to be gorgeous in July. In our first few meetings with Jewel to discuss the possibilities, we would look out the window to the massive oak tree on the property and imagine what our wedding day would look like. Everything about the property was perfect to us. It was close to home and we knew it would be easy for family and friends to get to. The guest house was the perfect place for the girls to stay in the night before and to get ready on our wedding day. Having the guest house to stay in after our wedding created a stress free night for us since we did not have to worry about getting off the property and could focus on celebrating. The barn is just as beautiful on the inside as it is on the outside, and the setup for the dance floor was ideal for getting as many people out there as we could. The food options made available were incredible and everyone loved it. So many options to choose from and they all are amazing.
The Oak tree itself is an unbelievable centerpiece to the property. It provided the perfect backdrop for our ceremony and it could not have looked more stunning. We have heard back from many guests saying the ceremony was one of the most beautiful ceremonies they had been to. It is truly a one of a kind place.
Throughout the entire process, Jewel was our go-to. Any question or concern, Jewel had the answer. She was full of creative ideas that helped us shape our day into a unique night like no other. We never had anything to worry about during the planning process and on our wedding day because of Jewel. She and her amazing team kept everything moving on time and made sure our guests were taken care of. Her professionalism and care for us and our guests was second to none.

The venue is absolutely breathtaking, with the ceremony under the wonderful Oak Tree and the reception in the barn with beautiful lighting. We loved that we got to have our family and friends here for the whole weekend.
Jewel makes the package complete by taking all of the stress out of wedding planning! She is super personable and always available for questions. With rain on and off the entire day, she had the outside set up and was ready to take action inside if needed. The rain passed 10 minutes before we walked down the aisle and Jewel and her team had leaf blowers and towels drying off all of the chairs. We truly cannot thank her enough for making our dream wedding a reality.

Our experience at The Oak At Millsite Farm was nothing less than magical. Jewel, Tim, and Beth were amazing, supportive, and helpful in making our day calm, relaxing and very special. I enjoyed my stay here for the most part. The current staff are respectful and work with integrity. The property manager Gary, helped me with issues I had with previous mangers. He is honest and does a great job with communicating with us tenants. The maintenance tech, Dave , is a one man band that has made sure me and my family were safe and comfortable. The lady’s that up keep the buildings are phenomenal. All of them together have turned this place around!

I like the location, it’s quiet and feels pretty safe. You also can barely hear the train which is a plus for the Sandusky area. I only gave it four stars due to the fact that it is under new management and they are still learning the ropes. They are quick to answer any maintenance concerns which is great. My only wish was that the office was open a little later so I don’t have to take time off to to go there if I have too.

Outdated. Dirty when we moved in, which we decided to ignore since it’s cheap and make the best out of it. We found dirt from circa 2015-2016 underneath oven when moved in in 2019 (postcards and bills with dates), which just shows that the apartment was never really cleaned, only “tied up to look neat enough” - we were still vacuuming the pet hair from previous tenant a year into renting it (and apparently you can’t have pets there). Never fixed stuff that was broke when we moved in (dirty carpet, broken towel rod, broken shelves inside the cabinets, broken screen in bedroom window - they just gave us the “inserted” one to put on top). Removed pool, promised barbecue area, that was never built. Once we moved out, they charged us for stuff that was broken since the beginning, saying that we’ve done it, quote “filthy carpet looks like it was never vacuumed”, when in reality it looked exactly like this when we moved in, full of stains - which wasn’t a problem for them. The owner seems nice, but shows the true self after you move out and stop paying them money, which is an absolutely low class move, sent us a passive aggressive summary with words like “filthy” blaming it on us, when it was “filthy” when we moved in, but they never seemed to care as they were receiving the money and had the agreement signed - especially that we were never overdue with rent and also payed ahead for the next month during the most difficult pandemic lockdown in 2020. Can’t pay online either in the 21st century.
