This restaurant has had a crazy evolution in the past 20 years. I went here for the first time in 2004 when I was just 14 years old and these tacos have stuck with me my whole life. I have never been able to find a perrone or taco of this quality, not even in AZ.
Let me be clear. These tacos are the best in the world and you will never find an equal. (Cope Americans).
If you're in the Rosarito area or even in Baja California Norte, I would recommend visiting Yaquis every day.

There’s a lot of local hype about this place. I’ll say that the food quality lived up to the expectation, but the service is lacking. They have a method to maintain a long line of people waiting. The preparation area moves very slow to maintain a steady line, giving the illusion that they are overly popular. The truth is there is ample seating available, the long line and wait time is due to the staff intentionally moving slow. I can’t say that I’ll wait in line for 45 minutes again for what I’d say is just good, not overly great or fantastic food.
I’d stop by again if there’s no wait, but if I see a line like I did today, I’d rather go elsewhere.

They do one thing and they do it RIGHT: carne asada. Tacos El Yaqui has the recipe down and has some of the best tacos I've ever had in my life. Is the wait long? Yes. Is it worth it? Yes. The staff is friendly too, we even made a friend with the wonderful gentleman behind the grill. The tacos are pretty loaded, so I'd recommend 2. But 3's a party.

We came in for breakfast so it was kind of quiet when we were there. We sat in the back of the restaurant where it was like a rainforest back there. We really enjoyed the waterfalls and birds.
Service was very fast. Food was very hot and delicious. My husband ordered the Venison Machaca with Quail Eggs and really enjoyed it. Prices here are very reasonable. We will be back

I went with a group and wasn’t too hungry, so I stuck to drinks and appetizers, and they did not disappoint. I had the machaca de venado (shredded deer meat) and the house-made panela cheese with fresh flour tortillas—everything was full of flavor and absolutely delicious. This is a place I would recommend for when you feel like having a nice steak! They offer various cuts and sizes and always cook them with wood embers on a live fire. I know there are more papa's & beer in ste states but I haven't been to them.
Location is key here and papa's &beer is in walking distance of many hotels in the area.
It's a great place to bar hop and try different places.
Sometimes there's a guy who puts a Sombrero on you, pours tequila in your mouth and shakes you around lol it's just funny, good times and adds to the atmosphere.
I would definitely check this place out as well as many others on the beautiful rosarito Beach!
There are many good times and picture perfect moments to live here!

Our experience here was special as we were literally the only customers in the place on a Sunday. I guess they got all thier customers over the thanksgiving weekend. It was great being on the beach. Food tasted great however got a nasty bit of food poisoning later. Diarrhea and chills all night. Be careful of the food here. If I ever come back here it will be just for the music. The food will make you ill. Be careful. Other than that it is a really cool space. I was curious to come again when it is full swing.

Tonight hands down the best pork dish I’ve ever ate in my life. It was prepared with a slightly spicy pineapple sauce. I have no idea how the pork was so tender but that’s her secret :) I can with amazing garlic mashed potatoes and asparagus it was so good I ordered a second plate.I travel regularly and live fine dining and this place is one of the worlds best. As a foreigner who lived in Rosarito for years, I'd like to think I have a balanced view of what Club Iggy's really is.
First, I never got over charged here. Not once. Drinks and food are more expensive than some place not on the beach. But I was always charged menu prices.
Secondly, this is the best place in Rosarito to day drink. The deck has a great elevated view of the beach, or you can grab a beach chair and have some shade from an umbrella, or just sit at the beach bar like a tourist.
The sunset from the deck was always amazing and I typically paid my tab just after sunset and walked down the beach back to my house. No matter where I am on earth, I'll always periodically come back here to watch the sunset.
Also they have a ton of stage, DJ, and dance areas behind the deck. It's a bigger place than it looks like at first. They used to have an inflatable unicorn near the front. Not sure why that matter, but I loved that thing. 😂
The few negitive things I could say about Iggy's are really things that I could say about any beach club in Rosarito or Tijuana. But they're worth mentioning.
First, someone will, (at least one if not more) offer you cocaine, every day. I'm certain, some of them are cops. Personally I don't care, but it's annoying when they try to have a conversation with you and I'd love if Iggy's staff got rid of them. I'm also aware, this being Baja, that won't ever happen. So, get used to it. Also, I felt like there were times they were understaffed. I understand completely as a business owner, overhead can make or break a place, but at times it can make service a little slow.
Lastly, as you might imagine, the bathrooms could use an update. Unless they've had one in the last 10 months that I'm not aware of.
All in all, Club Iggy's is one of my favorite places in Rosarito and a regular place I've been going for a long time. Highly recommend.

It’s become a tradition of ours. Steve ordered one shrimp taco and one fish taco and Jose and I had 2 fish tacos each. Oh my god, I don't want to review this place because it's sooo good and I don't want it overrun with tourists when we go, but I need help remembering it, and I never want them to close, so here we are.
For reference, I have never been a seafood eater, I really only ate shrimp.
But with friends, I came here and suddenly wondered what other life choices I'd pucked up.
Fish, octopus, squid, the pico, the avocado, the sauce, all of it made up the most fresh, flavorful, "I never want to get up from this table" experience I've ever had.
Sauces and salsas were delicious and not heavy-handed; the delicious seafood speaks for itself.

My favorite spot for tacos in this town. I travel just to go here and have their amazing food. The consistency in flavor has not changed thought the years. The tortillas are freshly made and delicious. They have lots of meat variety to choose from as well. Every meat I have tried has been amazing but my all time favorite is the asada and tripa. I definitely recommend getting the personal order as two people can easily eat and be satisfied. The bathrooms are usually clean but it's always crowded so if you're going to be drinking a lot of liquids be sure to be prepared for this. Amazing Indian! I had the butter chicken and it came with perfect basmati rice. We share 2 orders of samosas. Filled with curried potatoes and peas. Cooked perfectly. The mango lassi was a bit larger than usual and perfectly blended with ice. I admit I thought the butter chicken was a small portion, but I was wrong. Prices were very inexpensive compared to southern CA.

I found this roadside taco stand when I searched Google for the best birria en Rosarito.. It is inside a shopping center, sharing the parking lot with Pacmans, (where you can find more traditional american breakfast like pancakes, omelet etc..)
After my third visits, I realized I am "addicted" to their birria (spicy beef soup/stew). 😁 I found their version of the beef soup is not too heavily seasoned with spices, you can definitely taste the super flavorful beef broth! Also, don't forget to ask for flour tortillas... absolutely among the best I've had!
Besides birria, this place also serves menudo, tacos, tortas and traditional mexican breakfasts such as chilaquiles con huevos/carne.. and the list goes on... (I only captured half of the menu on the wall in the photo I took)
I usually come here for a late "breakfast" when I'm in Rosarito, what's truly special about this place is the foods' consistent taste, I credit this to the man behind the open kitchen counter, he is always there, working endlessly! 😄 (I believe this place is ran by him and his family).
