Luckily our servers assistant stopped by a few times. When you’re at a place like Jeff Ruby’s you hope that they have a level of service that meets their reputation and menu price. What should have been one of the most important days of my life turned out to be an extremely stressful day for me due to the hostility of the event space’s owners. My sisters arrived to the property at 2pm to setup and noticed it was extremely hot inside, hotter then outside. They could hear the air and just figured it might need time to regulate. At 2:45 PM my sister informed me that the air was still not functioning properly. I called Donnie, the owner, to let him know of the issue, and he informed me that he would be on his way to inspect it. When I arrived at 3:30pm, everyone was sweating bullets, using paper plates as fans, and the thermostat read 88 degrees. (Still no Donnie in sight.) I called him once more and he stated he would be there in 20min but did not show until 4:30pm. When he arrived, my guest were waiting in the heat, my cake, cupcakes, and makeup were melting and he had the audacity to tell me “sorry but there is no air”, as if it was an unfortunate event. We attempted to come to a conclusion with Donnie, and he suggested to refund $50 dollars back off of our total which was $500. The air was still not working so I refused his $50 dollar refund. I decided it was an unrealistic and unfair for him to offer only $50 off for four more hours of treacherous heat. In the end, I decided on a full refund and left as soon as we gathered and cleaned everything.

The Hosts are fantastic, everything was spotless, set up, lights on, quiet music. The views are spectacular. A fantastic location.
