I come from a big Lebanese family, so I'm very critical of Lebanese food, but everything I had at Falafel & Grill was outstanding. We started with their fresh juices, then asked the employees for their favorite dishes. We ended up ordering the Chicken Shawarma Sandwich, Veggie Combo Plate, and Chicken and Beef Kabobs. Each plate came with hummus that was incredibly smooth and flavorful. Our favorite dish was the Beef Kabobs! The portions are HUGE – we had leftovers for days! Overall, we will definitely be back again very soon!

I love Mediterranean Food so when I say this was phenomenal it indeed was the BEST I’ve had! The Combination Meat is something I knew I had to try since it comes with 4 different kind of meats along with rice, hummus & a side salad, the meat was seasoned well and cooked to perfection! We also had the Chicken Shawarma Sandwich and Falafel Sandwich, which again had amazing flavors. Then to finish off we had these delicious Mint Lemonade & Mango drinks which were perfect for this Chicago heat! Highly recommend! 😁

I rarely leave a review about a delivery order but this one was excellent and I just had to. The delivery was through Uber. But the food was the star of the show! I've never ordered food that was delivered and looked just like it should. While also being the perfect temperature and tasting perfectly fresh.
The chicken was moist, not dry. The rice was fluffy, and the chicken shawarma sandwich/wrap was delicious!
The wrap itself was soft but did not tear easily, and the ingredients inside tasted fresh and flavorful. The best part was the meal actually tasted healthy. I look forward to ordering again or visiting sometime!

I usually go to Sultan's Market but came here because it was late and they ran out of meat. Glad I did. It was an amazing experience. I've been back twice since and have had their chicken, shawarma, lentil, soup, salad and gyros. Very good service. Nice atmosphere and the Middle Eastern music gives it a nice touch. I will definitely be returning and would recommend anyone to do the same.

I used to live in the neighbourhood and this was one of the main squeezes in my life for over seven years. Often a place will no longer be the same, and I had not been back in a couple of years. Overall a really great experience: food is fresh, fantastic and flavorful. It’s a fine run machine, the line moves quickly for ordering, prices are just right, portions are generous, tables are spread out and ceilings are high so the place is not loud meaning you can have a conversation as you eat, they have a bus staff clearing tables and sanitizing tables in between customers. I will be back! I highly recommend the Chicken Shawarma and Hummus platter that comes with a huge portion of both and warm pitas. It was so delicious!! There is also a large parking lot which makes it easy to get a spot. I noticed lots of people picking up food for carry out and tons of people eating in on a Saturday evening.

They had culture music on and the place smelled amazing, very much recommended especially their falafels. They cost 13.49 for 2 dozens. Which got my family of 5 full with extras. We've always enjoyed the casual dining experience where we order and find a seat. However, our recent visit was truly outstanding.
During their lunch rush, a staff member (perhaps a new expediter) went above and beyond. Seeing us arrive with three young children, he quickly rearranged tables to accommodate us.
He took our ticket after we placed our order, efficiently collected our food, and provided exceptional service, including prompt drink refills, extra napkins, and plates. (something they never did before)
For a moment, we felt like we were dining at an upscale restaurant!
High recommended!

미국 일리노이주 시카고에 위치한 스테이크 레스토랑. GOAT 마이클 조던이 스테이크를 워낙 좋아해서 오픈했다고 한다. 1998년에 오픈 했으니 두번째 Three Peat 을 달성한 뒤 인것으로 보인다.
시카고 하면 연상되는 많은 것들이 있지만, MJ의 전성기가 내 학창시절을 정통으로 관통한 우리 나이대에 사람들은 무조건 MJ를 떠올릴 것이다. 현지인들도 마찬가지인데, 만날때마다 So excited to visit The City of MJ for the first time! 이라고 하면 엄청난 호응을 이끌어낸다. 지금은 물론 스테판 커리가 그 기록을 갱신했지만, MJ가 이끄는 불스가 NBA최다승을 갈아치울때 신문을 보며 흥분했던게 엊그제 같다. 그러한 연유로 시카고 일정이 잡히고 가장 먼저 한것이 여기 레스토랑 예약이다.
입구부터 MJ의 흔적이 뭍어나는 장식들 (농구공, 티셔츠 등)이 있고, 2층으로 올라가면 자리가 있다. 가장 좋은 자리인 코너석만 소파 색이 흰색인데, 저 자리는 MJ가 오면 무조건 비켜줘야하는 자리라고 한다. 물론 비켜주는 손님의 음식값은 MJ가 내 준다고 한다.
메뉴는 일반적인 스테이크집 메뉴와 크게 다르지 않다. 당연히 MJ의 페이보릿인 Prime Delmonico를 주문하였다. Delmonico는 립아이와 거의 비슷한 부위로 우리나라로 치자면 새우살이 붙어있는 꽃등심에 가깝다. 1800년도에 뉴욕의 Delmonico 레스토랑이 주로 쓰던 컷이며, 1920년대에 식당이 문을 닫고도 사람들이 많이 사용하는 용어라고 한다. 립아이와 비교하자면 델모니코는 좀더 씹는 식감이 있다고 한다.
여기는 이러한 Delmonico를 45일 드라이에이징하여 구워낸것이다. 일단 시어링의 비주얼이 기가 막히다. 겉에 시즈닝한 소금이 아주 짭짤한것을 보니 시어링이 잘 된 이유를 알것 같다. 육향이 엄청나고 고기가 매우 쫀득 거린다. 곁들인 소스는 발사믹 소스인데 두번 그냥 먹고 한번 발사믹 소스를 찍어먹으니 딱 좋다. 위에 올려진 쪽파같은것은 마이크로 샐러리라고 한다.
사이드로 주문한 매쉬드 포테이토 3종 세트는, 갈릭, 고구마, 블루크랩이 들어간 매쉬드 포테이토다. 갈릭이 가장 입맛에 맞고, 고구마 매쉬드 포테이토는 오히려 달달해서 디저트에 어울린다.
사실 방문전까지만 해도 MJ에 대한 동경과 헌사로 방문하는것이지 음식맛은 크게 기대하지 않았다. 그러나 MJ는 미식가였다! 여태껏 먹었던 스테이크 중 거의 손꼽힐 정도로 맛있었다. 사실 45일 드라이에이징이면 육향이 어마어마 할 것으로 예상 되었고, 사실 그랬다. 이거 먹으러 다시 오고 싶을 정도.
시카고 최고의 스테이크 하우스라고 말할 수는 없겠지만, 호텔에 있는 좋은 시설과 분위기, 고기 질, 옵션의 다양성 등을 고려했을 때 그나마 미국에서는 가성비가 좋은 스테이크 하우스 중 하나라고 생각합니다.
고기의 질도 너무 좋았고, 분위기도 좋았고 너무 맛있었습니다...
웨이터가 친절하게 응대해주시고, 음식 맛은 괜찮은지 계속 체크해주셔서 팁이 아깝지 않았습니다. 기억이 가물가물하지만 빌 지에 팁이 포함된 금액으로 나와 있던 것 같아요. 저희가 팁 계산을 잘 못 했는데도 거슬러 줄 정도로 좋은 분이었어요.

사실 2년전 방문 했던 곳인데 이제서야 후기를 남기네요. 아직도 여기 스테이크보다 맛있는 스테이크를 먹어 본 적이 없습니다. 와이프도 같이 갔었는데 저와 같은 생각입니다. 가격은 솔직히 팁에 소비세 붙으면 비싸지긴 하는데, 관광객이시라면 한번 들를만한 곳입니다.

A wonderful brunch on a Sunday. Fresh, bright, and colorful, full of flavor. The menu offered a good variety of options. Gave me a chance to try something new and it was amazing. I started with the Charred Eggplant spread (baba ganoush) and the Hummus with Lamb Ragu. I enjoyed the atmosphere of Ēma. The lighting is even and warm, very inviting. The music is a medium level. At 11:30 am, the audio volume at my booth was 71.0 decibels. The food came out quickly. Unfortunately, there was a one inch piece of lamb bone in the Lamb Ragu, which they cooked with bone-in for flavor. I elevated this to my server and the manager. I am very pleased to report that after speaking with the manager, the restaurant took off the entire bill and added a dessert free of charge, which I chose the Chocolate Torte. I ordered the stuffed chicken, which stood out as something truly unique compared to the more common Greek and Mediterranean spots around Chicago. The texture and flavor were unlike anything I’ve had before—really distinctive in the best way. You could tell the food was freshly made, and the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. We didn’t enjoy the cheese rolls, they were cold and soggy as well as the fries. The cucumber lemonade needed more citrus but overall not bad. The servers were incredibly friendly but a bit slow. We found it to be a bit pricey for brunch and the breakfast for two didn’t make sense if it’s split with 3 for the same amount of food for two. It’s way too much food for 2, imo.

I came to this location to pick up an online order. After receiving my order I began to walk towards the door while opening my bag to insure everything was in there. I noticed only one sauce so I went back to the counter to let them know I ordered a tahini sauce and a garlic sauce on the side because I didn’t want it in the bowl. Middle Eastern food in a fast-food style restaurant. The food was pretty good although the falafel were a bit burnt. The bowl was hearty and especially suitable for a vegetarian like my friend. The prices were reasonable if not cheap. There are a variety of sauces but I definitely recommend the Harissa sauce if you can handle a little spiciness. The drinks were standard American soft drinks which I felt was a bit disappointing in a Middle Eastern place.
The staff was friendly but not very helpful in explaining the menu items, many of which would be unfamiliar to those without much Middle Eastern food experience. They were pretty slow as well especially considering we were the only customers at that time.
The restaurant was clean but had no Middle Eastern decoration or music. I think an opportunity to rise above basic fast food was missed.
Note: The location is quite near O'Hare Airport and King Spa Korean bathhouse, two places that I frequently frequent in Chicago. Drop by for a quick bite and avoid the airport high food prices

Falafel were made to order. Hummus was smooth as silk and I like they used sumac spice on top of the food which gave a nice accent of flavors. We were so delighted to find this beautiful and welcoming restaurant in the sea of so many to choose from on our way across the states! It was in the high 80*s and so we didn't try the awesome patio, but instead sat indoors in the simple but beautiful and very clean interior.
The owner's daughter received us (sorry we didn't get her name) and took such great joy in telling their story and sharing the most delicious foods! We ordered the Vegetable combo and the lunch combo, so we would try to capture all their offerings. The best Baba I've ever had. The rest was just as delicious as well. My only regret was not ordering a side of tabbouli (though we were quite full!!). I guess that will have to wait until our next trip to Chicago.
The Nnafeh was a perfect ending when we finally got home after our almost 6000 mile trip and we thank you!

Decided to come here last minute before heading back out of state with a party 7 plus a baby an dog. The staff accommodated us right away even though they were busy. It was also nice they allowed us to bring our dog on the patio. We ordered an array of things off the menu. The food was delicious. I highly recommend the lunch combo plate the meat was so juicy. The hospitality alone makes this place worth a try. If we lived locally I would def be coming all the time. Big shout out to the staff for being so great.

The worst beef shawarma I’ve had. Meat was sour burnt and dry. When I brought it up to the server, was told that this is what to expect. They gave me extra sauce which kind of made it worse because the sauce is dry too.

But menu was promising. Service was great- by time we ordered over 6 other tables filled up, places got packed. Quality beef shawarma and homemade soups- my friends said the beef Kefka was also very good. They have wraps for like $9-10 with fries and drinks for additional charge. I've been ordering delivery from here consistently for almost 10 years now. Almost never disappoints (like 99/100 are perfect) and is some of the best middle eastern food in Chicago. When you first enter, the staff are very friendly and helpful. We then moved on to the sitting area which is beautiful. It is an indoor outdoor restaurant. It was a bit rainy the day I went but the windows were open which brought in all of the fresh air. You could tell this place was loved by all of the drawings that hang from the ceiling. There were games available to play while you wait for your food, but our food came up within just a few short minutes. The food was a little heavy but it was incredibly delicious.

Ali Baba Donor is a little gem that deserves your attention. This is a smaller establishment that seats only about 8-10 people, but this is a prime example of how size doesn't matter. The food was fantastic, and the owner/host was extremely helpful. They were very conversational and seem to really enjoy serving people amazing food. I would highly recommend this to anyone.
One interesting aspect was watching the owners assemble the food. Through the glass panel I watched him meticulously layer each ingredient into the my sandwich; I was entranced. He genuinely wanted the food to look as good as it tasted, and because he put the time into making it presentable - I think it really adds to the experience.
I will definitely be coming back. The fries are an absolute must-try; some of the freshest I've had in a very long time. (No photo because I ate them too fast)

This doner place just opened up today, February 20, 2019, and it's on my way home from the brown line so I stopped in for their opening deal (a doner sandwich--chicken with your choice of veggie toppings, traditional yogurt or garlic sauce, and spicy seasoning or feta cheese--and a can of soda for $9). The owners are super friendly and welcoming, and the doner was really tasty! There are a couple couches/benches to eat at inside but I think it will primarily be a takeout spot. The chicken is normally decent but it was so dry last time that it may as well have been a cracker. I called the restaurant and they basically said oh well. Awesome experience considering I have ordered multiple times. They just dont care. Meanwhile our soup was not covered in plastic like every place so it spilled on everything.

The meats were seasoned perfectly and cooked absolutely beautifully, a truly impressive feat! Of course, we couldn’t skip the mint lemonades, a sweet and refreshing touch to our delectable meal. For dessert, we split a large, ultra crispy kenafa with a sparkler and birthday song for the birthday person - super delicious and a sweet touch! Parking was hard to come by, but it was worth every effort just to eat at this restaurant. I absolutely can’t wait to come back!

Food was ok, it took about an hour to get food after we ordered, server was kind and apologized for their kitchen being busy.
I felt not good as other tables filled after us finished and left by the time we got our food. While we ordered just a shawarma platter and some chicken item! Was very crowded, noisy and scary when we visited for a Saturday lunch.

Parking was free but was limited due to rush hour.

The Hummus and Baba Ghanouj plates were excellent appetizers, and the kenafa finished off the meal properly. My daughter, who always has something to say about the restaurants that we visit was very impressed by b them. The food is delish. We ordered a family plate and boy! The thing was huge! The meat was well cooked, the veggies well seared and the rice was fluffy. My son ordered stuff and turf and the shrimp was especially juicy even my 6 yo grandbb loved it! The service was flawless. They remembered us. The waitstaff were all polite and eager to serve. Excellent service! The atmosphere is warm and has good family vibe. The outside and inside are very presentable. You’d be proud to bring your family there. They always give us sweet surprise at the end! Lol. And they have bakery inside, you can always take home a box of their baklava and others. Ordered the Shakshuka eggs, labneh, falafel plate, foul moudamas, lahem b’ajeen, and egg pie. Everything was fresh and delicious. Try the tea, it’s a wonderful addition.
The waiter was kind and friendly, seating was quick. The waiter brought us baklava for dessert which was a nice touch.
They serve breakfast items all day so if you visit for brunch, beat the rush and get there by 11am. This is a must visit!

We tried out Libanais after a friend's recommendation and it did not disappoint. Started with the delicious cream of mushroom soup and split the Combo Libanais for our entree. I wanted to drink the garlic sauce with a straw! As soon as we walked in, we knew we needed to save room for dessert. Everything in the bakery case looked amazing! We got a couple items to take home as they gave us complimentary baklava after our meal. Everything was delicious; stop by if you're in the neighborhood or even if it's a bit of a drive like it was for us.

I went back after nearly two months, wanting to give this place a second chance since it used to be my favorite. With a heavy heart, I walked in, ordered a Bashka meal, and specifically asked for it to be well-done and toasty.
And trust me, as a foodie, from the very first bite, I fell in love with this place all over again! The Bashka meal is phenomenal! This is my comfort food, my absolute favorite—for real.
For those who haven’t tried the Bashka meal, you are seriously missing out. Trust me on this. If you haven’t had it yet, you need to try it—100% recommend!
The fries? Perfectly golden brown, seasoned just right, with the ideal crunch. And the Bashka? So juicy, so flavorful, so incredibly delicious. The veggies are now cut to the perfect size, the mushrooms are no longer raw, and the meat-to-everything-else ratio is just right.
I’m beyond happy that the taste is back! I’m officially a regular again. Honestly, I don’t know if they read these reviews, but at this point, they should definitely start giving me discounts—haha!

Every time I have gone *in person* to order my food as I live near this place, I am constantly disappointed. The only way to order is really online at this point. I cannot stress enough to not order in person; you will be ignored.
I went in and ordered a veggie combination in person and then waited more than 20 minutes while online orders were prepared before mine. This has happened several times. I’m not sure why I thought it was going to be different.
The cashier then QUESTIONED me about my order and asked for a receipt which he did NOT give me. I was floored. To make matters worse, I had tipped on the order too. What a mistake.
I’m begging them to make sure in person orders are prioritized. It’s really not a great system otherwise and it’s sad because I live so close I’d like to come here more but I cannot justify the terrible service I have had several times now.

The place is now called Zewer. It's a welcoming place the ambience is really pretty. The service was top-notch, specially this one person named Saeed I believe (6pm at 4th March, 2023). He was great guy, always smiling and polite, got food on time everything was good about him. The food on the other way really good too. We order a kifta platter and it was really filling. The hummus is legit along with the pita bread. They aren't very commercial and more homely. Definitely dropping here again.

Only complaint there is the Lebanese style bread cannot be split easily because the bread is packed into half while it is still warm. We came in while waiting for a train out of town with a few hours to kill before our departure. I got the Chicken Shawarma sandwich, and my partner got the Chicken Kabob sandwich. Tried this place again, food is still pretty good but for the amount you get, I can't see paying so much for so small amounts.
The best things so far are the fries, very tasty with the dipping sauce (as long as you get enough in your orders) and the Falafel are delicious.
