The baristas were so so sweet and friendly, and gave us the WiFi for the cafe so we could study.
I ordered a matcha latte and my friend ordered a jamaica(?) drink. They were both amazing! I was enamored with the matcha.

We had a brunch there, really enjoyed it! The food was amazing, coffee and matcha as well. They’ve got quite a few vegetarian options.
They also have a very cute courtyard, unfortunately all tables there were reserved or occupied. But the cafe itself is also lovely so we didn’t mind.

One of the best brunch spots in town. It’s down to earth and doesn’t try to be high brow. The space is beautiful with a courtyard that provides an escape from the bustle while being just around the corner.
Service is excellent. Friendly faces and short wait times. Coffee is delicious and none of the orders have missed. We’ve made this our daily breakfast spot in the city.
The banquettes are made with fresh bread and unbelievably tasty ingredients. Granola is flavorful and the shakshuka is great as well!

I absolutely loved the courtyard area – it's such a relaxing spot, with vibrant colors and beautiful plants that create a peaceful atmosphere. It's perfect for enjoying a light breakfast or getting some studying done. The banana bread and croissants were both a 10/10, and the matcha was excellent as well. We adore this little cafe. Seems like a coffee and pastry stop if you just walk by but it opens up to a small dining room and even larger courtyard dining. We go every time we’re at n Centro Oaxaca. Which is now three times. Fresh squeezed juice. Cappuccino. Breakfast menu items for lots of palates. We tried our first Shakshouka. - Amazing. Shakshouka is a Maghrebi dish of eggs poached in a sauce of tomatoes, olive oil, peppers, onion, and garlic, commonly spiced with cumin, paprika, and cayenne pepper.

First things first, the handbrew/filtrado coffee is absolutely delicious. I’d recommend the sierra norte for its rich, chocolatey notes, and I’d like to thank the friendly and knowledgeable server for making the recommendation. I stopped by twice for two equally delicious breakfasts: one with shakshuka, and the other with avocado toast. The beautiful whitewashed courtyard is surrounded by trees and bougainvillea, and made me feel like I was really on vacation.
The only thing you might want to note is that the WiFi signal isn’t as strong outside, however there is a dining room indoors as well.

I loved how there were pillows/cushions on the benches we were sitting at, and the whole local-vibe of the cafe was really awesome. The artwork and furniture and just ugh everything.
There was outdoor and indoor seating, half of us were outside and the other half inside.
The waitress that was serving us was really sweet and adorable whenever she was trying to figure out who ordered what.
I ordered the iced strawberry matcha latte and the toast de huevos revueltos, which were both AMAZING!! I wasn't expecting to like them as much as I did! My friend got the avocado toast hot chocolate oaxaqueño, which were also pretty dang good.

One of my favourite food + coffee spots in town! There is a little rooftop area that’s quite relaxing which we loved (requires going up some narrow stairs but we somehow managed with a baby and stroller🤣). Their Mocha was absolutely incredible, so rich and creamy! Their staff are genuine and nice. Their Chicken & Waffles and Barbacoa Sandwich were soooo delicious! We’ll definitely be back :)

I ordered 4 mango smoothies over a course of a 10 day trip and the first smoothie I had was delicious, thick, icy frozen. After that first one they were all like mango milk, not icy or frozen. So for that the consistency was not good. The cafe has a great atmosphere and the staff are quite friendly.

There are four small round tables that can accommodate two-three people and a small bar for 3-4 people. The service is excellent and strong WiFi is available. There is a lot of natural light and airflow. I loved the profile of the Marsellesa pour over: a complex palette of flavors were evenly balanced from beginning to end and full bodied. The grind was a bit fine, in my opinion, but it worked. The presentation with mineral water is always appreciated. The typica-bourbon Americano was full bodied and pleasant to drink. Both coffees had mild acid and were toasted medium. Before I left, the barista let me try a variety called Costa Rica that they used in a competition the day before. When you ask for a pourover, they will let you smell the dry aroma of the ungrounded beans (which I certainly do not have the nose to differentiate much between the beans ;). The pourover was brewed well, a rarity for cafes. Art on the cappuccino was great. The recommended brownie, bread pudding, and sandwich (not pictured) were all delicious.
The coffees come from Oaxaca or more distant but still Mexican regions. They care a lot about local single origin coffee, which is wonderful for me as a tourist looking for local coffee beans to taste!
This cafe is a rare combination of good pourover + baked goods, if I’m back in the area, I would drop by again.

Get the Oaxacan hot chocolate with hot water (not milk), the panqué de plátano, the enfrijolada for a wholesome breakfast. The ingredients are so fresh, you can taste them in every bite. There only a few places to sit, so it would be hard to justify taking their limited space for more than half an hour or so, but in the meantime they hustle for anything you might want. Teo was super cool and helpful. He explained Terno's offerings and also shared his Oaxaca recc's with us. The coffee was funky yet delicious, served in awesome glassware, and the Terno's vibe (and music) were also solid. This is pretty much the ideal cafe IMO.
Would definitely return and also want to try some coffee at Terno's sister cafe, Escandaloso (in Edificio Azul).

directly work with about 80 farms around the country. We were informed of the coffee farm, coffee grower, the roaster and the barista. I’ve eaten here three times over the last two weeks and the food quality and service has been great each time. I had their vegetable omelette for breakfast and it was quite good and reasonably priced. The other two times I had salads and a tostada. Also reasonably priced, visually appealing and tasty. The courtyard setting with water fountain is another reason to visit. One of my favorite places to eat in Oaxaca!

Love this little café with everything from little tables in the window alcove to watch the street to a beautiful courtyard with a fountain. Very good breakfast menu. Also great place to take a little break from a busy day and have a cool drink and a snack. Very sweet service and reasonable prices.

First time in Mexico & learned this is the land of amazing food. My airbnb host had a list of recommendations to try & this was on the list. We are so happy we came to this little cafe! The ambiance was amazing, a little hidden courtyard among a row of very colorful buildings. The smell of fresh delicious bread wafts you into the place, and I highly recommend trying pretty much everything on the menu lol.
We tried the Jamon y Ricotta *twice it was so good* among a few other treats we took home. I don't think I spent over 20$ here and we left stuffed, definitely make this a stop!

This is a really cool spot with a great atmosphere and lots of adorable cats roaming around, which definitely makes it memorable. I stopped in for a snack—had a matcha and dessert. Both were okay, but nothing special. The music and vibe, though, are fantastic and create a really relaxed feel.
